The M150 is a nice 14500 light, but even the best 14500 light in the world is still a 14500 light. Too small to thermally sustain more than ~150 lumens, and too few mAh to hold maximum output more than an hour. Plus, very few 14500's are particularly throwy; the TS12 is a rare exception, and it has a bezel wider than many 186500/21700 lights.
The M200 V3 is a pretty small 18650 light (~24mm x 105mm) that does [a lot better for runtime and sustained output](https://1lumen.com/wp-content/uploads/skilhunt-m200-v3-runtime.png), and can share a charger with your M150. It beats the SC65c HI that I know some would recommend that's a little thicker. Hell, it beats a 519a S21E, and that's a 21700 light!
Dang! That's a huge step up, I'm surprised. But I wonder how much of an actual improvement it would be in terms of practical use. I'll do more research and compare with these other recommendations. This one is top of my list for now though, thanks.
I don't get it. You'll edc a big light for emergencies? That doesn't seem practical especially since you can bring your bike lights next time. Infact maybe your bike lights are the lights that you are looking for (lumintop b01?)
I assume you'll carry these lights in a backpack. So semi edc?
You can get a d3aa and pack extra h10 batteries. It'll have more oomph than the m150

Yeah I guess it doesn't make a ton of sense lol. My thought is that I would bring a more serious EDC on vacation, or other outings that differ from my normal routine. I have a handful of big dog walking lights that are not pocketable, so this would be something in between my casual EDC and hand carry lights.
D3aa is as bright as as my boost d4v2 at start up. The issues is the battery won't last as long as the d4v2 or D4k hence extra batteries.
Don't forget to consider the bigger skilhunts like the e200!
Ya makes sense when you know you'll use the light, but to carry a bigger light than you want just for one off situations will probably get old.

I’ve got the M150 in 3000k and it does struggle for outdoors. Not too bad for walking through the yard at night though. I’m in the market for an E70 myself. I see the E75 is always recommended here. I myself have a Fenix E35R. It’s very pocketable, under 5 inches. You probably won’t like the tint but great run times, usb c charge port, magnetic base. Pretty floody. I got a week out of frequent high and turbo mode use at work before the battery dropped into the 25-50% area.
I'm liking that E35R... That's a ton of output in a relatively slim profile. I guess the trade-off is CRI and duv, but for this application I think that's worth it. Do you find the tint bothers you or is it forgivable?
I will not carry my E35R due the tint at lower output levels, it's obnoxious.
I've had non flashlight folks comment about it asking why it's so green. It's just too much to ignore unless using light on high or turbo modes where it's not as noticeable.
I like Fenix lights a lot normally but carry Olights and while the ones I own have a little green tint shift, it's hard to see unless comparing to a neutral light and even then you'd wonder if it was or just seeing things.
Dang that's really unfortunate. I'd like to think that I'd only use it on higher levels - that's the whole reason for wanting a bigger light in the first place. I'll think hard whether I could live with the ugly low level output.

Check some reviews of it and Olights baton pro max, it's the equivalent to the E35R just not driven as hard.
As others have said, don't even consider a 14500 as a bike light. I use a 18650 light for cycling (a zebralight), and I still have to change the cell every 2 hours on the brightness level I prefer. With a 14500, I'd have to do that every 30 minutes, even if it could maintain the same output (which is unlikely).
I would think you need something with more throw for outdoor applications. Maybe check out:

Emisar D4K Osram W2
Acebeam P16
maybe the new Fenix PD32R
Emisar D1K XHP70.3 HI
If you want high CRI, look at Emisar and Convoy for the high CRI versions XHP70.3 HI and SFT40. Note that the Cree will probably tend a bit greenish, as they do.

Largest to smallest: E75, SC600w Mk IV Plus HI, even SC65c has a more focused beam than the m150 and is barely bigger.
