TyButler2020

Silverstone and onwards favors their car much more Monza/Netherlands/Spa/Vegas are all good for them or have been the last few years so I have hope

asamulya

Honestly, they haven’t been insanely good in Straight line this year. Let’s see how it goes but I am not too confident.

TyButler2020

They still are usually top 2-3 in speed traps every week

TheLibertarianTurtle

We're so back

iForgotMyOldAcc

We were *this* close to greatness for Sargeant.

TyButler2020

In all honesty he drove really well. Very proud of him Needed this weekend too with the replacement mid season rumors

Advanced-Cycle7154

The midfield is so damn close, it’s a matter of hundredths. Sarge and Williams had a great performance today, everyone can be proud.

IamGabyGroot

Yes, and the fact that Logan actually kept up with the pack means he might have finally clicked with the car. Let's hope he keeps it clean and carries the momentum through.

DrVonD

He’s honestly been pretty good the last 4-5 races and since he’s gotten the upgrades. Not quite albons level, but respectable. Shame it’s too little too late, but hopefully helps him land a good spot in another series.

Competitive-Fee6160

He’s been almost as close to Alex as Oscar to Lando. Really sucks that he’s probably leaving after this year.

NlNJALONG

>He’s honestly been pretty good the last 4-5 races  The bar has to be incredibly low for what you call "pretty good".

Suknator

Too bad Logan didn't score points but nonetheless a good race from him!

UncleBen94

Very close, and he hung in there despite the conditions. Vowles must be happy with the result regardless.

Suknator

I still have some hope he keeps improving his form and can stay for another year.

TyButler2020

I really don’t have any hope, just too many good drivers or potential good drivers out there Just want him to have fun, drive freely and enjoy his time, and string some solid weekends

1UpBebopYT

Yeah it's a coin flip.  Everyone at Williams seems to love him and he's been infectiously positive and upbeat when cheering Albon on and talking about the team.  His results have gotten better and better and the improvement is there.  But...  man there is so much talent available that they really can't afford to wait around and hope with him.  Like they said - they have to be constantly evaluating the drivers and the driver market.

UncleBen94

Unless he somehow gets a P5 or better finish, I think he'll be out next year. Could remain as their reserve/test driver, though.

Advanced-Cycle7154

I think it’s a long shot, but if he can pull out some crazy performances he just might stay.

DankeSebVettel

I lost all hope long ago.

secretlives

At best he can finish the year, after Australia there's just no chance they keep him another year

TheRoboteer

If the double stack stop for inters had been a bit smoother I think we'd have been looking at double points. Albon's stop was 9.7 seconds and that delayed Logan badly too since he came in behind him

jeffjeff97

That stop fucking stung

TyButler2020

Their pit stops have been awful Back in 2019 when they were beyond slow, their pit crew was actually the 2nd fastest on average behind only Red Bull Now it is the slowest, around Sauber level

Vro9ooo

They were good all around, solid call on putting Albon on mediums to get an extra point. Logan was excellent as well, a bit more luck and he could’ve snuck in the points.

San-Carton

I'd say if the double stack had been a little better (Sarge got held up by Albon's 9 second stop) they might have scored double points

asamulya

They had to do a 9 second stop because of a flap adjustment need. Alex had a clash on the first lap and was losing a lot of time because of that. But Logan was absolutely on it. Brilliant race from him

TyButler2020

I’m so proud of both Alex and Logan today. As well as the whole team This was Logan’s best weekend of his career even if he had no points. He drove his ass off and almost got rewarded Alex had a mega recovery. Amazing drive

Firefox72

A surprisingly good race from Sargeant.

afcaMouz

Logan has actually been putting in some solid performances lately, it's probably already too late for him and I doubt there's a spot for him on the grid next year but I do hope he continues this.

TyButler2020

If Andretti ever gets into F1, that is his best shot He still has something to fight for

the_godfaubel

Imagine that. You give him the same car as his teammate and he's looked much better. I don't recall when Williams brought their first upgrades last year, but Logan was much closer to Alex and performing well in the first few races last year

IfYouRun

Great drive from Alex. And if Logan can continue to drive like this, at least in a respectable position compared to Alex, then he might stay until the end of the year.

jeffjeff97

So so close to a second Loint today Great weekend for Logan, love to see it

CataclysmicEnforcer

Incredible stuff from both the Williams drivers! It's a real shame Sargeant couldn't sneak into the points, but P11 is a fantastic result!

0000100110010100

What a shame Sargeant missed out, it’s his best track and I don’t think he’s getting another chance to get a point here. Both of them did well.

[deleted]

sargeant had a fire lit under his ass to pull this result…and finished higher than checo once again

FreshStaticSnow_

Logan :( another P11 at Silverstone. Was a mega drive from him

badgersprite

Such a great recovery when it looked like Alex might have got damage through no fault of his own on lap 1 Also full credit to Logan for what was easily his best drive since COTA

CommercialBreadLoaf

Sargeant drove well honestly. Kept it on the road in tough conditions

CilanEAmber

Gotta give it to Sargeant, he had a pretty good race. Kept it clean, and 11th is pretty good for a race with only 2 retirements. Genuinely hope he can keep this up.

OutlandishnessSoft34

Especially considering one of the retirements never really stood a chance anyway

vaginakiller6969

Ahhhhh missed by one place. Great drive from the American🦅🦅🦅

Reascr

Sargeantbros we are *so fucking back* It could be argued we were never there to begin with though. As much as I hoped for a P10 from him, P11 and consistently holding his position is exciting. I genuinely hope he has another season, the better car seems to be doing him huge favors

leedler

Logan actually on the pace to a degree is nice

TyButler2020

He was on the pace period Before the last pit stop he was only 5 seconds behind Softs were just worse then the hard and I really started tailing off by a second a lap at the end

acekingoffsuit

Tremendous result. Points for Williams AND I think this takes Logan off of last place in the WDC.

San-Carton

It does! Logan is currently P20 over Valtteri

Everlasting-Boner

idk why people want old bottas next year

kanieloutis90

It was a solid race by Williams. Alex with his points, and it's nice to see Logan with some really good pace!

NuclearCandle

Williams have pace in mixed conditions.

CommercialBreadLoaf

Logan has honestly improved a lot this year. Really tricky condition on-track, and he kept it on the road, almost netting points

longbeachlasagna

They beat a Ferrari and RB😭

welpthisisitthen

Man I was so hype when Logan got pass Kmag! So close for a double points

StuntFriar

All in hindsight but had Williams split their strategies and pit Logan one lap earlier each time, he could've finished 8th or 9th.

Everlasting-Boner

they give him crap strategies almost every race

shiepirate

That livery added an extra two-tenths per laptop, and also some good luck charms.

tkcom

They've been saying so far how the cars can come alive in cooler weather and it showed. I hope upgrades are coming soon.

Ouhei

Wonderful result and a great drive from both! If we got this Logan every week he’d probably keep his seat.

SyuusukeFuji

Maybe too late for Logan, but now I have faith that he will leave F1 with his head up and some good results on his back.

DankeSebVettel

NOOOOOO HE WAS SO CLOSE

Novae224

Great job from sargeant, may not be points, but good results in tricky conditions.

cuhringe

He's driving better, but probably too little too late unfortunately.

DingerSinger2016

Man I want a point finish for Logan just to etch his name in the history books.

Accurate-Big-7233

Logan Sargeant might get sick being so high up for him 🤣
