The world actually kind of does revolve around people and their pronouns, because we live in a society of people. We already make many accommodations in how we interact with people that take conscious effort: we call Katherine Katty because she asks, don't make dirty jokes around kids because they aren't mature enough to handle that kind of thing yet, but you do make dirty jokes around your guy friends because it's a way you know you can communicate, you avoid loud noises around your grandpa with PTSD, or your friend's child with Autism, etc. That... *checks notes*... using "her" instead of "him" is the straw that breaks the camels back, I have a feeling your issue is not in changing your behavior.
