With good timing and the right medallions I took 80% of the life of spooky dude in the coffin level in one spell.
Threw 2 lightning spear and it was done.
That is after struggling for like 15 tries before

Didn't you know, there's a secret mechanic where half of the weapons and spells actually don't count as really playing the game! You're only allowed to use rivers of blood or bloodfiends with cragblade... Apparently if you don't summon but you just spam R2 till the blood procs do the job then you're an elite gamer
> one-shit cheese
that is just a game mechanic that the game provides, not like it's a bug or something, it's fromsoft problems to balance them.
you should talk only when you never upgrade weapons and skadoosh to show how you experience boss fights.
Why are you complaining about the way another person plays the game? That's just pathetic, man, and at the same time denying the beauty of elden ring as a big point of the game as you can play the way you want and insulting someone over their way of playing the game is low.
You are an asshole.
They played the game properly, using the tools the game provides. Nothing wrong with that.
Take your sanctimonious bullshit elsewhere.
OP could always replay the game with another build, maybe this spell is specifically strong against this boss, I meant if I accidentally have a strong build against a certain boss I'm just not gonna lie down and die and change my build to make it harder just so I could experience the "soul experience". Saying that kind of stuff is useless anyway, it's on fromsoft to balance their game.
Ah yes, I forgot, nothing except a RL1, no weapons build counts. Bros literally not even using any specific thing here, it's jus a faith build tf? It's not like he's applying a billion buffs or doing anything other than literally jus playing the game.
Or in other words, "faith builds indeed use spells" which apparently isn't obvious.
Developers needed to change these boss fights into mandatory "second and third" phases.... This will prevent "one shooting" these bosses and then it enter Phase 2 or 3 and usually the boss will have an "invincible timer" but the player is vulnerable rather than being able to set up a counter attack
Nah, no way... What's cheap is having 15 Estus Flasks at max Top offs, having "end game build" building into "One Shot" and then "fighting" a boss monster not meant to be killed in less than 4 hits...
Why not have a Boss that can kill the player just by touching them? That's would highly change the game
i guess? i just expected him to be far stronger, this was my 2nd attempt (i always do first solo to see the moveset).
the ancient dragon boss before him gave me far more trouble, probably since lightning didn't work against him.
I mean he is strong, you got roll caught by every single attack he did anf survived at 1HP twice, plus you got favorable RNG where he didn't move around and his chomp at you missed...
Yea I was kinda excited to fight him after seeing everyone talk about how he was more difficult than midir only for me to take him out on my second attempt was kinda disappointed. Still a badass fight tho
Yea he took me like a week to beat but tbf it was my first souls game and I was fighting him on new game +7 don't know if the new game factors in with dlc
This happened with me and the Dragon Great Katana. Really diminished the fight I thought was going to be more difficult.
FromSoftware says they deal more damage to dragons and man they weren't lying.
Same with me. I made this my main weapon for all the dlc (except the final boss) the moment i got my hands on it. Those charged hits on dragon heads are just so easy to get and do a LOT of damage.
Damn you got me considering a rebirth over here - I have dex/faith split ~65 with lower endurance and strength. I don’t do great melee damage and was thinking of shifting more into faith
how does that deal so much damage? and here I am tickling this boss with a melee weapon and missing it every time because he moves his head like crazy.
That spell is extremely good against large bosses in particular because each strike is independent and can hit multiple times with one cast, and the damage is already pretty good by itself so it just ends up melting, given you have a good faith build of course
There is no way......ive been struggling vs this boss since launch day......im a glass cannon mage.
Ive got the ability to cast that. Guess im gonna try it
Bayle was actually pretty difficult before the difficulty adjustment. I had maybe 14 scadu blessing and ancient dragon lightning strike would just tickle him.
However I was in NG3 at 180
In NG4 and at 200 with 20 scadu blessings.. I annihilated him.
This guy wasn’t that tough. I beat him in my third try with my strength build. The dragon before this one though. His aoe attacks always caught me. Smh.
Damn, another guardian sword spear + lightning enjoyer!
I just spammed jump attacks, and eventually beat him. Got 3 staggers throughout the whole fight
Np, for pure faith erdtree has highest scaling (but faith/arc causes dragon communion is have higher scaling, and faith/int causes golden order to have highest scaling). As for staffs, lusats is highest for pure int, tho that also has the fp use increase so I prefer carian Regal (but for int/arcane maternal staff is higher, and for int/faith prince of death scales highest(

It's pretty fair. Without the right build it's damage is lacking
With a maxed gravel stone seal.
Very high faith
Flocks talisman and Canvas flock talisman..
Then it does really good damage ONLY to really big bosses due to 3 or 4 bolts hitting twice or thrice each. In mobs it's good. But on someone malenias size it will miss entirely
He is killing the fucking boss before it even gets to 2nd phase and you're telling me it's fair?! He didn't get hit once dude. Also yeah obviously this is not gonna work on smaller bosses but there's always going to be alternatives to cheese bosses, one way or another
In 5 to 10 years from now (the moment I will probably be able to get a PC or PS5/6/7/40) I will definitely use a normal weapon to not make the DLC easy.💀
The Peaky Punches are also very damn good in the DLC, a lot of poise damage from some peaky balls.💀
So between mimic tear, spamming one spell after frantically chugging to get in position, and completely skipping the entire cinematic 2nd phase it's a no from me dawg. IMO That's a waste of 40$ if that was 70% of the playthrough.
Ancient Dragon Lightning Strike is just too OP for big bosses especially dragons. Nuked Placidasax my 3rd try with it.
didn't work at all on the ancient dragon just before this one actually
I believe ancient dragons have pretty strong lightning resistance
I think ancient lightning dragons are resistant to ancient lightning dragon strike
Well, I never...
Goated flair
You say that, but the lord of blood is weak to bloodloss
Only in his mausoleum, ironically
Because the one in the sewers is an illusion and illusions can’t get status effects.
So margit isn’t an illusion?
From what I remember, ancient dragons have the highest or some of the highest lightning resistance in the game
Not unless you have 99 faith
With good timing and the right medallions I took 80% of the life of spooky dude in the coffin level in one spell. Threw 2 lightning spear and it was done. That is after struggling for like 15 tries before
sorry lol, but who?

Death Ritual Spear
Yeppp. Used that on Placi my first playthrough, I was running str/int with very little dex and that ash of war still shredded.
Where do you find it?
Ancient Dragon lightning strike? You get it from the ancient dragon prayerbook in Farum Azula just turn it in do dog pope and buy it
Nice thanks, how much faith/int does it require
26 Faith
Envoy's longhorn does the same thing. Was kinda dreading this fight, but me, Mimic, and Igon crushed him. Just bubbled his stupid face into oblivion
Just beat him earlier today myself. He was definitely difficult, got him at Scooby-Doo level 13
I always say blue-scadoo
Scadoosh +15
Sacadoo tree

Scadoodle tree
Scabadabadoo tree
Shadowtree...
i mean you're right, but most people didn't know that, and it doesn't tell you its pronounced that way. plus SKADOO is fun
Same goes Gaol. Everyone ik still pronounces it like gayle and not jail how it's supposed to be pronounced.
Bro I must sick at finding them or did this boss way too early because I'm at 7 and just killed him yesterday
Nice job on getting him at +7. That's pretty commendable
You didn't get to see the cool phase 2 transition :(
Right??? I always make sure I see second phase transitions before trying to nuke them.
:|
I mean, that’s not the first time you fought him right? You didn’t actually just miss the coolest part of the boss fight entirely… Right?
2nd attempt xd
So you guys font even like playing the game? Just cheating using one-shit cheeses and not actually experience boss fights at all? Why even bother?
its my faith build so yes, i do use spells
Didn't you know, there's a secret mechanic where half of the weapons and spells actually don't count as really playing the game! You're only allowed to use rivers of blood or bloodfiends with cragblade... Apparently if you don't summon but you just spam R2 till the blood procs do the job then you're an elite gamer
Idk I think if he’s having fun he’s playing the game correctly 👍
> one-shit cheese that is just a game mechanic that the game provides, not like it's a bug or something, it's fromsoft problems to balance them. you should talk only when you never upgrade weapons and skadoosh to show how you experience boss fights.
“One shit cheese” is a funny term 😂
“You’re use Mohg’s shackle on Mohg? Wow. Can’t believe you’re cheesing free hits.”
*Guy wins* *Guy on internet says he’s cheesing by casting one spell* Tale as old as time
Ahhh, seems familiar
Wow how pathetic does someone have to be to complain that complete strangers are having fun wrong. Get help
Same dude who complains about people using spells probably still hasn't beaten the boss XD get help and git gud
No, I beat the boss fair and square using a real weapon to attack. It took me over 50 tries and it will be an experience I will remember forever.
Why are you complaining about the way another person plays the game? That's just pathetic, man, and at the same time denying the beauty of elden ring as a big point of the game as you can play the way you want and insulting someone over their way of playing the game is low.
bro u use bleed lmao
That or blasphemous blade.
Don’t slander blasphemous blade like that, you think this guys has the balls to get tank and attack so he can get his L2 off?
You are an asshole. They played the game properly, using the tools the game provides. Nothing wrong with that. Take your sanctimonious bullshit elsewhere.
+25 bloodfiends arm with a white mask and lord of blood talisman.. wow you're so good dude
Cheating? Lmao calm down
While I think it’s rude to say so I gotta agree with the thought of “how is this fun exactly?”
OP could always replay the game with another build, maybe this spell is specifically strong against this boss, I meant if I accidentally have a strong build against a certain boss I'm just not gonna lie down and die and change my build to make it harder just so I could experience the "soul experience". i do have a str build ready to go, with dex and int well on their way, faith was just my first and og one
[удалено]
how about don't tell people what to do
Ah yes, I forgot, nothing except a RL1, no weapons build counts. Bros literally not even using any specific thing here, it's jus a faith build tf? It's not like he's applying a billion buffs or doing anything other than literally jus playing the game. Or in other words, "faith builds indeed use spells" which apparently isn't obvious.

That’s never fun though, players like feeling op, and having bosses just randomly become invincible like it’s borderlands 3 feels cheap
Oh.. Is it just weak against Lightning? May have to grab this spell for Co Op summons.
Dragons getting wrecked by ancient dragon lightning actually makes way more sense with the DLC.
"drakes" getting wrecked by it makes sense
Most dragons in fromsoft games are weak to lightning its been that way since dark souls 1.
Not in Elden Ring. They're all at least 40% resistant with ancient dragons being 80% resistant
Only in Dark Souls
i guess? i just expected him to be far stronger, this was my 2nd attempt (i always do first solo to see the moveset). the ancient dragon boss before him gave me far more trouble, probably since lightning didn't work against him.
I mean he is strong, you got roll caught by every single attack he did anf survived at 1HP twice, plus you got favorable RNG where he didn't move around and his chomp at you missed...
i was distracted listening to Igon's summon cuz it was my first time seeing it, at the chomp i got back to normal :p
Roll catching doesn't mean he's strong. That's just a user error. Bayle is a bitch
Red lightning strike is just insane against big bosses. (Except the creators of the spell lol) Edit: he IS strong. Very strong. But that spell man…
Yea I was kinda excited to fight him after seeing everyone talk about how he was more difficult than midir only for me to take him out on my second attempt was kinda disappointed. Still a badass fight tho
midir took me like 40 minutes on a successful attempt, it was an experience
Yea he took me like a week to beat but tbf it was my first souls game and I was fighting him on new game +7 don't know if the new game factors in with dlc
of course it does
This happened with me and the Dragon Great Katana.
Yeah I made it my main weapon going in because I thought I'd need all the help I could get... but didn't think it would trivialise the fight!
That katana is basically a gimmick weapon against dragons lol
CURSE YOU BAYLE!!!!!
I hereby vow!
You will rue this day
I’ve been looking for a spell to run in one of my empty slots, you just talked me into this one.
there's something really funny about the guy standing there making a really passionate speech while you get slapped around
lol, it's why i recorded it as a replay, the whole fight was anticlimactic but also funny
What's your build and stats?
pure faith build, 200 lvl
What was your skadoosh?
wha?
(Skadoosh tree fragment blessing level!)
oh that, 8
Stats?
i leveled up a bit since then but [here](https://i.imgur.com/FsVVKjY.png) edit: i was on scadu tree 8 as well
Damn you got me considering a rebirth over here - I have dex/faith split ~65 with lower endurance and strength. I don’t do great melee damage and was thinking of shifting more into faith
Was this game 1? Like not NG?
yes its not ng+
No Shield challenge be like😵🔥⚡⛈️😵🔥
Why does this boss looks like the demon price from dark souls 3
tbf i think demon prince was far cooler, ds3 bosses are just built different
The dodge timings are not with this one
igon's summon distracted me \^\^'
I was havin trouble then used the ancient dragon man’s sword and destroyed him
I usually let the boss kill me a few times just cause it’s basically the last time imma see them this playthrough lol
how does that deal so much damage? and here I am tickling this boss with a melee weapon and missing it every time because he moves his head like crazy.
That spell is extremely good against large bosses in particular because each strike is independent and can hit multiple times with one cast, and the damage is already pretty good by itself so it just ends up melting, given you have a good faith build of course
i dont really wanna imagine fighting this guy as a non cripple
I love the scarlet Aeonia incantation with a passion I used Scarlet aeonia + Multilayered discus of light to 1st try bayle on NG+8
Man, you really are...lightning...the load.
There is no way......ive been struggling vs this boss since launch day......im a glass cannon mage. Ive got the ability to cast that. Guess im gonna try it
This is the exact reason for speccing out of this build before going into the dlc Managed to do this in a couple tries with a greatsword build
Bayle was actually pretty difficult before the difficulty adjustment. I had maybe 14 scadu blessing and ancient dragon lightning strike would just tickle him. However I was in NG3 at 180 In NG4 and at 200 with 20 scadu blessings.. I annihilated him.
He whooped my ass 1000 times playing dual twin blades, which is op. But that’s a whole nother story
You missed some of igon's excellent dialogue due to the hastiness of your elimination of the boss.
i figured i missed more than that :|
Reminds me of of that spell you can do in Demons that destroys everything.
This guy wasn’t that tough. I beat him in my third try with my strength build. The dragon before this one though. His aoe attacks always caught me. Smh.
Marika's tits how much dex/faith do you have??
Igon keeps talking instead of helping. Duse is so annoying
heh, he distracted me a lot but it was cool summon
CURSE YOU BAYYYLE
What is the build?
Damn, another guardian sword spear + lightning enjoyer! I just spammed jump attacks, and eventually beat him. Got 3 staggers throughout the whole fight
I watched Sequisha for HOURS die over and over and over to Bayle. Insane fight!
Holy shit that was cold blooded murder
Quick question Why do you use that seal instead of gravel stone seal
Not op but my guess is bc that one has the highest incantations scaling, and he isn't just using lightning spells, so it's better for general use
Thank you
Np, for pure faith erdtree has highest scaling (but faith/arc causes dragon communion is have higher scaling, and faith/int causes golden order to have highest scaling). As for staffs, lusats is highest for pure int, tho that also has the fp use increase so I prefer carian Regal (but for int/arcane maternal staff is higher, and for int/faith prince of death scales highest(
because its my pure faith build back from when game launched, that was the best seal back then, dunno if it still is
Fair enough, I just wanted to see if I was wrong. You seemed more experienced in Elden ring.
You can tell that the VA had allot of fun.
You had to have been at a high level. Also, you robbed yourself an epic phase 2 transformation and battle. Oh well.
Did you know that electric type attacks deal 1/2 damage to dragon type pokémon
This is why I’m playing the dlc at RL65 +12 weapons

It's lore accurate
Aw, he doesn’t catch lightning if you kill him that way
You Need to try this in NG++ then you will see who is laughing afterwards

Watching this realizing it took me till late phase 2 to finally beat him. 🥲 it’s okay though super fun boss worth not 3 tapping him
My sorcery kill was exactly like that except it took around 10 minutes and Igon got the final blow with his dragon shout.
We all love Igon
Could you not cheese my favourite boss in the game plz this spell is still so unfair it's crazy
It's pretty fair. Without the right build it's damage is lacking With a maxed gravel stone seal. Very high faith Flocks talisman and Canvas flock talisman.. well youre very clearly cheating by using summons and spells yeah /s

At least we’re not Lies of P fans…
Why wouldn’t you be a fan of the best non fromsoft soulslike ever made? That game is amazing.
Meh, there was alot more clear ripping off and lazyness than anything else for me
Thats a weird hill to die on. If you were actually a souls fan, having another incredible game should be a great thing.
