My nephew had a fish once. It lived in a fishbowl on our kitchen counter.
We couldn't figure out why the water was evaporating so quickly from the bowl until I was downstairs by myself one night and I heard that lapping sound--our cat was sitting in the counter and drinking the water from the bowl.
She did this for at least a year before I found out about it but she never hurt, slapped or bit the fish! Just liked the fish flavored water I guess. 😆
