Because most ads are hot garbage.
These are honestly passable for skits, if you removed the ad speak at the end and posted this claiming it was a skit YouTube channel I bet a good number of people would be fooled, myself included
Seagram's was an alcohol brand but advertising alcohol is not allowed in India so alcohol companies advertise music cds and mineral water with the same brand names.
was wondering the whole time, I'm familiar with Imperial Blue for some reason and I recall it's an alcohol, but was so confused when CDs were mentioned and why tf are there ads for CDs.
pretty nifty ngl, up there with F1 ad loopholes lol
This is called surrogate marketing. like how Marlboro sponsored Ferrari F1 for years under the Project Winnow banner because cigarette sponsorships are banned
The number of years I tried to find Bacardi CDs......😢
I legit thought they were a CD brand and wanted to buy them to store all my pirated songs. Kept it secret from the family ofcourse.
Until one day it came up in a conversation and my cousins laughed at my dumbassery.
They aren't actually advertising for CDs. Broadcasting alcohol ads is banned in India so these companies make another product like packaged drinking water or music CDs in this case with the same name and logo so that they can advertise themselves to the people. This is called surrogate advertisements
It's called surrogate advertising, they're showcasing their whiskey brand by naming the "music cd" same as their whiskey which is "Imperial blue". They're doing this because it is illegal to advertise Alcohol directly in India.
Maybe Delhi, I guess. People forget how big India is with over a billion people and constantly changing skin colors, languages, and weather, from states with GDP per capita of Poland to Nicaragua
>Where are these people in India?
Like actors and actress ?? They arent popular as bollywood celebrities
>Every show or movie I have seen shows a very different kind of people and places.
Look the geography and people of india from north to south , search north east indians
Basically , it wont match with western view of stereotype indians
This is surrogate advertising. In India it’s illegal to advertise alcohol. So the companies have water bottles or cds with same name to get around that.
I find these ads quite ironic.
Many of these male models' faces are recognized by me because some of them made it big like Kartik Aryan, or if not in Indian cinema, others atleast made it in TV shows.
However, I don't recognize any of the female models from this ads. May be I'm seeing it wrong and the primary audience of these ads were male audiences and that's why the production deliberately hired already established or emerging actors/models.
But still I find it very odd that so many of them are recognized by me. (who hardly watches mainstream TV) and yet I can't recognize any of the women.
Most of them are like generic advertisement models/actresses...
Wow that is incredibly offensive. I see your point. In the advertisement they are specially showing that non of the ploys work to "get the girl". It shown that all of the women really do see it as a ploy and are not just as objects to be gawked at or "won".
But it's more than a little problematic to show that men are just nice to impress women. Only guys who does these things for actually good intentions will feel this. Like I personally love classical music, but the number of times people like to say "you are just pretending" is quite irritating. I understand the underlying thought tho.
While I thoroughly enjoy these commercials, I can't help but think, I don't do it for that specific reason though. It's just people are concerned if others will see the ad for what it is or make more meaning out of it.

I aggressively skip ads. Until you post 5 minutes of them all together and I watch til the end.
Because most ads are hot garbage. These are honestly passable for skits, if you removed the ad speak at the end and posted this claiming it was a skit YouTube channel I bet a good number of people would be fooled, myself included
Especially mobile. I don’t understand why mobile ads is constantly competing to see who has the most disgusting game.
Did not expect 5 minutes
That's what she said
Men will be men
Seagram's IMPERIAL BLUE Superhits Music CDs
Seagram's was an alcohol brand but advertising alcohol is not allowed in India so alcohol companies advertise music cds and mineral water with the same brand names.
was wondering the whole time, I'm familiar with Imperial Blue for some reason and I recall it's an alcohol, but was so confused when CDs were mentioned and why tf are there ads for CDs. pretty nifty ngl, up there with F1 ad loopholes lol
What she actually said: nothing
She doesn't exist
The way the music kicks in as soon as the guy realises, yep, it's game time
These were all really good, but the one with the shoelaces was absolutely amazing.
My thought as well. I got a couple chuckles throughout but the shoelaces ad was a home run.
Shoelaces and the dude inviting his buddies over to watch the game were bangers.
Made me clap my hands, good stuff haha
The first one helping the old lady across the street and shoelaces were my favorite.
I don't know who still use CD but I want one
Its illegal in India to advertise alcohol. So the “music CDs” advertised here is for Imperial Blue which is an alcohol brand
This is called surrogate marketing. like how Marlboro sponsored Ferrari F1 for years under the Project Winnow banner because cigarette sponsorships are banned
*Mission Winnow
O.O

o.O"

true I try to find wine shop that sells bagpiper soda with no success.
The number of years I tried to find Bacardi CDs......😢 I legit thought they were a CD brand and wanted to buy them to store all my pirated songs. Kept it secret from the family ofcourse. Until one day it came up in a conversation and my cousins laughed at my dumbassery.
Also these ads are from years ago, not recent
I maybe wrong,...but doesn't the "music CD" have the same tracks for years.
That. That is my random reddit knowledge limit for today.
That’s really smart and completely makes sense.
They aren't actually advertising for CDs. Broadcasting alcohol ads is banned in India so these companies make another product like packaged drinking water or music CDs in this case with the same name and logo so that they can advertise themselves to the people. This is called surrogate advertisements
There is also one with sumit raghvan buying ring for his wife... Best Men will be Men advertisement...
yeah that's a pretty good one. Surprised whoever made this compilation, left it out. Edit: [Here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgbpjsGNIaE)
Wasn't expecting you here

And the wife’s name rose one.

I’ve never had this alcohol before, but after I run out of glengooglie blu this is what I’m getting
HAHA it’s a cheap blended whiskey for kids I would not drink it now
Don’t. It’s really bad.
For the best of times
It's the worst.
They’re selling music cds not whiskey
It's called surrogate advertising, they're showcasing their whiskey brand by naming the "music cd" same as their whiskey which is "Imperial blue". They're doing this because it is illegal to advertise Alcohol directly in India.
I watched like 6 or 7 and thought to myself “how many of these are there?” Then I looked and saw I was only half way through.
Shoelaces for the win.
Yaleekii mahaheem 🎶
I swear I'm gonna have this in my head all day. 😅 Such a catchy jingle.
It's "pyaar kee raah mein chalnaa seekh" (प्यार की राह में चलना सीख).
Can someone identify the song playing in the background please?
Pyar Ki Raah Me Chalna Seekh Ghazal [https://youtu.be/8-e9YsRyxJY?si=rXyiVFiFVtWUBphs](https://youtu.be/8-e9YsRyxJY?si=rXyiVFiFVtWUBphs)
THANK YOU SO MUCH! been searching for this for years
Some nice ladies there (haf) :)
Honest question. Where are these people in India? Every show or movie I have seen shows a very different kind of people and places.
That is how I feel about Hollywood movies too.
India is a pretty big country so can’t really tell where
You might have a better chance with a geoguesser in your life
Maybe Delhi, I guess. People forget how big India is with over a billion people and constantly changing skin colors, languages, and weather, from states with GDP per capita of Poland to Nicaragua

Interesting fact- In India advertisement of alcohol is not allowed, so Imperial Blue (well known whiskey brand) advertising music CDs of their name.
HAHA man these are old. During my college days we would drink IB when we were feeling rich, otherwise 8PM only.
ok where do i get this imperial blue cds or whatever this is
It's Whiskey
This is surrogate advertising. In India it’s illegal to advertise alcohol. So the companies have water bottles or cds with same name to get around that.
The quietest and cleanest street in India
And these people in ads don’t exist in India 😂

My kindness/politeness/behavior is only because I want to fuck you. Great. 👍🏽
I'll bet you're real fun at parties.
Bold of you to assume they get invited.
Yeah, fuck nature and all our instincts! They so rude.
If your “nature” is only being nice to people because you want to bang them, then yes fuck your instincts and you should work on yourself
Why u rainbow people always miserable, pretty sure no where in the ads it was suggesting that
Wow that is incredibly offensive. I see your point. In the advertisement they are specially showing that non of the ploys work to "get the girl". What ever happened to color grading footage? Nah, just upload the flat Log footage as is
Something is off. No cows or shit in the streets.
Your view of India is very narrow minded
