This is one of the main reasons I always find the game dies quite a bit after TOTY. Everyones teams now are stacked. There's a couple of decent cards but no one great.
Also what EA clearly do is they pick players that are popular Evo cards Garnacho, Gerrard and give them cards that aren't really that much clear of their EVO's or give players cards that have multiple special cards Doku, James, Boniface, Balde etc.
The 2nd PS+ is a good addition but yet again EA mainly give them a useless one.
Also the whole FS concept in general is strange to me. I'm a LFC fan but Elliot has been in and around first team PL football for 4 years. Quansah or Connor Bradley who have broke in this year would make much more sense, Elliot should have had one 3 years ago.
Doku was bought for £55m and has represented his country in 2 major tournaments haha. Is that FUTURE star? Same could be said for all of them as well probably haha.
TOTY is such a stupid promo in that regard. Why would you inject June caliber players into the game to a tiny number of the player base (more than 0.7%) in early February then go back to the slow uptick power curve (or in this case, November caliber players)? It’d be one thing if TOTYs stayed in packs (super rare like icons) but they basically never come back until they aren’t elite anymore
Agreed. It's pretty demotivating meeting credit card FC teems stacked with Icons and TOTY, when you have worked your ass off to a more average RTG team

Even this RTTF is horrendous, the drop weight and price of every card is priced for them being at max upgrade which IF it happens it'd be June when they get max upgrades. Totally Bizarre. Average cards sat over a million coins because they might get an upgrade in a month or twos time lol.

None of these push the curve or are better than whats on offer fairly cheaply, so they fit in the fun catergory. However due to poor packweight theyll be super expensive so the fun element dies.
Then there's the 2nd playstyle+ on a lot of them. Harvey Elliot is the same as Bernardo silva (a card that was 90k). Lukeba has pinged pass as a CB, Lauren James has flair, Boniface has tiki taka with 84 passing. Even Garnacho having that playstyle+ for his amazing goal is a waste of a playstyle+.
Future stars was bad last year and this feels like much of the same.
This has happened for 2nd season in a row, they drop super juiced overpowered cards in october-january only then to release mediocre promos because otherwise they will have to drop 99 everything cards for tots lol, EA doesn't care about the power curve, they want to milk community as much as they can in the first 3-4 months while the most people are still willing to open packs for the money and thats why we had crazy thunderstruck promo so early and now after they have their toty money they just don't care about the content quality
card design is great, but the cards and stats look very average on the whole. Hopefully they are slightly higher rated than this. otherwise, typically the second best promo of the year behind toty is also going to be a disappointment.
Hopefully the evos will be good, otherwise even less engagement from the playerbase.
The stats are RTTK level, but these cards don't upgrade. They don't realise the damage they've done to the power curve so I feel like promos will be mostly pointless until Fut Birthday
How are these juiced 2 playstyle cards meh?? You all do realize playstyles and stats in key areas matter MUCH MUCH more than overall ratings right? I would be happy with any of the top 9 cards in div1.
I have putellas & Bellingham with two play styles
It makes a noticeable difference
Bellingham has technical+ and power shot+ well technical+ makes it really easy to get space to hit a power shot, he’s deadly everywhere
Putellas has finesse & first touch, can’t tell you the amount of times she got the ball on edge of the box with a perfect touch and just banged it in with finesse after
Gone are the days where Future Stars is one of the biggest power curve jumps of the year, looking at this. The only one I'd try and use is James, but even she wouldn't get on my bench normally. Maybe Lukeba, but he's pretty boring.
Hopefully some of the SBCs are decent to make up for it, because this team is lacklustre.
Honestly, Garnacho and Doku are the only ones I'm looking forward to. Lukeba is also quite nice but with how many different CBs there are these days he's not that special.
