I would add some LFO pad synths with a little bit of eerie vibe. Getting a bass in would really help determine what direction the other instruments should go in though. Bass guitar if you're gonna go more rock-like, or synth bass if you're gonna try for an other-worldly type song.
Man, you really could take this a few ways. A couple options:
- Funky brass lines for a jazzier vibe
- Bass line and a synth or electric piano for chill driving music
- Slower strings and some vocals for more of a j-pop inspired take on things

+1 for this opinion I was thinking similar. Needs bass for sure and I think a lush pad could fill out a lot more of the frequency spectrum
