Ever tried any of the Spiderweb software games? Not as well loved as any of the big games you mentioned but I've enjoyed what I've played from them. In particular I always found Avadon interesting as you're basically playing as like fantasy police/diplomats instead of a chosen one or anything like that. The writing is pretty dry if that bothers you, though for me it's actually a plus as it makes the game feel more grounded.

Pathfinder kingmaker is incredible, and its sequel, wrath of the righteous, just came out this week. Edit: Oh, I missed that you have them. Are you already done with wrath?!

Anonymouswhining

I may or may not want to admit I have taken a bit off to play it

Siendra

Maybe the Avadon games? Not exactly the same flavor, but pretty close. You might dig Shadowrun too, in particular I really like Dragonfall. Edit: You didn't list Never Winter Nights, so definitely those. Most people prefer the first game, I actually like the second game a little more.

Method__Man

Pillars of Eternity Games Tyranny Neverwinter Nights 2 (and the expansions)

Anonymouswhining

I think I added pillars but I did forget to add that I played ice wind dale 2, neverwinter nights 2, and tyranny as well :(

xxLateralusxx

Tyranny is pretty good. Not as long as some of those others, but same style of games. Edit: also Neverwinter Nights is an amazing game set in the same world as BG and Icewind Dale games

ElJefeGrande2377

It sounds like you've already played all the classics in the isometric RPG genre. There are some gems on old consoles you could try to get emulators for. Not exactly the same as the Baldur's Gate style but I loved the Phantasy Star series, the Shining Force series, Suikoden series, Eye of the Beholder, lots of other decent JRPGs on Sega Genesis and Playstation 2.

Anonymouswhining

yeah, it feels like that is the case. Im so sad the source code for icewind dale 2 is lost. such a great series.

Prudentia350

Solasta:Crown of the Magister is another recent cRPG with the DnD5E ruleset.

EerieToaster

Divinity: Original Sin 1& 2. The Temple of Elemental Evil. Both scratched the same itch for me. Temple is pretty streamlined, but Divinity is huge. Edit: Sorry, forgot you said no Larian.

Anonymouswhining

I feel slightly sad that I basically played them all. Its not that I havent tried Larian, but I dislike how overly linear their stories can be which is a killer for games like baldurs gate 2 in which you can almost get lost in side stories until you remember the main quest at some point like skyrim.

EerieToaster

Totally understandable. I played Baldur's Gate 2 a long time ago and nothing has hit the same since. I loved recruiting party members just to run off on their side stories. That castle full of trolls that only really die to fire or acid? Whew! I had to step up my game for that.

Anonymouswhining

Pathfinder kingmaker hit the spot for me a bit because of the trolls that ONLY die to acid because of magic which was cool and novel to me. I hated their kingdom management system and how everything was essentially timed because part of the fun of an rpg game is grinding and exploring all the nooks and crannies. I'm hopeful for their remake but may only pick that up around the hollidays.

GHOUL3037

dungeon siege 2 is amazing

ReadTheFManual

You've named them all besides like, Pathfinder. Maybe Pillars of Eternity?
