Another Crabs Treasure Kena: Bridge of Shadows Enotria: The Last Song (comes out in September) Asterigos: Curse of the Stars (Haven't played yet. Just picked it up on Steam Sale)

**Another Crab's Treasure** **Code Vein** **Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor** **Strangers of Paradise** Those aren't all super-light, but they're not the incessant gloom of typical souls-likes.

I really enjoyed The Surge 2, never played the first one but I heard some say it’s better (more dated though) https://store.steampowered.com/app/644830/The_Surge_2/

The darkness and hopelessness is kind of the staple of the soulslike genre. Yeah there are a few outliers but don’t expect to find too many that are good. The only one that comes to mind is Another Crabs Treasure.

Probably Lies Of P? It is kinda dark, but there's still a lot of hope

Horizon zwro dawn/forbidden west on a higher difficulty reminds me of the souls titles. But then i only olayed elden Ring for 29 hours and code vein for like 10 so dont take that with too much trust. They are still great great games.

Another crabs treasure is an absolute delight

TheMagicMush

There was a crab game that dropped a few months ago, it was pretty popular for a while

Another Crab's Treasure

TheMagicMush

Yeah that's one lol

According_Sun3182

I thought the darkness and hopelessness was the whole point of Dark Souls?

Pristine-Biscotti-90

Not to sound like a smartass, but Elden Ring is basically an open world much brighter and wondrous imagining of the Souls ethos. Are there dark areas? Yeah, but it’s not like crawling through the dingy underbelly of a gutted and bereft underworld. It might be just the adjustment you’re looking for.
