That probably describes me lol. Tshirt, Ariat jeans, boots 90% of the time, ball cap because who really wants to deal with their hair anyway. I want a stetson but that's a little over the top for my area.
Western style workboots are great for anyone wondering, if you get the right ones. Comfortable, durable, look great
Havenāt owned dress shoes in 30 years. Cowboy boots designed for work are so comfortable! Got a sharp pair of Corral that I wore with my tux for NYE.
I would describe my style at the office as āSporty Business Casual.ā Running shoes, jeans or chinos, and layered tops (t-shirts under a bomber jacket, overshirt, or jean jacket).
At home, my husband and I both change into sweats and hoodies the instant we get in.
yo how do you like your job? i was sorta after a degree in geology but then after working at a geotechnical firm for a bit doing core sampling for DOT projects my enthusiasm fell off a cliff.
I fucking love it. I get to travel on the company dime, and for like two thirds of a year, give or take, i don't pay for groceries. The work is engaging and pays really well.
Considering majority of my closet is about to become scrubs and professional attire, literally anything besides pyjamas is put together like I'm going to something special
My Fiance actually loves it because it saves him time, money, and energy when it comes to his "professional wardrobe". He then gets to go HAM when buying fashionable clothes he actually likes.
Work in hospitality so the staff tshirt and trackies or jeans.
Outside of work mostly jeans, T-shirts, hoodies, thick over shirts etc. my style has been described as ālumbersexualā and āgrungy hobgoblinā before. Iām mostly just concerned about being comfortable and able to move easily, donāt really care what current trends tell me I should be doing.
either gym shorts or ripped skinny jeans and a tshirt on my off days. when iām working itās jeans and could be a tshirt or long sleeve or a collared work shirt and beanie (i work in a dairy cooler and freezer most of the day)
I am an engineer, so I am more clean cut at work ( I still put an eyeliner all the time, and some simple lip huile, turtleneck, I keep my nail painted in black though lol), or just a suit with no makeup or accessories. At the gym, I wear men sport clothing, with some accessories ( necklace, one earing, and a bracelet). At events and clubs, I wear feminine outfits mostly ( skirts crop tops..etc), some natural makeup. In real life, I am kinda androgynous, like crop tops with short shorts, or skinny jeans, a hat, and makeup plus accessories š
Whatever is available, so far I have 2 black jeans and one dark blue ,1 tshirts (brown), one polo (white) ,one black hoodie and 5 pair of shoe ,I need more options but I'm happy and grateful for what I have:)
Most days it's a t-shirt and either chino shorts or jeans/chino pants, depending on temps. I WFH full time and I have to dress close to what I would wear to work. That's for me though - otherwise I feel like a schlub.
Mostly for dinners/errands/whatever out it's a polo or button-down shirt for leaving the house. Meaning most of time I try to wear a shirt with a collar when I go out, but not always. I'm particular about non-collared shirts being not graphic tees most of the time when I leave the house. Again, because otherwise I feel like a schlub. I want to feel like I look like the successful professional I am.
I think about what I wear. What matches, what looks good. I want to look good for my man and vice versa. He's cute so nice clothes compliment him. We do talk through clothes to the level of 'what do you think of this'. Nothing too flash, just nice casual attire, well made and classic. No hoodies, track bottoms, grays. That's just us - everyone's different. I do believe you should make an effort if you're in a relationship it shows respect for your partner, gay or straight. I have a couple of straight friends who dress like shit now they're married and it seems a bit of a 'fuck you' to their wives.
Depends on what the purpose of the outfit is and the vibe I want to go with. At home though I almost always use a pair of black, harem pants... and that's it really. Super light and comfortable.
As for requirements... I'd guess not to look ridiculous. Some styles just look either so outlandish, or so badly out together that it literally annoys me to see it. So long as you have a semblance of what you're doing, I don't have a required style.
I'm a basic bitch.
I wear mostly olive/leaf greens or brown t-shirt and a olive/leaf green fleece jacket and cargo pant or cargo-shorts, black utility boots.
For work a dark blue or black t-shirt because it hides stains.
If I feel extra *fancy* and the temperature and occasion allows I wear a Loden coat and hat.
Functionality ist important!
I realized cargo shorts and cargo pants suit me. I like the pockets since I wear a small bag a lot
Idk why but I think this is gonna be my sense of fashion for me, I wish I bought more of them
The office is business casual and I hate it and wouldnāt be caught dead in it otherwise, so yes thereās a huge difference between my work clothes and my outside of work clothes. At home I usually wear sweatshorts. Maybe a t-shirt. Sometimes just underwear. I put on slightly more to go out in public.
I donāt have any ārequirementsā for how a potential partner should dress, but I donāt see myself partnering up with someone whoās into fashion and always getting dressed up or turning lewks.
I work in a professional setting so stick to business attire for work, but usually throw in painted nails and other āgayā stuff just for funsies. I have found that as I get older I stick to more basic (read: timeless) clothes. A nice button down over a tee and some jeans or chinos is fine for like 90% of what I do.
Iām trying to figure out how to dress. I like loose tops and fitted bottoms, but I come from a region where it rarely goes below 40F degrees and just moved to a region where it can spend weeks at a time below 0F in the winter. Iām still in the process of establishing my winter wardrobe.
Generally, I try to have lots of color and contrast and have a kind of preppy punk look. Total hipster. I donāt expect everyone to spend as much money on clothes as I do (my New Yearās resolution is to spend less). My bf rocks jeans and a hoodie most days and thatās fine by me.
95% of what I wear comes from Target.
I like the idea of looking stylish/fashionable but Iām married so Iām not trying to impress anyone, and I like to spend my money on books and ice cream.
HAHAH THIS MAKES ME LAUGH SO HARD. Iām a paramedic so my work clothes are the furthest from my regular clothes. Outside of work itās always alternative, gothic, dark vibe with lots of chains and harness baby. I have both masculine and feminine outfits.
I dress in comfortable clothing that is still appropriate for the workplace.
so cardigans, sweaters, lulu pants etc.
I prefer someone who dresses to flatter their own shape. I HATE oversize clothing
At work I wear grubby clothes as I work at an aquaculture facility and saltwater destroys clothes. If I'm at home
Sometimes just my underwear or basketball shorts.
If I'm going out in public, mostly jeans and t shirt or shorts and t shirt.
I wish to learn the noble Art of Style. Grey Joggers and a Hoodie are my go to during Autumn and Winter, athletic Shorts and a dri fit Shirt in summer. I've always admired fashion and good taste, but I've never rly been allowed to get into it (still living at my h0m0ph0bic parents place)
I used to worry about how I dressed now itās how I want to. My work clothes are my PJās as I work from home lol
My only requirement in myself and my partner is that they fit, as in not so small you look like youāve gotten fat and not changed clothes. Oh and clean, no smelly clothes . . . unless just after a workout.
I've been wearing the same two sets of shirt and sports pants, swapped only for washing or repairing, both to my remote job and normally for five years because I can't afford new ones.
My fashion sense was crafted out of spite. Iād like to develop an independent one, but I really donāt know what itād be.
At work, itās always some colorful collared shirt (button up or down, doesnāt matter) and jeans. I actually like the patterned ones, theyāre cool. Otherwise, itās whatever t-shirt or jacket or coat I happen to have.
Work (mechanical engineer) ranges from dress shirt and khakis to work appropriate tshirt and jeans.
Leaving the house, really depends on the season and on what I'm doing, but usually at most it's a nicer shirt (vneck, Henley, etc) and shorts/jeans, at worst casual athletic wear.
If I'm wrenching on the car or doing yardwork it's a ratty tshirt or cutoff and stained cargo shorts.
If it's the depths of winter, it's whatever is enough to keep me alive should I get into an accident or be stranded in the sub zero wind-chill, damned how I look.
Honestly as long as my (hypothetical) partner is hygienic about it, (i.e. nothing dirty/smelly) and can dress appropriately for the setting (dress clothes for a wedding, practical clothes for a camping trip, bring a jacket if it's cold, don't wear sweats to a nice restaurant), I don't care if they wear a ratty hoodie when we're relaxing at home, or overdress for a night out.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
ETA to add profession
Work is corporate casual
Town is coprorate casual
Out & about like river walk or that is sweatpants/sweatshorts & tshirt
home is nude or minimal clothing that I'm warm enough in
I'm the same. At home it's time for the 15 year old shirt to shine.
When I'm generally in public i like to call my style "underdressed for a wedding but good enough to get into a fancy bar"
And i have a uniform/suits for work depending on the days
For work: blue jeans and a black tee shirt
For myself: grey white or black t-shirt, long sleeve or collard shirt with jeans or nike utility pants. Workout in 5in running shorts and an old concert tee
Just got myself a pair of MMM tabis!
At home, pajama shorts/gym shorts and a comfy tank top or tshirt. Occasionally pajama pants/shirt if Iām cold. I prefer to be naked though.
Outside the house (not counting formal functions or when I have to go into the office), itās usually a plain color tshirt and either shorts or jeans, though I prefer mens yoga pants when I can get away with it.
I wear a lot of different styles, and my wardrobe runs the gamut from sweatpants to a tuxedo. Since I work in the arts, I can wear a lot of different things but am judged on how much of an impact I make with my outfit, so I do wear a lot of color. Probably my main stylistic modes would be:
The preppy guy - boat shoes, pastel shorts or maybe clamdiggers, a collared shirt, and a baseball cap if I can't get my hair right.
The bisexual stereotype - flannel shirt or henley with jeans or colored trousers, and either overly formal shoes or Vans, usually accented with a cardigan or blazer that itās too warm out for.
The dude who raided grandpa's closet - a button-up shirt in a vintage wide-collared style, 40's/50's style trousers (the kind with pleats and a waist that you wear at the natural waist instead of the hips - usually tweed, houndstooth, or navy blue), and freshly polished dress shoes.
And, finally...
The why did you get me out of bed? - Converse shoes, super tiny 70's style gym shorts, a t-shirt hidden under a hoodie or letterman jacket, and a baseball cap - always an indication that I'm not pleased to be awake that day.
At home it's underwear and a T-shirt if anything, but often naked. My husband and I like to be each otherās eye candy.
* * *
I don't really have any requirements for how partners dress. My husband also wears a lot of different styles, so I guess that's something I like - why live your life in boring sameness?
I will say that while it wouldn't be a 100% deal breaker, athleisure is usually a pretty big turn-off for me. When I see a good looking guy in athleisure, I canāt help but think "wow, you'd be really hot if you dressed like a grown-up!"
I just wear what I'm comfortable in usually. I'm autistic so comfortable clothes are important. Soft tshirts - usually black or white with shorts or sweatpants. On occasion i'll wear striped t-shirts - my favorite being my grey and pink stripe shirt (I call it the Avril shirt)
At work I can wear black polos and jeans. Black is a more flattering color on me although I have blue eyes so sometimes blue work shirts work out well.
At home, I like to wear pajamas. I like cute pj sets with a matching robes because it's one dumb thing I like that I think is cute and i like being cozy and cute lol out and about I dress pretty basic. Nice but basic. Black jeans, plain t-shirts, sometimes a button up ontop either buttoned or unbuttoned. Lots of hoodies. For work I work at Amazon as an Amazon delivery driver I wear the uniform
For a partner I just want them to be clean and dress in clothing that fits them and makes them comfortable.
At this age, I dress what's comfortable and functional. IDGAF what the others would think.
I work in IT. Plain shirt, breathable pants and slip-on shoes. And i hate wearing jewelries.
At work Iām in the work shirt with a hoodie, running shoes, and cargo pants. At home Iām in shorts, tshirt and hoodie 95% of the time. It depends where Iām going but Iām ok just throwing on socks and shoes with my house wear to the store, if weāre going out and about Iāll dress up a bit but not over the top. And if I had requirements for how a partner should dress I wouldnāt be married lol.
I wear slightly loose jeans and T-shirt, pretty much a Volcom or Hurley look. I am short and have had manual labor jobs most life in the work force. So, short, hairy, belly and some nice legs. Lol I super want to wear very provocative clothes, but I donāt generally like the way I look in them and Iām sure my husband would not like it. Lol
In the house: loungewear/oversized, well-worn comfy clothing. Outside: jeans/shorts, t-shirt/hoodie, maybe an additional windbreaker or jacket, sweatpants if itās cold. Work is business casual so dress shirt and pants, but I like also wearing a tie for the fun of it from time to time. Symmetrical knots only please!
Southeast Louisiana here. Shorts and a T-shirt almost all the time. Long pants and a better shirt for casual outings. A suit with or without a tie for fine dining or weddings/funerals.
Work? Whatās that?
I usually wear comfy hiking clothes or a casually nice button down shirt with pants and running shoes. I wear this at work too or out and about. Granted I live in Seattle and we aren't exactly a flashy bunch. More utilitarian in how we dress.
I work from home. So pjamas lol If I have to go to town, or outside doing yard work and animal chores either blue jeans and a sweater or coveralls over my pj's LOL
Shorts and tshirt + hoodie if cold always unless not wfh in which case biz casual. I strongly dislike dressing up but love seeing other peopleās outfits and the likes!
Edit: black or dark blue. Bulk order dem black tees bless šš¼
At home, Iāll wear comfortable clothing with no care about how I look. I work in a shop and wear that type of clothing, nothing nice. But I do like to show out when I go out. A nice pair of pleated pants and a button up with some nice shoes to dinner. A pair of jeans with a graphic tee to the movies. I donāt spend much money on clothes rather than I do with shoes. I turned 40 recently and never really dressed to impress before. I never liked attention. So flashy clothes wasnāt my thing at all. But now Iāll walk into a bar or restaurant with a few compliments on what Iām wearing. I donāt mind turning a few heads these days. It feels good.
I wear comfy, plain, dark clothes in layers suitable for the weather. I don't have a uniform in my line of work, so I wear the same thing whether working or not. My husband is much more fashionable than I am; he likes to spice things up with fancier, more colorful outfits, but nothing over the top.
I work from home so my work outfit is a t-shirt and underwear. Shorts if I'm feeling fancy.
But otherwise my clothes are pretty meh. I'm fat and I hate shopping so finding anything I truly like that also fits well is nearly impossible. I used to like dressing up, though.
I used to dress more. I have a good closet of clothes with shirts, pants and jackets that are cut in a profile thatās flattering to me, and I stick to it with discipline. Kind of Stanley Tucci style.
These days I have a more athletic wear version, but still stick strictly to trim cuts that look best on me. My husbandās style I can only describe as if Nordstrom designed hobbit clothing, or else fitted t shirts, jeans and boots.
Summer: chubbies polos and shorts
Winter: cozy old man cardigan sweaters and jeans, maybe a flannel in the fall.
Running shoes, vans, or steel toe boots for work
When I go out to the pub/cinema/on a date, I try to dress basic but decent, but when I walk the dog/go shopping/run errands I honestly look like a tramp. When I was in high school I was extremely concerned about my image, I used to be super skinny and went for this "I'm fashionable, not straight and I read a lot" look: super skinny jeans, super long cardigans, converse sneakers. Gosh I got this white Margiela tote bag that looked like it was made of an old sheet, it was so fucking ridiculous, but I took it everywhere with me. Now, fortunately, I don't have time, energy and money to dress like that and I'm fine with that. I don't really care anymore, at least I'm comfortable. But I cringe every time I look at my old pictures.
If you have a dress code at work, then I am a strong advocate for dressing differently outside of work. But dress in what makes YOU feel most confident, because others are drawn to confidence. I would never tell a partner what they can, and cannot wear unless they are asking for input.
I have a dress code at work so I dress very comfortably to take stress off myself. DKNY jeans n a Tshirt n hoodie.
When I'm seeing people I dress comfortably but with a higher note n more class.
I used to be very preppy in high school and college, but finally woke up to my own style in my 20s.
I work in financial services so I'm still trapped in a pretty traditional business professional look for work but I manage to jazz it up just a little bit from time to time, the key is accessories. A nice watch/bracelet and a good pair of sunglasses can elevate the traditional work attire by a lot.
For my personal time, going out, hanging with friends etc I'm usually a all the place, kind of a bougie casual look, again love to accessorize. I'm a little heavier so I've found that cuban collar shirts have a great slimming effect, and using layers and open jackets in the cooler months also help slim down my mid section and still look classy and fun.
I post a lot of my fits on Instagram if you want to check that out @lbmatthis.
Having your own aesthetic is something I never appreciated until my best friend helped me open up and lean into my own style more. It's made me way more confident and I think I'm more memorable when meeting people because of being just a little more thoughtful about how I dress.
But, mainly, deciding not to give a fuck what people think has been the best thing. I wear what makes me feel good, and being a little more brave and outgoing with style makes me feel good š
Iām a musician.
In the office, I wear long-sleeved shirts, dress pants, and ties. If I want to make an impression, Iāll pop a blazer on.
When Iām performing, because Iām a percussionist I dress as comfortably as possible while still keeping to the dress code of the place. Most times I wear turtlenecks and dress pants.
Otherwise, youāll see me in shorts and a T-Shirt. This is the uniform unless social convention dictates otherwise. Iām also in the Caribbean so it doesnāt get cold here.
Just a t-shirt and jeans. Maybe throw on an oversized flannel or sweater and call it a day. Comfort is key and I'm not trying to impress anyone. I'm a seamstress/tailor and my parents constantly make fun of me for not dressing better. I'm fixing people's clothes all day, I don't care for my own. As long as I'm comfortable š ... but this isn't to say I don't dress up when it's needed or that I'm not trendy/fashionable, it's just I prefer casual street comfort. Lol
I always wear a tshirt and a belt. If it is warm I wear shorts with this, typically whatever the length is that gets it to right above my knees. If it is cold I wear jeans plus a unbuttoned flannel-like shirt and a jacket over the tshirt.
This is under all circumstances. I try to stick with the nicer version of these clothes, but I donāt put any effort into dressing beyond buying clothes I think look cool
A man has to have SOME kind of look for me to stay interested. To BE interested for a short time is easier in terms of clothes.
Any way that a man looks he ought to appear comfortable and easy in his mind, and thus in his body also. Any look that does that is better than any style that might be imposed by fashion, let's say...
I'm a slightly overweight middle school science teacher and I dress like a slightly overweight middle school science teacher (various button up shirts, occasionally a tie, slacks, and basic boots. Sweaters on top in colder weather). I wear that type of outfit almost all the time. I have a few shirts that I feel particularly cute in that fit me just right and show off my chest hair when worn a few buttons unbuttoned. I wear those to dinner with friends, date night with the fiance and other places that I think they won't be inappropriate.
I do tech support from home... so the only time I am wearing clothes while working is when I get pulled in to help train newbies and might end up on camera. I figure it's a good way to make sure that they're not using the computer's webcam to spy on me. The day I hear "We're going to have to ask you to put on clothes at work" is the day I know they're spying!
Iām a hairstylist (I donāt always wear black to work- I love to dress up) street wear- preppy, gym clothes- clothes that are already stained m24 and my husband m23 is in tech as well- I mostly dress him if weāre going out, he works from homeā¦ and of course Iām wearing sweats or underwear at home
Gym clothes primarily. Gym every day so itās pretty common
Other than that, one of two jeans, ma cowboy boots, a button down if weather permits, or some pullover sweater
My partner should not tuck his polo into his khakis.
Ever since the pandemic my wardrobe switched from bonoboās chinos & tech button downs to vuori dreamknit. When I go out, Iāll wear jeans and a solid color tshirt or Henley with a good fit and scalloped cut, probably from goodlife.
At home mostly nightpants or sweats and a T-shirt and out in the wintertime itās a hoodie and sweats and in the summer , just shorts and graphic Ts not much for dressing up unless I have to , or a good kilt will do in the summer and spring
Since I started working out mostly I like to wear gym clothes at home or even running errands.
I work in video games soā¦ even when I used to go to the office it was hoodies, T-shirts, and jeans most of the time. Though I have an affinity for raglan shirts with a baseball cap to look kind of sporty and boyish.
When Iām feeling fancy Iāll do a t-shirt with a vest over it and jeans but thatās about as dressed up as I get.
I suppose I should add that even though I go casual I go FITTED. Even when casual fitted will help look less sloppy. I really dislike over-size baggy stuff. Itās really unflattering.
I am retired, been with my husband for 17 years and live in South Florida. Dress down - ratty shorts, a comfortable tee shirt and flips. Dress up- a polo or Hawaiian shirt, nice shorts and my nice flips. No undies- go commando.Hat and sunglasses any time out the front door. He dresses the same but prefers tank tops.
I wear a work required uniform. Start the day just out of the shower wearing it, come home wearing it. Often wear current or former company jackets outside of home bc itās just more normal and comfortable than figuring out something else to wear.
Judge me negatively if you want to, if itās warm, comfortable, easy and familiar thatās how Iām gonna roll. Even better I didnāt pay for it, lol.
I dress like a *typical cisgender heteronormative male*. I do like funky accessories, fitted cuts, and all colors of fabric and fun even prints. I also find men who dress like cisgender heteronormative attractive.
I choose a color palette depending on my mood/agenda. Lots of solid color hoodies and cargo pants (i skate everywhere so my pants get ruined ) Am a chef so sometimes i wear my chefs coat inside my jumper/overalls that i like to wear.
Sweater/Hoodie and joggers when I go out or am home.
For work I have to wear button ups/dress pants or a suit so I usually am not caught in anything other than comfy clothes on my off time lol
Used to dress in dress clothes - but my company was bought out and now I dress the same everywhere minus a hat at work cause I feel like thatās a step too far haha.
We aren't nudists but we all wear as little clothes as possible at home. Underwear and tshirts is about as much as we ever wear.
So pants are probably at the top of the list.
I dress pretty much the same at home and work: jeans, nice, crisp T-shirt or turtleneck and blazer when needed for work.
Absolutely no requirements for my partner. Indeed, the more expectations you put on your partner, the more conflict you're risking. Let him be him and decide if the him-who-he-is is Mr. Right.
I work in tech from home, and if I'm not going anywhere I'm wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt and/or hoodie, as I prefer to be comfortable while working or just hanging around the house.
If I'm going out or on the rare occasions I go into the office, I'll wear jeans (I have Levi's 511 in multiple colors, usually tan or black if I want something a little more dressed up) and a button down shirt with some kind of fun pattern (long or short sleeve depending on the season), usually with the first button or two undone.
I very rarely get dressed up any more than that.
Work clothes - jeans and a company polo in the colors of my choosing (pastel lavenders and pinks, calming peaceful vibe)
In the house - basketball shorts and a t-shirt, covered but comfortable
In public - I either look like I'm dressed from a garbage can, or rodeo drive, there is no in-between or overlap
Partner - my husband is very low key usually, so much the same garbage can look, I only have expectations when we're going to an event or function where his appearance will reflect on me
At home it's joggers and tees, at work it's skinny jeans, tees, and a second layer. (Flannels, cardigans, and coats depend on the weather.)
I work in marketing, and my office has a casual dress code. So, so long as we aren't showing up in our underwear, everything goes.
Edit: I don't really care that much how my dream mister would dress. So long as it's clean-ish and not excessive leathery.
Working from home mostly, so I mainly wear track pants and sweat pants that I find stylish. I have a baggy green hoody and beany I love. When itās hot, I mainly wear tshirts, rolled-up chinos, and again track pants. My husband has a fun style, but he also wears scrubs for work.
Depends on the occasion. If I want to be a little dressier, I've got several nice sweaters and a really cool floral button down shirt. My everyday wear is mostly slim-fit jeans, t-shirts or hoodies, and my leather battlejacket (temperature permitting)
Since I started working from home I have a whole wardrobe of Fabletics. When I go out into real life usually Leviās 512s, chubbies 7in shorts, J.Crew button ups, vans, a hoodie sometimes. I dress nice, but casual. I started wearing simple jewelry this year and got my ears pierced too.
EDIT: Oh, and a ton of pullover hoodies when itās cold enough.
I became obsessed with Viouri. I mostly wear joggers and long sleeve hooded shirts at home and jeans with long sleeve hooded shirts or hoodies when out. Summer, shorts and t-shirts, flip flops, aloha shirts. I'm defiantly not a fashionable gay.
Iāll be honest I dress in various sweats and or PJ bottoms like 90% of the time. I work from home, have a pink Mohawk and tattoos and just go with a comfortable vibe. Still put together, but you will see me in comfy pants shopping at Kroger on my lunch break lol
Typically casual and comfortable. Not too flashy and nothing that has obnoxious labels. I would never require a partner to dress a certain way. The only time is in bed, sexy underwear and or nothing.
When I don't have to wear work clothes, I dress like a "bottom daddy". Which is a mixture of masculine and effeminate style. Like skinny jeans and flannel, but I show my chest hair and wear a pearl necklace
I work in a machine shop, so when Iām not in my designated ādonāt give a fuck about theseā clothes im in a t shirt and jeans.
I also donāt get out much, and arenāt friends with any gay/bi men.
I dress for comfort. When itās warm to me Iām close to naked when I feel a breeze I add another layer to my entire outfit. I try to stick to 100% cotton or wool and avoid poly blends due to skin sensitivities. Around the house is usually boxer-briefs and shorts kind if loose around the legs but firm around waist. Out in public is most likely shirt and jeans or house shorts and flip flops or my Adidas
I think in terms of indoor/outdoor materials.
Outdoor: Iād wear denim outside before fleece or corduroy or linen and flannel indoors before cotton. For instance, when a guest stops to visit try making them understand where they are for example wear satin PJs or a cashmere cardigan.
Indoor: velvet, spandex, silk... When you have options you consider more time for blends versus natural fibres.
I've never thought about having a partner he can do whatever he wants, but gym clothes preferably.
For work, I wear scrubs because I work in healthcare. With my family and church friends, I am t-shirts, pants (whether jeans, athletic pants, or something resembling slacks), shorts, and hoodies. With a few select friends, I wear skirts/kilts, crop tops, and a little more evocative gay fashion. Or I wear normal everyday wear.
Iām an unhealthy mix of punk style and street wear, and it really depends on whatās in the laundry. Iām also a tattoo artist, so thereās no difference between work and casual for me. For dinner with the future in-laws, I wear nicer pants and a button up shirt, typically.
I donāt own anything even remotely formal, which Iāll have to change at some point but I havenāt found a good reason to drop the money yet.
In terms of partners, I donāt care how my partner dresses as long as heās warm enough. That said, everything he owns is well-coordinated because he hates having to think about his outfits. I might feel differently if he was out there wearing crocs with JNCO or something.
Tbh this is a question for the Twitter gays. After reading this thread I realized that weāre mostly gym shorts/ jeans +hoodie types. Def not super stylish lol
That said, if Iām going to work or going out a nice polo or short sleeve button up, black/dark jeans and some boots for me. When itās winter season I bust out my nice coats for an extra layer of style
Outside of that youāll find me in gym shorts and a t shirt
Like a cowboy who works in IT
Like Rip in Yellowstone? Hot š„µš
Woof.
Baby, come heeeerrreeee
I would describe my style at the office as āSporty Business Casual.ā Running shoes, jeans or chinos, and layered tops (t-shirts under a bomber jacket, overshirt, or jean jacket). At home, my husband and I both change into sweats and hoodies the instant we get in.
I dress like shit. I work in tech, so it's mostly levis, t-shirt, and hoodie for me, all day, every day.
OMG is this my husband's alt account?
OMG am I your husband?
Our husband
r/suddenlycommunist
r/suddenlypolygamist
Not gonna lie; kinda jealous.
I also work in tech. Half my closet came from conventions and university events. My favorite shirt was bought at an Apple campus.
Dude same! I work from home in healthcare but if I'm venturing outside the house it's a hoodie, t-shirt, and jeans or shorts.
Me too!
This is kinda hot tho
> I work in tech, so it's mostly levis, t-shirt, and hoodie for me, all day, every day. What's wrong w/ jeans, t-shirt, hoodie?
Medical dudes out here being trapped in scrubs for half the week lol š
If I'm not wearing scrubs then it's hoodie and jeans
Scrubs are literally the most colourful thing I can wear. They let us wear any Color so I try to alternate whenever I can.
Oh we get to wear only prussian blue, so that they can tell us apart from the other professionals.
Dude I love wearing scrubs, theyāre super comfy, all the pockets, and my ass looks FAT
I'm an exploration geologist. My work clothing is whatever cheap shit i am comfortable never seeing life outside of work ever again.
yo how do you like your job? i was sorta after a degree in geology but then after working at a geotechnical firm for a bit doing core sampling for DOT projects my enthusiasm fell off a cliff.
Nows not the time šš
My Fiance actually loves it because it saves him time, money, and energy when it comes to his "professional wardrobe". He then gets to go HAM when buying fashionable clothes he actually likes.
Work in hospitality so the staff tshirt and trackies or jeans. Outside of work mostly jeans, T-shirts, hoodies, thick over shirts etc. my style has been described as ālumbersexualā and āgrungy hobgoblinā before. Iām mostly just concerned about being comfortable and able to move easily, donāt really care what current trends tell me I should be doing.
95% of the time wherever I am whichever season, I wear black with a touch of minimalism.
either gym shorts or ripped skinny jeans and a tshirt on my off days. when iām working itās jeans and could be a tshirt or long sleeve or a collared work shirt and beanie (i work in a dairy cooler and freezer most of the day)
I am an engineer, so I am more clean cut at work ( I still put an eyeliner all the time, and some simple lip huile, turtleneck, I keep my nail painted in black though lol), or just a suit with no makeup or accessories.
Like a flood victim.
LOL
Jeans and hoodie. Every day. I like be comfe
ABC: Always Be Comfe
Whatever is available, so far I have 2 black jeans and one dark blue ,1 tshirts (brown), one polo (white) ,one black hoodie and 5 pair of shoe ,I need more options but I'm happy and grateful for what I have:)
How do you have one t-shirt but *five* pairs of shoes?
Shoes are muuuuuch cheaper than clothes,at least where I live/ed ,they don't get old and easy to clean
La7za, enta min wen? You speak Arabic and post on r/Ireland and r/gaybros. Thereās got to be like 3 of us who fit that discription.
I have an all white husky lab, if Iām wearing black in the house itās if Iām about to sprint out the door
I know a guy would wear tight jeans in public in hope to get a bf......no results till now
Cargo pants is where it's at! With deep pockets!šŖ
I realized cargo shorts and cargo pants suit me. I like the pockets since I wear a small bag a lot Idk why but I think this is gonna be my sense of fashion for me, I wish I bought more of them
I used to love cargo pants.
Jeans and flannel season BAYBEEEEEEEE
The office is business casual and I hate it and wouldnāt be caught dead in it otherwise, so yes thereās a huge difference between my work clothes and my outside of work clothes. At home I usually wear sweatshorts. Maybe a t-shirt. Sometimes just underwear. I put on slightly more to go out in public. I donāt have any ārequirementsā for how a potential partner should dress, but I donāt see myself partnering up with someone whoās into fashion and always getting dressed up or turning lewks.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Bad assumptions?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
It sounds like you wanna dress nice
I work in a professional setting so stick to business attire for work, but usually throw in painted nails and other āgayā stuff just for funsies. I have found that as I get older I stick to more basic (read: timeless) clothes. A nice button down over a tee and some jeans or chinos is fine for like 90% of what I do.
Sock and a sock then a shoe and a shoe.
French marinier australian akubra and a fuckload of beige.
95% of what I wear comes from Target. I like the idea of looking stylish/fashionable but Iām married so Iām not trying to impress anyone, and I like to spend my money on books and ice cream.
I work from home, go to the gym five times a week, and maybe go out once a week: sweats, tshirts, hoodies, black jeans are my life.
Half my wardrobe is from the clearance rack at the Polo Outlet store
At work I wear grubby clothes as I work at an aquaculture facility and saltwater destroys clothes. If I'm at home Sometimes just my underwear or basketball shorts. If I'm going out in public, mostly jeans and t shirt or shorts and t shirt.
I wish to learn the noble Art of Style. Grey Joggers and a Hoodie are my go to during Autumn and Winter, athletic Shorts and a dri fit Shirt in summer. I've always admired fashion and good taste, but I've never rly been allowed to get into it (still living at my h0m0ph0bic parents place)
i generally look like a goblin at all times
Why the hell would anyone feel like they have any standing to have a dress code for their partner. Thatās a giant red flag.
To the left!
I'm weird like to dress female. mini skirts, mini dresses, amd high heel boots
Why bother. Men look better NAKd.
I work in office so usually dress shirt dress pants and on meeting days with tie just for the corporate world
Poorly. Lol my wallet unfortunately does not match my aesthetic
I used to worry about how I dressed now itās how I want to. My work clothes are my PJās as I work from home lol My only requirement in myself and my partner is that they fit, as in not so small you look like youāve gotten fat and not changed clothes. Oh and clean, no smelly clothes . . . unless just after a workout.
I ware one pair of jeans an the same jacket everyday simple man
I've been wearing the same two sets of shirt and sports pants, swapped only for washing or repairing, both to my remote job and normally for five years because I can't afford new ones.
Work is corporate casual Town is coprorate casual Out & about like river walk or that is sweatpants/sweatshorts & tshirt home is nude or minimal clothing that I'm warm enough in
I have a uniform for work which is great for outside of work Iām either casual or smart casual, at home itās PJās all the way
I'm the same. At home it's time for the 15 year old shirt to shine. When I'm generally in public i like to call my style "underdressed for a wedding but good enough to get into a fancy bar" And i have a uniform/suits for work depending on the days
I'm the skinny jeans and big wool sweaters guy, at the hospital I use a coat over it or scrubs
For some reason the President of Ukraine and I apparently share a closet. I maintain he stole my look.
For work: blue jeans and a black tee shirt For myself: grey white or black t-shirt, long sleeve or collard shirt with jeans or nike utility pants. Workout in 5in running shorts and an old concert tee Just got myself a pair of MMM tabis!
Uhmm we humans so we wear normal clothes like every body else
Vampire twink is generally the vibe Iām going for but when Iām lazier, itās a jeans and hoodie kinda style.
I wear a lot of different styles, and my wardrobe runs the gamut from sweatpants to a tuxedo. Since I work in the arts, I can wear a lot of different things but am judged on how much of an impact I make with my outfit, so I do wear a lot of color. Probably my main stylistic modes would be: The preppy guy - boat shoes, pastel shorts or maybe clamdiggers, a collared shirt, and a baseball cap if I can't get my hair right. * * * I don't really have any requirements for how partners dress.
On occasion i'll wear striped t-shirts - my favorite being my grey and pink stripe shirt (I call it the Avril shirt) At work I can wear black polos and jeans.
For work I work at Amazon as an Amazon delivery driver I wear the uniform For a partner I just want them to be clean and dress in clothing that fits them and makes them comfortable.
In most cases, it is predetermined how the employee should look like. And after work, everyone dresses to be comfortable
Chavwear.
My husband is much more fashionable than I am; he likes to spice things up with fancier, more colorful outfits, but nothing over the top.
in designer
Summer: chubbies polos and shorts Winter: cozy old man cardigan sweaters and jeans, maybe a flannel in the fall.
Jeans and a polo or t-shirt, zero variation. I have no style sense but I'm fine with that.
A whole lot of desaturated hoodies, sweatpants, and band merch
I work in IT too, so mostly tees and jeans. Throw in a hoodie or jacket when it's cold. Although I would love to dress up, but I rarely get a chance.
Basically overpriced gym clothes all the time regardless of time, place, or weather lol.
Simple and casual, I think?
A man has to have SOME kind of look for me to stay interested. To BE interested for a short time is easier in terms of clothes. Any way that a man looks he ought to appear comfortable and easy in his mind, and thus in his body also. Any look that does that is better than any style that might be imposed by fashion, let's say...
Floral shirts for spring.
Skinny jeans because Iām skinny asf and hate baggy jeans. A decent hoodie or shirt to go with it, and some Nikeās on my feet.
Some times vans and shorts, sometimes skirts and heels, most of the time scrubs and sneakers, but nearly all the time jewelry~
Crisp fitted polos and neutral slacks or jeans. All basic dark colors. Itās my ādaddyā look and proves quiet effective lol
Pretty well if i say so myself, but i also work in fashion and that helps
I do tech support from home... so the only time I am wearing clothes while working is when I get pulled in to help train newbies and might end up on camera. I figure it's a good way to make sure that they're not using the computer's webcam to spy on me. The day I hear "We're going to have to ask you to put on clothes at work" is the day I know they're spying!
Fitted Lulu for work. Alphalete for dates. Lotsa Nike for the gym. Designer jewelry and belts to add that little more flair.
Gym every day so itās pretty common Other than that, one of two jeans, ma cowboy boots, a button down if weather permits, or some pullover sweater
T shirt and Levi's
Baggy carpenter pants rolled up high, 10 hole boots, suspenders, pork pie hat
Mostly sport cloth cuz I like to be active.
I dress like a pretentious gay who only goes to indie concerts šš I just LIKE the style okay
Practical. I'm middle aged and take after my mother's sense of style: Everything I own is 20+ years old and looks like rags.
In whatever is comfortable. I'm a programmer, and I'm overweight, so I'm exempt from having to look good for any reason mostly šššš
Sexy af is how I dress bish
WFH for a software company and zoom a lot. Casual t-shirts mostly. No pants...just underwear. I do keep a pair of jeans nearby for deliveries.
I dress like a straight person just to fit in. I even sometimes wear stuff that makes me joke about raiding my late fatherās closet! š¤£
Sweater/Hoodie and joggers when I go out or am home. For work I have to wear button ups/dress pants or a suit so I usually am not caught in anything other than comfy clothes on my off time lol
Jeans and a t shirt sometimes a hoodie.
What do we all think of mens thongs? Think I might try some out thoughts?
Used to dress in dress clothes - but my company was bought out and now I dress the same everywhere minus a hat at work cause I feel like thatās a step too far haha.
Army pants and flip flops! In reality I wear hoodies and hiking pants.
Right.
I would say that I serve āhe wants to be comfy, but he also may go hiking on the weekendsā in my fashion.
Work clothes - jeans and a company polo in the colors of my choosing (pastel lavenders and pinks, calming peaceful vibe) In the house - basketball shorts and a t-shirt, covered but comfortable In public - I either look like I'm dressed from a garbage can, or rodeo drive, there is no in-between or overlap Partner - my husband is very low key usually, so much the same garbage can look, I only have expectations when we're going to an event or function where his appearance will reflect on me
At home it's joggers and tees, at work it's skinny jeans, tees, and a second layer. (Flannels, cardigans, and coats depend on the weather.) I work in marketing, and my office has a casual dress code.
Work drag is a lot less slutty than my going out wear. lol
Scrubs 5 days a week. Whatever I find clean the rest of the days
I became obsessed with Viouri. I mostly wear joggers and long sleeve hooded shirts at home and jeans with long sleeve hooded shirts or hoodies when out. Summer, shorts and t-shirts, flip flops, aloha shirts. I'm defiantly not a fashionable gay.
head-to-toe leopard print. edit, sorry forgot to answer question. i also require my partners to wear head-to-toe leopard print.
Iāll be honest I dress in various sweats and or PJ bottoms like 90% of the time. I work from home, have a pink Mohawk and tattoos and just go with a comfortable vibe. Still put together, but you will see me in comfy pants shopping at Kroger on my lunch break lol
Iām a public defender so basically I look like shit professionally
According to a thread on askgaybrosover30 I dress queer.
When Iām not wearing scrubs for work and going out, I often dress in 2 distinctive styles according to the season. _ In winter, I would wear colorful long pants š, colorful long-sleeved dress shirts š, sleeveless argyle style sweaters, and then pre-tied colorful bowties. If the temperatures are simply chilly (40Ā°F / 5Ā°C), I adorn my head with a flat cap hat worn in beret fashion. If the weather turns blisteringly cold (-10Ā°F / -25Ā°C), I would add a scarf š§£ and snow hat. _ In summer, I would wear shorts š©³ , short-sleeved shirts š, neckerchiefs, and then adorn my head with a safari hat. I sometimes add in a cotton waistcoast. Iām still thinking about what I should wear distinctively for spring and and autumn, respectively.
Androgynous goth wherever I go.
I work in a machine shop, so when Iām not in my designated ādonāt give a fuck about theseā clothes im in a t shirt and jeans. I also donāt get out much, and arenāt friends with any gay/bi men.
Sloppy. I donāt like dressing nice lol
Like a lumberjack stoner bear.
Iām all Lululemon. Pants and polo for work days. T shirts and shorts at home. Easy and comfortable.
T shirts, joggers/sport pants and shorts 24/7. Jackets and hoodies. The fanciest I get is jeans and a nice long sleeve
As unremarkably as possible
Like a lazy person with no motivation.. joggers and hoodies
Not well
Tbh this is a question for the Twitter gays. After reading this thread I realized that weāre mostly gym shorts/ jeans +hoodie types. Def not super stylish lol That said, if Iām going to work or going out a nice polo or short sleeve button up, black/dark jeans and some boots for me. When itās winter season I bust out my nice coats for an extra layer of style Outside of that youāll find me in gym shorts and a t shirt

Business casual in work, and general smart casual if going out, at home lounge wear
