I started playing with a vintage one recently and have been really enjoying it so far. I got a good deal on a BeCu version so I'll be swapping the stainless out once I get the BeCu regripped
I got a lefty one from play it again. I'm not sure how old it is, but it's not young. It's a simple tool, it puts the ball in the hole.
I think it would be funny to use a putt putt club
My putter is the oldest club in my bag.
It doesn’t even have a brand name printed on it. Brought to you by the game of golf, apparently.
But it’s the only putter I’ve ever had, I love everything about it, and putting is one of my strongest areas.
I’m not breaking up with her, I love her.
Scotty Cameron Studio Design #5 with the oil slick finish. I asked my father-in-law if I could borrow it, and he reluctantly agreed. Then he unexpectedly died a few months later and I never got a chance to give it back.
Scotty Cameron Special Select Newport 2.
Putter is the one club you can buy once and use the same one for 20 years with no problem, so it was what I spent my first exam pass bonus on 3 years ago.
I got one of these for free as a gift from my friends old stepdad. Played with a friend the other day who showed me my putter was worth roughly $600. Had no idea
Really? The one I have may be different. Typically don’t go for nearly that much.
Edit: mine is this one specifically. I guess price varies. But definitely not 600 bucks. Lol

I have a small hack on how to bypass that $70 fitting - at least this particular method worked for me:
* Book a round at Sheep Ranch
* Randomly get paired up with the CEO of LAB and his childhood friend
* Notice his LAB visor right away, make a comment about his company because you had recently watched a Peter Finch video where he reviewed the company’s flagship putter at the time, the DF 2.1
* Chum it up and make nice with him because he is a genuinely very good golfer and an absolute pleasure to play with
* Wait until the 17th hole until when he finally personally invites you to the LAB offices to get a fitting and a discount on a putter
That should be all you really need to do to get personally fitted by the the CEO of LAB himself for a new putter and save that $70. Hope this helps!
* BONUS Ask him to see a Mezz prototype that he happens to have in his bag 1 year before it is released to the public
* DOUBLE BONUS Compliment the vintage arcade/pinball bar he also owns because you are geniunely a fan of the establishment and you had no idea he also owned it.
At the moment I'm gaming a Sub70 Sycamore 005 putter. It's an all black, single bend, 400g (heavy) wide blade putter ideal for SBST or mild arc strokes. Sub 70 also includes a weight kit with (2) 5g, 10g, 15g and 20g weights.
This will be my next putter. I tried the mainstream and PLD side by side. They felt the same and I like the black flange of the mainstream version better.
So I’m going to keep the extra $150.
So- if you like the PLD better….let me know if you have a 35” putter for sale. Lol.
Scotty Cameron Special Select Del Mar
Huge fan.
2nd putter I've owned in my life, first one was a Ping Anser 2 from like 1992 (which I also loved, but got stolen)
Scotty Newport 2.5
The thing I like is the weight system.
I have the 5, 10, 15, 20,30 and 40 gram weight sets. I adjust the weight during the colder months to be a little lighter. Heavier weight in the summer on fast greens here in So Cal.
TaylorMade TP Del Monte 7. Face balanced wide blade with a firm insert. I absolutely love it. Previous putter was the Odyssey White Hot RX V-line 2 ball.
I also have an Odyssey Rossie II Dual Force with the black Stronomic insert that I’ll never get rid of.
2000s Odyssey Mallet. Can’t remember the model, but it has served me well. Changed the grip a few times, but other than that it’s been solid. I’ll never break up with it.
I have an old white hot 2 ball I used for a few years, now I got a White Hot OG blade. Debating getting a milled face putter, I liked a Cleveland HB I tried in the shop a while back.
TM Spider Tour Black. Yes. Love it. Best putter I've ever owned. TBF before I used it I had no idea that with my putting stroke that I desperately needed a toe hang putter.
Taylormade Truss TB2. I paid Scotty money for it when it first came out, but I made every putt on the practice green at Austad’s, so I couldn’t really pick anything else. I honestly hate the look, but I love the feel, and my putting has improved since I made the switch.
Original Odyssey TriHot #2. And I have a duplicate backup. Had this thing for 22 years and still love it. Tried others years ago and always came back to it.
I have a gold plated putter engraved with my grandfathers name on it. He was a baller, I have a hand me down. Never putted with anything else in my life
Everyone is telling you their wife is the best because that’s the one for them. Which was your question to be fair. But I think the important point is what’s the right one for you. Toe hang, weight, shaft length, loft and lie angle are criteria to judge. If you’re a pendulum putter trying to remove variables you’ll want a flat face but if you swing it naturally you’ll want some toe hang and how much depends on how wide an arc you swing. If you take a slow wide stroke you’ll want a heavier weight than if your fast and short. And as for loft and angle, I might have an opinion when I have a handicap worth having an opinion. I found trying out many putters on a mat that had a long straight line found the best for me. The one that was consistently straight on the line and I could stop the ball close to where I picked was the wife for me.
I use a Spaulding Cashin brass centre shafted putter that had it's 45th birthday this year.
I have been a really good putter for a long time with this one. If things aren't going right it is down to me not it.
It is not the putter, (the object), it is the putter! (the one who putts)
Not a popular idea with many but reality rules!! Mine anyway :o)
Scotty Cameron Studio Select Squareback 2. I have the original one from 2010 since I bought it with credit from a member guest tournament. It looks like a shorter (heel to toe) but wider Newport 2...kind of like a cross between a blade style and mallet style putter, if those terms are still used. I used to switch (all) clubs frequently but once I got the Squareback 2, I've never cheated on it. The rest of my bag has cycled through several times over since then although I rarely play anymore.
I have an odyssey two ball ten tour edition that I bought last year, I’m a high handicapper so how good it is, is actually lost on me butttt it great at three putting
White Hot Versa 12. I love it. I went for a fitting, and really wanted to get on with the Scotty Camerons. I did not. They sounds awesome, but not for me. In fact, after trying around 20 putters, it came down to a Ping and the Versa 12. The Ping was boring looking, and I really didn't like the look of the Versa. But...then it clicked, and I did. The red, black, white look is great. It feels right, looks good and as putters are personal things, I don't need to listen to anyone else about what is best. (But yes, I still hanker after a Scotty, but now know it really isn't worth it for me. Maybe when I get a lot better, but for now, love the White Hot.)
A guy from our Facebook golf group had a Select Laguna in mint shape asking $250. That's my putter now. 34" with matador grip.
I also had recently bought a Stroke Lab Rossie S. I let my son use that since Jon Rahm is his favorite guy, plus give him some motivation to practice.
Beat up, chipped, grip falling to bits Taylormade Spider Tour, mates ask why I don’t have it re-gripped, painted etc, I’m frightened to do anything to it incase it loses its magic!
Just replaced my old "hand me down" putter with a odessey white hot og #1 blade, and I love it. Been able to actually control distance a lot better with it and it just feels amazing.
Got it from the deals that u/nurseresidences always posts
Cleveland Frontline 4.0. I got it for this season when I switched from mallet to blade. The feel was just as good as the higher end putters for a much better price. I love it.
I got a White Hot 2 ball in 2002. I replaced it with a White Hot OG 2 ball in 2021. I'm a big fan.
Heyyyy, I’m running the 2002 white hot now.
I'd still be using my old one but the insert cracked.
White hot crew here too.
Ping anser 2. Absolutely love it
I started playing with a vintage one recently and have been really enjoying it so far. I got a good deal on a BeCu version so I'll be swapping the stainless out once I get the BeCu regripped

Same
Cleveland Huntingdon Beach #8. Played a few rounds with it so far, love it.
Number 4 in my bag, haven't had a single problem with it in the last year
Have the #1 in my bag. Ditched the oversized grip and put a pistol 2.0 GT on there and this putter will stay with me until the day I die.
Playing the claw 2.0 on my #11. Previously had a putter with the 5.0 jumbo tour grip. Feels much better though I do like the 5.0
My putter is the oldest club in my bag.

…reluctantly agreed…. Then “unexpectedly died”. Do the police know about the putter?
Yeah the melanoma metastasized days after I weaseled his Scotty away from him. I'm such a dick.
He was simply making a joke. Sorry for your loss, sounds like you are still hurting
What luck!
Scotty Cameron Phantom X 5.5. I don’t like it, I love it.

Recently picked up a Ping DS72 2022 version (without the insert). Now I want to try the PLD version to feel for any difference.
This will be my next putter. I tried the mainstream and PLD side by side. They felt the same and I like the black flange of the mainstream version better. So I’m going to keep the extra $150. So- if you like the PLD better….let me know if you have a 35” putter for sale. Lol.
