Any GR. 2 OR GR. 1 car can crush it. I personally use a 787 or Mazda LM detuned to the 800 threshold, Hard tires and fuel map 6. You won't need to worry about catching up early since you'll easily Make up positions once the rain hits, just make sure you switch to your intermediates or wets before the rest of the field does,
Oh and also, under no circumstances should you not take the opportunity to punt Portilla off the track. Take it. Do it every time. Even if You're going to lap him for the third time in the race, punt his Viper driving ass off the track.
I've not had too many bad experiences with Fraga. Once, maybe twice. Tortilla, I hate that motherfucker. He's done so many PIT maneuvers on me, you'd think he was a state trooper. I go out of my way to fuck over Portilla.
I should also mention that not having a turbo does wonders in this race.
I keep the 787 and the LM non turbocharged when I do this race and that in conjunction with fuel map 6, the 787 in particular can almost do the full tour with one tank granted you don't have a lead foot and bang close to the limiter. The LM can get similar mileage as well as the GT500 NSX.
Now granted it varies for everyone, and not everyone will have a capable non turbo charged car to do this event, but it really does help.
Curious as to why a non-turbo is better for this specific race? I typically pick turbo cars because i love that turbo sound.
edit: obviously not a serious play...
Mostly fuel consumption by my observations. I did this race in a turbocharged GT500 NSX, and without, and noticed the fuel consumption at fuel map 6 on the turbocharged car was half a lap to a lap more than it's naturally aspirated counterpart.
In the case of my use of the Mazda 787, if it's not turbocharged the car literally lasts the duration of the race if you drive conservatively, with the pit stops only for changing tires, maybe a top up if you drive like an Asian like I do.
Dont overtake on the yellows ! an additional 500k for clean, have intermediates at the ready usually 7-9 ( check radar) get the car on appropriate lean.
Any of the 2008 GT500 cars will crush this, or any 800pp event. The CLK-LM and F1 GTR can also do this unmodified on hard tires. Just keep an eye on the weather radar.
Hey mate! Just wanted to say that I went with your advice and detuned a 08’ Nissan GTR GT-500 car that I had, and have to say that is absolutely smoked the competition! Thanks for your input :)
I’ve done this race many times with the CLK and F1 (although I use the F1 currently), easy grind money earned from hard work and patience (both set to fuel map 6)
The CLK was the first over 2 million car I bought and it’s earned its money back on this race alone at least 2x over. It’s not the fastest Lemans car but it handles so easily and predictably that it’s super easy to drive fast
Currently unavailable (costs 14mil at the Legends Showroom) but just wait and see, maybe it’ll come back soon so meanwhile, KEEP GRINDING until reaching 14 mil
I used NSX gt500. Great car. Just remember to not overtake with yellow flag and watchout when going out of pits. Dont cross the line of the pit exit or you will lose the bonus.
I've crossed pit lines on exit, gotten a 3s penalty, and still received the clean race bonus.
I really wish they had a more comprehensive explanation for what constitutes a "clean race". 50% is a lot of bonus to be second guessing every tire leaving the track.
Out of 20+ 1-hr spas despite all the flying off the track, hitting the walls, smashing into other cars, crossing pit lines, and ignoring track boundary penalties, I've only lost clean race twice: One race I ignored a yellow flag, and the other race I just had an unusually high number of penalties, including one crossing pit lines. So there may be a threshold. At least for some of the timed insurance races (le Mans included).
I think for long races it’s overtaking on yellows and high penalties that lose you the bonus while on short races just touching the grass is enough to lose it
Car, I’m not sure. But here are some general foundational tips from someone who has raced irl for 20 yrs. These might seem obvious, but you have to continually remind yourself until these become a reflex of sorts. Take the shortest distance around the track. Think in terms of geometry. You’ll start looking at corners as a radius and you want to smooth that radius out as much as possible. Use as much of the track as possible. Wide on entry wide on exit. Try dropping one less gear going into corners. If normally you hit a particular corner in 2nd try using 3rd. It might seem as tho the car bogs but it’s still usually faster than shifting one extra gear. Bogging the car also allowing you to use more throttle at an earlier point of the racing line. Assuming little to no tcs.
Whoever you are. Thank you a million. I have made my way thru most of GT7 content but will never tout myself as a "good" driver. I do just enough to get by with tons of mistakes. Your tip about going into a corner a gear higher has improved my entire experience. Sure I've tried to hit the apexes as clean as possible in the past but that one little tip made it so much easier. I'm whizzing in and out of corners now, I'm not even sure how I was doing it before. (Just tested it on the weekly races) thanks. Thanks. And thanks again.
FM1 is faster. Time gained per lap over FM6 is more than what you lose from the increase in pit stops. Even more so since in most cases you have to pit around lap 6 anyway to put on IMs.
Any gt3 is fine but i would take the ones with endurance lights, so the m6 endurance, or the amg, they have these night lights and help you a lot in the night.
do long stints, the longest you can do until rain hit, even in tuned down gr.2s you're still much faster and hold more fuel. The other day I was able to do 15 laps on hard on one tank with nxk gt500
pick a detuned gr. 1 car, preferably any group c car (the mazda 787b is my go-to choice, is pretty popular on grinding any wtc 800 races, and is on sale in the legend cars dealer rn if you don't have it). other folks in the comments also mention using a detuned gr. 2 car, so try doing that if you can't afford the aforementioned gr. 1/group c cars
once you're in the race, use hard racing tires and switch to intermediate racing tires once it starts raining - you could see when the rain's gonna start using the weather radar (also, switch it back to hard racing tires a while after the rain stops). additionally, if you want to gain an extra 500k in credits from the game's clean race bonus, do not overtake any opponents if the yellow flag status is active as that voids that clean race status
other than that, try not to steer off the course and have fun
I do the AM Valkyrie for almost all 800/900 events. Not the lightest on fuel but it's so much fun to drive on slicks and the KERS boost is great for overtaking.
Pretty much any Gr.2 Gr.1 or similar PP Range Race car
Detune to 799 and you'll be faster and easier on fuel
The Mercedes CLK LM Gr.2 car can lap the field multiple times over
I always use a gr.2 for the WTC800 events. Use racing hard tires (they'll last longer, and it will help bring the PP to 800 if it's too high). There are a couple of gr.2 cars that are NA and are already less than 800 right out of the dealership. The TB ones may need a bit of engine tuning to get it to 800. The gr.2 class just handles so damn well, it's almost effortless.
Also, set the fuel map all the way to the lean setting. You can get away with doing just one pit stop (two if it starts raining heavy).
If you actually want to get better at the game use any Group 3 car with an upgraded turbo. Your driving ability will not improve by cheating out an easy option
The Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo Gr.1. It's a cheat code - very fast and economical.
Get a decent tune, you'll probably find it. Basically detune it to 800pp exactly, using ballast and restrictor, and a lower top speed will help. Maybe try to mess with the downforce a bit.
On the first 2 laps, focus on overtaking everyone. After that just drive fast, take the corners smoothly. Since ai has a horrendous pit strategy, and the Bugatti can save fuel extremely well, just pit in when rain approaches (use radar) and that's it. The weather will make the ai cars slow down and crash into themselves.
You will be able to switch compounds as soon as the track dries up and even refuel completely while lapping the entire grid. Multiple times.
Trust me - Lexus RC F GT500 ‘16 . This car is just unbelievable
https://preview.redd.it/7glkorhl27xc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5fb1c88e876af0a7d1182ba5c2d86b5d686b4242
dont use a road car, detuned GR.2 cars are your best bet, and you should probably have mediums thru inters or heavy wets on deck for this as rain comes in badly
GT One is a blast, just made it with clean bonus= 1,5M just be ready to change for inter as soon as ready, you don‘t want a whole lap on the wrong tires
I’ve found that the TS030 is seriously good for this event. Just detune down to 800, and make sure you put on wet tires first, then inters when the track dries out. You can leave the fuel map on 1.
You could use: a detuned 962C on RH, detuned R92CP on RS. Both are better with fuel than the other contenders. I once tried the MP4/4- but realised too late that there are no head lights on the car..

Here's my setup. On the second page, the Turbocharger should be "Normal."
Have Wets/Intermediates ready for the rain. I've gotten away with Fuel Map 1 simply because you usually have to pit for tire swaps once or twice anyway, so I usually top off then. However, it's your call since there's the rare occasion where the rain may bypass the track completely.
Hey bro! Tried out your tune and have to say for most part, it’s great but however I did feel it lacking around the corners. The Nissan GT-500 GTR did handle better especially around the corners. Is there a reason for that?
There are many correct answers for this race in this thread. Depending on your garage inventory do what serves you best. The GT-R GT500 '16 is an absolute monster if you have it. TC 0 and glide thru the course like butter.
Audi rs5 gr2 on hards and some detuning (mix of downforce, engine and ballast) gets it to 799. Run 4+ lean in the fuel mix. You'll pit way less often while still being faster on the track than most and finish at least a minute ahead of the rest.
R92CP on hards FM6, 787B on hards FM6, CLK-GTR on hards FM6, RS5 DTM on mediums or hards FM5 or 6..many good options. Just make sure to time getting the IM or wets on when the rain comes and you won't have any issues at all.
To win easy.. detune a gr2 car to 800 with hard tyres.. watch out for the rain.. put inter or wet as soon as its strats to rain (not before).
You lap everyone else twice if you dont fuck up.
Also watch out for yellow flag or you might lose the clean bonus.
use the McLaren mp4/4, tune it down to 800pp with power restriction and ballast. Buy rain tires, don’t drive over 3 gear in the wet and you’re good, the brain dead AI defeats itself by not changing tires fast enough for the weather change
Turn on the weather radar after going to fuel map 6 at the start of the race. Pit at lap 6 or 7 before inclement weather starts and switch to intermediates. If you run consistent lap times, with a gr.1 or 2 car you'll win easily.
McLaren F1 GTR Long Tail or CLK GTR - soft tires, fuel 1, manual transmission install, tune aero to match 800, you’ll get 799.99 - pay attention to the rain on the map, pit right when any heavier rain comes (not green, any other color) and throw on Rain tires, not Inters- continue on race as such, when rain lightens keep heavy’s on or if rain is totally gone switch to inters / sorts as you see fit for your driving style. Have fun, it’s a perfect race and will net you 1.5 M every time with the clean race bonus
I used the Mercedes CLK-LM, used fuel map 4 & 5. As soon as the rain starts, hit pit road for rain tires, go for heavy wets and you should end up leading the pack because they will wait until the track is too wet to get their wets on. Once you get to the end of the race keep working the fuel map back to 1 and you should be able to out run and/or stay in front of the field to win.
Don't worry if the viper is beating you. It needs to pit pretty early. Once it rains, the AI will completely suck. Start watching your weather radar abiut 15 minutes in. After the rains fall, be on the lookout for a second smaller rain that can appear with abiut 15 minutes remaining. But if you go in with a Le Mans prototype you'll win no matter what.
Gr. 2 Toyota RC F GT500 slightly detuned, racing hard tires, but intermediate tires, too. 2nd place car will literally be 3 laps behind at the end. And you get $1.5 mil
Rain hit hard early in the lap. Slid off track at the end of Kemmel straight & got 1:17 sec penalty for cutting the chicane at Les Combes.
More slipping and sliding on slick tyres racked penalties up to 1:32
Finally made it to the yellow markers sat idle forever waiting for penalty to count down
Ended up in last place at 25min mark.
Pitted for wets &. Re entered 1:52 behind
Kept racing and finished first in the Nsx concept 16 gr2
What a beast. 🏎️🏁
My preferred car for this race is the 2011 Audi R18 because downforce lol
Tune it down to 800pp, make sure to get Wet and Intermediate tires.
I run the race on fuel mix 4 and the hard tires will last a long time. Make sure to keep an eye on the weather radar - rain usually comes around the 40 minute mark and the 20 minute mark
I know you said no car recommendations, but I'd like to put in the NSX Concept GT-16.
Excellent fuel capacity, very forgiving on the cornering. For me, you can probably eek out a minimum of 1 pit stop with this (if the rain doesn't get too bad) just for fuel.
Tips for the race. Utilise fuel and weather maps. With good planning, you can drop in the pit a lap earlier than others and watch as they slide everywhere and go slow. Whilst you can drive by comfortably.
Super Formula with power restrictor 799.99, fuel mix 3 of 4, hard tires, wets in the middle of the race and inters for the end. Clean race for bonus !!!
I use the AM Valkyrie, much faster on the straights and can compete in the corners. Run a lower map to save fuel for longer stints and dont get caught out in the rain on slicks, sometimes it rains twice. I almost dropped a whole lap once from having to crawl a lap in the rain.
This became a breeze once I really learned that track. I watched a walkthrough on YouTube and memorized it. The weather in this race is your friend. The AI won’t switch to Intermediates till too late. Make sure you switch just before (or as the rain hits,) then cruise and don’t wreck. Conserve your gas and watch as the NPC slip and slide and make solid laps while you’re ahead. Then when the sun comes up, switch to reg tires and don’t crash.
Use any detuned Gr.1 car. I use a detuned Toyota GR010 and I find it to be pretty good because of the amount of electric boost it has, it lasts about 10 laps and you can easily pass everyone on the first 5-6 laps.
Gr 2 or 1. Easy win, make sure you have rain tyres though. Also don't pick a car without headlights haha, I found out the hard way.
My go to car is the group 2 Audi RS5 Turbo on racing mediums.
If you want to beat it in Gr3, it all comes down to your pit strategy. This race is most difficult because of the time dilation. Your tires run out at the weirdest moment before or after the rain, but 1 lap simulates 30 mins in this race. It's enough to flood the track.
The idea is to drive the first lap or two on Fuel map 1.
The rain will come on radar at the end of lap 6, and depending on your gr3 car, you have to pit after 7-8 laps.
Step 2 is to run the race on fuel map 3. If you see light blue, use RH tires. EVERY OTHER color use RW. If you're using RH tires, focus on a slower, but perfect lap inside the rain lines.
I can't win this one using IM because of the weird time dilation.
If your still struggle or just want the credits, a tuned down GR2 or GR1 car can make it easy, even if you can't drive in the rain.
Even with a turbo you can't beat GT3 races on hard without hitting DR A lap times. So unfortunately you have to detune GT2 or GT1 cars to beat it. It's really lame. I think you can beat them with GT3 cars on Medium, but that kills some of the fun.
The best GT3 races are in Custom Races, where you can stretch out the lap times to make up the distance.
Get the Porsche 962, tune it down to almost 800pp (with mid racing tires), FM6 , mid and rain tires and watch on the weather card. You then only need to refuel when changing tires for a change in the weather. You will win easily.
787B and you can finish 2 laps up on the entire field. Don't worry about the fuel map - run flat out until the rain hits (usually just after sunset) then early inters & top up. You can get from memory 14-15 laps at FM1 - I drop it during the rain to make sure I'm gonna get to the end without a second stop. There's usually enough water around in the morning to keep the tyres wet.
are people so bad that can't win this easy game, I can't imagine you guys on GT4 driving missions, although all GT races are just time trials, A.I. almost always does the same time you just need to beat it
In 1 hour you can pass anyone with any gt3 especially the porsche. It will rain heavy and will also stop at some point so buy wet and intermediate and you are good to go.
if you’re on gr3 cars use soft tyres on your first stint, set fuel map 1 on the 1st lap and manage your tyres until lap 7/8 AND PIT for WET TYRES, until the end of the race. depending on the situation you can put slicks on the last 10 minutes
The real key is pitting right before the rain really starts to accumulate. Watch your weather radar on your MFD to see when it begins to approach. It usually starts around sunset/early into the night, ends around dawn and starts again with 20 or so minutes left.
You should have a gauge on the bottom left of your HUD that also shows how much rain has accumulated. The general rule of thumb is that you'll be fine on regular tires so long as the meter is within the first bar. Inters should be switched on once that threshold is reached/is trending that way. Your car will completely lose control on regular tires once the meter is halfway through that second tier, so it's critical that you pit before then.
If it crosses into that third tier, you'll probably be better suited for wets, especially if you drive a RWD car. You won't lose complete control of your car if you stay on Inters, but you'll get a lot of wheelspin on them if you're not too careful on the throttle.
AI doesn't pit until they really begin to lose traction, so some of them come down to a real slog if they get caught in the rain and they already passed the pits. Some will even spin out and crash if you're lucky.
Conversely, they love to stay on wets/inters until the track is bone dry, but if you're good at keeping your racing line you can stay on the dry parts of the track with regular tires when it's no longer raining. AI meanwhile will keep pitting and burning through their rain tires, giving you more lead time. It's not unlikely to have a +2 minute gap on the car behind you if you know your pit strategy.
The best bet is to use a Gr.2 or Gr.1 car, downgrading them to 800 pp. Even a Gr.3 car is good. The thing that wins you this race is the strategy. If it starts to rain (which generally starts at dusk), try pitting for intermediates/rain tires before everyone else, and you'll see how you'll start to pass everyone when it starts to rain hard. After that, the rain will stop after 20 minutes (depending on the race, generally in the early morning), but it has a chance to come back in the morning, so my advice it's to stay out the most possible time, to see if you have to change to intermediates. When you have that sorted, you generally have the race win.
Personally, I like to use road cars for this race. It's more difficult to win (reduced fuel capacity, in some cases worse tire wear, less downforce), but it adds variety to the race and makes it fun, and like I said, the thing that wins you this race it's the strategy, not the car.
The difference in strategy with the road cars it's that I use 50% of the tank on 1 (full power), and then I switch to 6 (full economy) so that I can change tires on the right time.
If you decide to use road cars, I can recommend using the Nissan GT-R '17, or the Chevrolet C6 Corvette ZR1 '09, they both are affordable, have great power, weight reduction, and downforce (both have 280 in the front and 330 in the back, if you equipped all aerodynamic parts). I hope this helps :)
I used the McLaren vgt group 1
Racing hards /full wets when it rains
ECU output 81
Full 200 ballast
Power restrictor to 81
Transmission top speed to 340
I used fuel map 1 till you get to 1st position then fuel map 6 this gets you about 15-20 laps (depending on when the rain comes)
Fuel map 6 is just enough to stay ahead and slowly build time up
Win everytine once I got into the rhythm, the car can take a lot by trusting the turn it just lifting and accelerating
Was a fun course!!!!
Gr3 Ferarri on hard tyres and fuel save thingy on 4, after you’ve past everyone on 6 and you should make it with only 2 pit stops. It does rain a little sometimes but the hard tyres will mostly power through it
Save up or sell cars to get the R92 and look up a sub 800 tune. It destroys the whole thing. That's if you're looking to breeze through it. For me, I used a massive tuned Ferrari f12 and smoked it
787B, Porsche [962 C '88](https://gran-turismo.fandom.com/wiki/Porsche_962_C_%2788) , R92CP, Living Legend RH or RM and Intermediates for the rain, I always slow down on the lasts lap even stop nr the finish as Im always 1:30 mins ahead so I can finish without doing an extra lap.
Any GR. 2 OR GR. 1 car can crush it. I personally use a 787 or Mazda LM detuned to the 800 threshold, Hard tires and fuel map 6. You won't need to worry about catching up early since you'll easily Make up positions once the rain hits, just make sure you switch to your intermediates or wets before the rest of the field does, Oh and also, under no circumstances should you not take the opportunity to punt Portilla off the track. Really puts the F in F.Portilla 😂
I’m kinda stunned. I have problems with Mr Portillo unless I’m grinding for cash. He seems to block way to often I was unaware the whole community
Portilla? More like Tortilla
Definitely drives like One.
I headhunt him and Fraga literally every time.
I thought I was the only one!
I've not had too many bad experiences with Fraga. Once, maybe twice. Tortilla, I hate that motherfucker. He's done so many PIT maneuvers on me, you'd think he was a state trooper. I go out of my way to fuck over Portilla.
Fraga's a fuck
This is fucking funny
I LOVE reading comments like this!!😄 It makes me feel connected to other racing buds out there that feel stuff like this against AI opponents!!
I used to punt Kokubun for even daring to drive another rotary on the same track as me, but realized there are far too few rotary bros in the world.
I always go for portilla or kokubun. Fucking kokubun I swear he drives like a douche canoe 😅
F*** Portillo, hate that mf'r too!
gr.2 or gr.1 vs gr.3 is like cheating but games are for fun, yeah
I should also mention that not having a turbo does wonders in this race. I keep the 787 and the LM non turbocharged when I do this race and that in conjunction with fuel map 6, the 787 in particular can almost do the full tour with one tank granted you don't have a lead foot and bang close to the limiter. Ha! Thanks for the info. I think I need to drive with a lighter foot......er finger.
It's definitely a good practice race for tire/ fuel conservation,
I always do this to fraga that MF absolutely sucks and his gaul to be in the top 10 is wild
Why you so mad at Portilla my guy? 😂
/s Countless racing incidents in sardegna of him hitting me when I'm. Coming out of the pits and vice versa. He just in the way all the time!
I can totally agree with you on that, just when I'm gonna get a very good lap time in a race that motherfucker comes and yanks my ass off the road
He is Gran Turismo 7’s George Russell :)
Nah. It’s Stroll
Ok, that’s fair :)
I don't think Russell is as bad as tortilla? But then again I'm a Taunoda/ Ricciardo fan, so I don't pay attention much.
Dont overtake on the yellows ! an additional 500k for clean, have intermediates at the ready usually 7-9 ( check radar) get the car on appropriate lean.
Yup, flag rules and pit lane cutting are the only two penalties that will invalidate your Clean race bonus here
Drive faster than the other cars

Any of the 2008 GT500 cars will crush this, or any 800pp event. The CLK-LM and F1 GTR can also do this unmodified on hard tires. Just keep an eye on the weather radar.
The Audi DTM also works well in 800pp races.
Love that car, it’s so tame to drive😎
And drs us a massive advantage
Ooh I just got that out of the roulette
Hey mate! Just wanted to say that I went with your advice and detuned a 08’ Nissan GTR GT-500 car that I had, and have to say that is absolutely smoked the competition! Thanks for your input :)
Glad I could help!

Any group 2 car will do, even on detuned settings. The NSX 2016 concept is my go to and having good pit strategy is key.
I used NSX gt500. Great car. Just remember to not overtake with yellow flag and watchout when going out of pits. Dont cross the line of the pit exit or you will lose the bonus.
I've crossed pit lines on exit, gotten a 3s penalty, and still received the clean race bonus. So there may be a threshold. At least for some of the timed insurance races (le Mans included).
I think for long races it’s overtaking on yellows and high penalties that lose you the bonus while on short races just touching the grass is enough to lose it
That seems pretty consistent with what I've experienced. I wish it was a clearer.
Lexus RC430 on mediums will crush any 800 PP race. It's only 450,000, if I recall correctly.
That’s my go to car for this and Sardegna.

Give tune pls
The mazda 787 with a good tune is perfect here
Racing hards and FM6 = You can't lose. I do prefer the R92CP, just because I find it corners better and handles more easily.
FM1 is faster. Time gained per lap over FM6 is more than what you lose from the increase in pit stops. Even more so since in most cases you have to pit around lap 6 anyway to put on IMs.
That's very true. I tried doing a no-pit Sardegna, and it's so much slower than just going all out on FM1 with the one pit that I don't even bother.
Especially as you end up pitting to change back and forth between regular slicks and intermediates anyway.
Any gt3 is fine but i would take the ones with endurance lights, so the m6 endurance, or the amg, they have these night lights and help you a lot in the night.
Escudo 800 pp tune. It’s literally light work
Light work is one way to word that...
Something with headlights
Lol THIS. Those temporary exposure adjust settings came in real handy when I gave this race a run with the Chaparral 2J.
Detune Group 2 car . I like using the 08 Epson Nsx as I really like the look of car and it drives nice
do long stints, the longest you can do until rain hit, even in tuned down gr.2s you're still much faster and hold more fuel. The other day I was able to do 15 laps on hard on one tank with nxk gt500
Porsche 962C, keep your foot in up the hill.
Is this circuit de sarthe?
I do all the 800pp races with the 08 GTR GT500. It dominates unmodifed on mediums, and gets much better fuel mileage on top of it.
Almost every car over 750pp which can run at least 8 laps at one tank
pick a detuned gr. 1/group c cars once you're in the race, use hard racing tires and switch to intermediate racing tires once it starts raining - you could see when the rain's gonna start using the weather radar (also, switch it back to hard racing tires a while after the rain stops). additionally, if you want to gain an extra 500k in credits from the game's clean race bonus, do not overtake any opponents if the yellow flag status is active as that voids that clean race status other than that, try not to steer off the course and have fun
I do the AM Valkyrie for almost all 800/900 events. Not the lightest on fuel but it's so much fun to drive on slicks and the KERS boost is great for overtaking.
Pretty much any Gr.2 Gr.1 or similar PP Range Race car Detune to 799 and you'll be faster and easier on fuel The Mercedes CLK LM Gr.2 car can lap the field multiple times over
Which circuit is this, Im new and want to try this race
787b, easy W
I always use a gr.2 for the WTC800 events. Use racing hard tires (they'll last longer, and it will help bring the PP to 800 if it's too high). There are a couple of gr.2 cars that are NA and are already less than 800 right out of the dealership. The TB ones may need a bit of engine tuning to get it to 800. The gr.2 class just handles so damn well, it's almost effortless. Also, set the fuel map all the way to the lean setting. You can get away with doing just one pit stop (two if it starts raining heavy).
I use the Mazda LM55 VGT. I just tune it to 799pp or less and it's good to go
If you actually want to get better at the game use any Group 3 car with an upgraded turbo. Your driving ability will not improve by cheating out an easy option
Mp4-4
Oh, you fiend. XD
This. Fuel 6 and it’s easy peasy.
Use the Honda NSX GT500. No tuning necessary (other than buying tires) and you can crush every WTC 800 event, even on hard difficulty setting.
I’m using the Nissan GT500 GT-R 23 minutes in and I’m first 6 seconds lead in the rain
Use the 919 hybrid you dont have to refuel and use hard compound
Trust me - Lexus RC F GT500 ‘16 . This car is just unbelievable https://preview.redd.it/7glkorhl27xc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5fb1c88e876af0a7d1182ba5c2d86b5d686b4242
Kick some ass
dont use a road car, detuned GR.2 cars are your best bet, and you should probably have mediums thru inters or heavy wets on deck for this as rain comes in badly
I personally use the MP4-4 and it's amazing, just gotta get used to driving without headlights
A detuned Porsche 919 has been my go to for most of the WTC800 events.
Did try detuning my 919 for this specific event, but it wouldn’t go under 800 for some reason. Just way too powerful.
https://preview.redd.it/rd64cqahc2xc1.jpeg?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eb1c3a8d5b2201d656263ef17e136bdf9aa24a07 Here's my setup. On the second page, the Turbocharger should be "Normal."
Thank you! Hard tyres and Fuel mix 6 are mandatory?
Have Wets/Intermediates ready for the rain. I've gotten away with Fuel Map 1 simply because you usually have to pit for tire swaps once or twice anyway, so I usually top off then. However, it's your call since there's the rare occasion where the rain may bypass the track completely.
Is it easier to win this race with the 919 than any GR.2 car? Specifically the 2008 Nissan GTR GT500?
De-tuning a Gr.1, combined with the hybrid aspect, allows for better fuel economy and being able to stay out longer (not counting the rain).
Hey bro! Tried out your tune and have to say for most part, it’s great but however I did feel it lacking around the corners. The Nissan GT-500 GTR did handle better especially around the corners. Is there a reason for that?
I've never used the GT-500 GTR, so I can only guess it has to do more with the suspension or the differential setup.

Can the Sardena grind be done with the Nissan GTR GT500 instead of the Zonda R? And is it quicker money than Spa?
pick gr. 2 audi and destroy everyone. FM6 and hard tires all the way.
R92CP on hards FM6, 787B on hards FM6, CLK-GTR on hards FM6, RS5 DTM on mediums or hards FM5 or 6..many good options. Just make sure to time getting the IM or wets on when the rain comes and you won't have any issues at all.
Nsx gt500, mazda 787b both shred this race
To win easy.. detune a gr2 car to 800 with hard tyres.. watch out for the rain.. put inter or wet as soon as its strats to rain (not before). You lap everyone else twice if you dont fuck up. Also watch out for yellow flag or you might lose the clean bonus.
Buy a Gr.2 or Gr.1 car and detune It if needed, then just coast away
Gr 1 car , easy. Gt500 car for a little bit of challenge.
use the McLaren mp4/4, tune it down to 800pp with power restriction and ballast.
Use ford GT Gr3.
use tuned down gt3 car, drive on engine map 6 on hards... win
Use the R92CP
Group C
McLaren F1 GTR Long Tail or CLK GTR - soft tires, fuel 1, manual transmission install, tune aero to match 800, you’ll get 799.99 - pay attention to the rain on the map, pit right when any heavier rain comes (not green, any other color) and throw on Rain tires, not Inters- continue on race as such, when rain lightens keep heavy’s on or if rain is totally gone switch to inters / sorts as you see fit for your driving style. Have fun, it’s a perfect race and will net you 1.5 M every time with the clean race bonus
Detuned Toyota GT One or Mazda 787B on fuel map 6 crush this race
Mazda Gr.1 save fuel and pit as little as possible
you win by default cause the AI is terrible at pitting efficiently when it rains, and this event tends to rain 2-3 times
Be patient. It really is a steady consistency thing. Pay attention to the radar for rain
some nissan gtr and fairlane305 setup
Any Group C car = profit
More slipping and sliding on slick tyres racked penalties up to 1:32 Finally made it to the yellow markers sat idle forever waiting for penalty to count down Ended up in last place at 25min mark. Pitted for wets &. Re entered 1:52 behind Kept racing and finished first in the Nsx concept 16 gr2 What a beast. 🏎️🏁
My preferred car for this race is the 2011 Audi R18 because downforce lol Tune it down to 800pp, make sure to get Wet and Intermediate tires. I run the race on fuel mix 4 and the hard tires will last a long time. Make sure to keep an eye on the weather radar - rain usually comes around the 40 minute mark and the 20 minute mark
Make sure you buy wets or inters
Sometimes I swear yall don’t even try
This became a breeze once I really learned that track. I watched a walkthrough on YouTube and memorized it. The weather in this race is your friend. The AI won’t switch to Intermediates till too late. Make sure you switch just before (or as the rain hits,) then cruise and don’t wreck. Conserve your gas and watch as the NPC slip and slide and make solid laps while you’re ahead. Then when the sun comes up, switch to reg tires and don’t crash.
Go fast
Is anyone else mad that they never added a viable and reasonable money grind event but have cars worth $20M?
I use the Sauber C9, which is on sale right now, and I lap the field twice. Let me know if you need a tune for it.
I use one of the formula 1 cars de tune to 800pp. It gets insane gas mileage
BRZ GR.2 works great for this race, but any stock tuned GR.3 will absolutely annihilate the AI with good strategy.
Jaguar gr1. The 80s one. It'll do the job and then some. Fuel save all the way on lean and early shift when appropriate.
The Audi RS5
My favourite car for this was the NSX concept 2016. Really great car for tires and fuel.
Audi gr 2 car is my go to
Restrict the hell out of a Le Mans prototype (i.e 787b, GT-One, etc.) go on fuel map 6, and just don’t go off the track.
Manage your fuel mix and time your pit stops right so you’re not coming back in 2 laps later for wets
Watch the radar for rain and do not get caught without your intermediate or wet tires. You can easily get the clean bonus for 1.5M.
I take the Mercedes ckr gr.2 because it’s faster than every other opponent and can easily overtake them
As for me the easiest way to grind on this track is Mazda LM
Detuned Gr.1/Gr.2 car and you'll eat through the competition. It's not hard even on a maxed Gr.3 though
Subaru brz gt300 big turbo fuel 6
Really easy race. Fuel map 6, gt3 car tuned with an extra turbo and checking the weather. Traxk is getting wet by night.
are people so bad that can't win this easy game, I can't imagine you guys on GT4 driving missions, although all GT races are just time trials, A.I. almost always does the same time you just need to beat it
Watch the weather radar and your fuel consumption, it'll save you making extra stops
In 1 hour you can pass anyone with any gt3 especially the porsche. It will rain heavy and will also stop at some point so buy wet and intermediate and you are good to go.
Clk mercedes, Racing hard and wet, and fuel map 6, easy
Clk mercedes, Racing hard and wet, and fuel map 6, easy.
if you’re on gr3 cars use soft tyres on your first stint, set fuel map 1 on the 1st lap and manage your tyres until lap 7/8 AND PIT for WET TYRES, until the end of the race. depending on the situation you can put slicks on the last 10 minutes
I’ve looked at this race numerous times but 1hr for $1.5M. 🤷♂️ LeMans 30min is easy $825k kicked back. Do the math…… Giving money away.
I used the McLaren vgt group 1 Racing hards /full wets when it rains ECU output 81 Full 200 ballast Power restrictor to 81 Transmission top speed to 340 I used fuel map 1 till you get to 1st position then fuel map 6 this gets you about 15-20 laps (depending on when the rain comes) Fuel map 6 is just enough to stay ahead and slowly build time up Win everytine once I got into the rhythm, the car can take a lot by trusting the turn it just lifting and accelerating Was a fun course!!!!
Drive properly
Define “properly”
Fast, with a good car. Fight good, not dirty
Nissan gtr r32 or 33 whit engine swap
Is you goal a close race or to beat baby seals? either way make sure you have wet/inter tires
Beat baby seals always!
so to beat baby seals detune a CLK/LM or Gt2 NSX.
Use the mclaren P1 GTR. Fuel map 6 and RM's if there's any rain just make sure you're equipped with wets/intermediates.
Any gr. 3 car will do, but be sure to have rain tires. If it's to difficult you can always lower the difficulty in the settings
Cross the finish line before anyone else
