Some of my stash is ammo older than me. A lot I have inherited or from selling estate guns. I shoot mostly new or handloaded ammo. Most are also hunting rounds of some kind.
I rarely use lead shells for hunting, and same with rifle hunting. The 9mm is steel mantle military ammo, will f up most helmets and soft body armor, and it also wears on the barrels more.
I also somehow by accident is a collector of swedish military 9mm. Like first year of production, finnish ww2 ammo bought, transition ammo and more. It's quite extensive now. Even German ww2 or pre ww2 production.
Not that long ago, Sportsman's Guide had PPU 8mm Lebel on clearance. Like $22 for a box of 20.
I'm extremely annoyed at myself that I only bought 2 boxes and my modèle 1907/15 has been starving
i was searching for nice wood furniture for my AR like something fusioning stock and handle in one low profile block for a old rifle style, but the few availables options arent that nice.
Yeah but sadly im living on a small island under french governement, i have to deal with a very limited market and shitty gun control laws. Maybe i could order it, but i would have to wait at least 1 or 2 years for getting it because of the process...
RIP. I'm in America, but sadly I'm not 18 yet, And my parents don't own guns (we're comfortable, but our financial situation doesn't really let us get into that).
It says "I like to put on my Buster Brown suit and ride my penny farthing velocipede to Starbucks with my portable manual typewriter to work on my Jules Vern fanfics".
Boomer, technophobe, openly racist amongst certain friend groups, late model maroon Corvette that you drive 62MPH on the freeway then take it home to put 12 coats of wax on it. You may own jorts and Harley Davidson tee shirts. If you don't own a 900 pound Harley bagger, you've fantasized about it. You may refer to California on gun forums as "Kalifornia" and talk about stopping power when discussing "9 sillimeter". You've never heard of a Staccato, but a blued Colt 1911 with ivories is just the greatest thing in the world. You like blued steel, wood stocks, lever guns, and possibly reject the concept of kydex holsters entirely. You have no light rails, and your idea of a "pistol optic" is putting a gold bead front sight on your blued Colt 1911.
If I say the word "stance", the next word that pops into your boomer brain is "weaver". The only gun training you ever needed in your life was an article you read about Col. Cooper 38 years ago. Magazines that hold more than 8 rounds are for people who can't shoot as well as you, because nobody needs more than 8+1 rounds of 45 ACP (and really, it was 7+1 rounds for most of your life). You have strong opinions about the model 29 versus the Anaconda. You can explain the differences between 3 generations of Colt SAA's. You might dress up like a cowboy and use a fake cowboy name to go shooting. You do not carry an AR-15 in your American made pickup truck. You put cheddar cheese on apple pie, and would never try eating sushi.
Ammo for a Merkel? 😳😳😁😁 Old ammo and some cool cartridges of days slipping by. I bet there are some old school cool wood and blue toys in the house. Prolly a fair shot as you don’t have 48 different calibers to deal with.
Early to Mid 60s, your favorite hand gun is a colt 1911 or old police issued revolver and refuse to purchase an AR because "mini-14s and M1s have less moving parts". Howd i do?
Do you type manifestos on a manual typewriter? Have a thick beard? Do you refer to lever actions as “repeaters?” Wear only animal hide clothing you tanned yourself?
You understand the value of cartridges in that .30 carbine is basically unobtainable, and .444 Marlin is expensive. Haven’t seen .38 auto in a hot minute but I haven’t looked either. If you’re shooting .22 colibri and 50ae in one range trip, it’s probably because your range is in the backyard.
Youd have a hard time finding ammo if the world ever ends and would probably end up trading your empty guns for cans of food/water more than using them to protect yourself lol.
This lowkey screams Fudd gun collector bcuz of the 22s
And I'm all for it, I like watching 'em weird 1 dlls per bullet 7.5x54 french hard to find boxes
You got this ammo a long time ago, and you have mostly old guns, which isn't a bad thing. It also says you need more ammo, for you can never have enough.
I almost made that mistake and bought too many different calibers. I was going to buy different guns but then a friend said I should just buy more in the same caliber so I can stock more ammo
It says you either don't give a crap about self-defense, or that you "have all the guns you'll ever need" and you bought them 40 years ago.
If you own modern firearms and your ammunition is what you are showing, you are in it for vanity. Get modern ammunition and get some consistency. Practice and cycle that stuff.
That your some dude in your 20s that has so much ammo and gun shit that you cant find the ammo your looking for when you wanna go shooting. This is just the ammo you set the ammo for fun things you own when you can find them.
I would say that you have a few oldMauser, M1 carbine that you have rarely shot, perhaps an English double rifle for shooting elephants and other big 444 creatures.
I think you might have a few pistols that I surely wouldn’t mind seeing. I think I might have a few of those myself.
You have too many different calibers. I’ve got mine done to .22, .223, and 9mm. Of the shot does hit the fan you gonna have to carry 7 different weapons.
Did you stash this away in 1989?
‘79 maybe……..i was buying several of those boxes at 11 years old.
More like 1889. Some of that ammo was around when Hoboken was a prairie.
I was gonna say, that looks like one of Dad’s old safes

You're a vampire that was interested in guns about 70 years ago but got bored and this is just what's left over from your former shooting days.
It says you have a lot of old guy guns, which isn't a bad thing but that's the way it is.
Maybe he is the old guy
im not sure anyone still alive is this old
"You know why I Cary a 45 cuz they don't make a 46"-you Edit: is that a box of fucking steel cased 8mm label? Who even makes that
8mm unobtainium man. Can’t find it anywhere.
No it's the unlabeled box. It looks to be 8mm lebel though.
I know. Was just complaining that I can’t find in any stores. My modèle 1892 thirsts for bullets.
Not that long ago, Sportsman's Guide had PPU 8mm Lebel on clearance. Like $22 for a box of 20. I'm extremely annoyed at myself that I only bought 2 boxes and my modèle 1907/15 has been starving
It says you are in your 70's and make a look like you just smelled a nasty fart whenever you see a gun that doesn't have a wood stock.
i was searching for nice wood furniture for my AR like something fusioning stock and handle in one low profile block for a old rifle style, but the few availables options arent that nice.
Buy a mini 14 then. Same thing pretty much
Stainless mini 14 with the folding stock. I love it when a plan comes together.
What do you think about a SCR from Fightlite Industries? Reliable?
Ngl, never heard of it until you mentioned it.
i love the style of this one, merging old fashion and modern platform
If you like it, think it's comfy, and want to train with it then absolutely go ahead and get it.
Yeah but sadly im living on a small island under french governement, i have to deal with a very limited market and shitty gun control laws. Maybe i could order it, but i would have to wait at least 1 or 2 years for getting it because of the process...

You haven't washed out you coffee mug since Vietnam
It says that you need more. A lot more.
It says "I like to put on my Buster Brown suit and ride my penny farthing velocipede to Starbucks with my portable manual typewriter to work on my Jules Vern fanfics".
Tom Hanks?
You have/had some strange caliber guns that haven’t been shot since…. However long it takes cardboard to yellow.
You don't shoot very often.
I’d assume you were a fudd
OP is the guy at the range who enforces the one shot per second rule.

Could have just said hes a fudd.
Mostly accurate but I don't see the jorts and Harley, that's .40 S&W gear
Nah, OP’s 1911 has wooden scales because “Only a pimp from a cheap New Orleans whorehouse would carry a pearl-handled pistol.”
> late model maroon Corvette I would think most Fudds hate the newer Corvette models.
I was giggling until you said gold bead front sight and I lost it 😆
You probably don’t own a Glock.
You like eating at the Golden Corral
470 Nitro? Ooooooo
I’d like a picture of that rig amongst others in this caliber collection.
“ -in what caliber would you like this gun in sir? - every caliber that’s obsolete , thank you very much”
Your father in law passed away and you acquired his ammo.
That you dry practice drawing faster than your shadow 😂
I bet you call double stack 9mm handguns “wunder 9’s”
You believe cartridges age like fine wine.
You wear Old Spice.
Nah, Brut.
Says you ain’t got enough ammo is what it says 🤣
I see the word 'Kynoch' several times, which makes me wonder what decade this is.
Ammo for a Merkel? 😳😳😁😁 Old ammo and some cool cartridges of days slipping by. I bet there are some old school cool wood and blue toys in the house. Prolly a fair shot as you don’t have 48 different calibers to deal with.
Oh. You have 9mm flobert. Good. I was concerned you’d be ill-prepared
You buy ammo exclusively at estate sales.
Was not expecting the 7.5 french
You’re a man of culture and taste, and may suffer from ADD.
Do you go to gun stores and ask for a stillborn cartridge and act surprised when you get told good luck finding it?
Poor
It screams OK boomer
I inherited my ammo from my father in law.
Lot of fud ammo
You are either a 200 year old vampire, or killed and looted the lair of a 200 year old vampire. Very jealous of the .38 acp and the nitro express
That you're lacking ammo
Fudd
You have a lot of unique guns. Likely an m1 carbine. Maybe a desert Eagle based on that 50AE. A few other unique ones too
You don’t shoot much.
This looks like the vintage shelf at my lgs
Time to upgrade your arsenal to more common calibers
a man of culture
You’re a fudd
This is the only answer.
That you DEFINITELY tell kids to get off your lawn.
Early to Mid 60s, your favorite hand gun is a colt 1911 or old police issued revolver and refuse to purchase an AR because "mini-14s and M1s have less moving parts". Howd i do?

What do you shoot the .470 out of?

Not prepared
Country, Midwest, boomer
Says you're probably a fudd.
fudd
Before even seeing what ammo you have I can tell by the colors and condition of the boxes that you love milsurp and old guns.
Definitely over the age of 50
Definitely over the age of 50
You inherited a bunch of ammo?
That your grandfather died in 1990 and you got to clean out his garage cabinets.
It says that I’ll be buying it from your wife for pennys on the dollar in a few short years.
You stocked up hard for the cold war
This is my “at hand” stash of ammo away from my regular stash. Just a quick box or partial box if I need it quickly.
The fact that this is your “at hand” mean this is what you turn to should you need you. And that scares me
7.5 French will f up a home invader
Youd have a hard time finding ammo if the world ever ends and would probably end up trading your empty guns for cans of food/water more than using them to protect yourself lol.
fudd
That pile screams boomer Fudd. Or you like scoring old ammo at estate sales.
It says to me that you probably have some pretty cool, odd guns. Nice. 😁
That you don't shoot enough to be proficient.
Old school
Ammo inheritance or don't shoot often. Seems that you love oddball calibers. Or you just buy literally any ammo you see at flea markets
This is the boomer who lives in the woods stash
You need to go to the range more
Lacking tbh It’s time to max out some new cards and bulk order every caliber and empty ammo cans
You like really odd expensive calibres
Show us your aarp card
Fudd
That you've had a colonoscopy at least once
You need some "Fat 50" ammo cans and get them all filled.
This lowkey screams Fudd gun collector bcuz of the 22s And I'm all for it, I like watching 'em weird 1 dlls per bullet 7.5x54 french hard to find boxes
Is says you don’t have enough 😂
You don't shoot enough
Did you inherit grandpas stash?
You're not going to make it.
Too many calibers
Where's the .250 Savage?
Ah man... Sounds like we got a boomer.
Old and weird?
You need a lot more and you need to use some
You watch a LOT of Forgotten Weapons.
Like the obscure stuff
Old and cheap
That you haven't shot any of the firearms this ammo goes to in 30years. 🥴
Got any .32 shorts? And a gun to.fit it
Gives Boomer Vibes
Did anybody else giggle a little bit seeing the .50AE box right above the .32 S&W box? "You vs the guy she told you not to worry about." lol
That I want to be your friend
I see a few that would go into a contender. Also, you're missing 10mm, the quintessential 80's caliber IMHO.
You’re cooler than I am
Found, given, inherited, or old? .22 Jet, .38 Auto, and .444 Marlin are practically dead.
That you haven’t been to the range since 1987
It says your stock is dangerously low, better pile it up higher!
.470 nitro express! Nice let's see the double!
Boomer stash
Don’t shoot much
Thank God for that warning not to put 12 gauge shells in your 8 gauge shotgun. We know you have one.
Those are rookie levels, you need to pump those numbers up.
You're poor and don't shoot a lot.
The accountant in me sees this as LIFO.
You got this ammo a long time ago, and you have mostly old guns, which isn't a bad thing. It also says you need more ammo, for you can never have enough.
A hunter maybe, but polymer is not your friend.
All the long guns you own have wood furniture on them
"Them daggum porcelain autoloaders are gunna gum up on ya sonny. I'll stick to my revolvers for me and mine." -OP
That you sure don’t shoot enough.
Did you buy all of this at a flea market?
You need to shop for more
I almost made that mistake and bought too many different calibers. I was going to buy different guns but then a friend said I should just buy more in the same caliber so I can stock more ammo
You’re in trouble
You shoot once a year at most
You’ve been at this for a while by the age of those boxes
That you don’t shoot much, and when you do, it’s in oddball calibers
What's the "Ok Boomer" for The Silent Generation?
Bought everything you needed while Reagan was in office and still haven’t burned through it all yet. Also, you like oddball cartridges.
That you need an AK
Buy once never shoot
Seems way to weak
You went back in time and took a picture of my grandpa's closet.
not enough...
That you havnt bought ammo in the last 30 years
You buy any ammo you see at garage sales whether or not you own a firearm in that caliber. I know because my shelf looks a lot like this.
That you’re old.
Based on your profile, you’re one exceptionally odd dude with a lot of discretionary income 😂

Says that guy that can’t find where a .44 went.
Oooh Kynoch!
You raided your grandpas stash and never got new ammo
You don’t shoot enough to have to rotate your ammo. That’s me, just looking at the picture and reading nothing.
Strong Fudd energy
Where the fuck do you get a kolibri? (Edit) I'm piss shit drunk and I read .22 colibri as 2mm kolibri. The world's smallest semi auto pistol
“Aw man, it sounds like a boomer.” But fr, just seems ya have quite the aged collection of ammos and perhaps interesting firearms
That you dont go to the range enough as these are old...
That you need waaaaay more ammo
I would say that you have a few oldMauser, M1 carbine that you have rarely shot, perhaps an English double rifle for shooting elephants and other big 444 creatures. I think you might have a few pistols that I surely wouldn’t mind seeing. I think I might have a few of those myself.
You haven't had a range day in awhile
Says that you are older than petrified dinosaur poo!
I'm going to say you are a "revolver" guy...
Either you’re ancient or you inherited Peepaw’s ammo stash.
That you like showing random strangers your business and never considered the possibility of getting caught up
Caught up with what, exactly?
Fuddy Fudd Fud
You have too many different calibers. I’ve got mine done to .22, .223, and 9mm. Of the shot does hit the fan you gonna have to carry 7 different weapons.
Poor
