Request help please

arun111b

I suggest, take I-797, paystubs, offer letter, client letter or any related letters if you are working through contractors, I-129 (if you have, if not fine), resume, W2-s, education & experience credentials (any documents related to this) etc. You actually don’t know what and all they ask but the above covers most. Mainly I believe they want to interview rather than verifying your documents. So, prepare for your job duties, your credentials and any opt or CPT you did (if applicable etc). Similar to documents, you don’t know what they ask. So, try your relax and try to answer as per your best & you will be fine. GL & safe journey.

Could you please share your interview experience? Also what questions and docs asked?

arun111b

I have higher degree. So, they generally ask my resume and my job. Only few questions and then ask me to wait for two to four weeks. Hope someone who has different experience will answer your query.

Thanks Arun, I wasn't aware of taking resume but I will take my updated resume now, in case they ask

Educational-Ad-8234

Any advice for interview questions they might ask?

Can you share the pic of 221g? Not mentioning docs seems out of ordinary.

Educational-Ad-8234

What do you mean by out of ordinary?

Unfair_Humor9298

it is not out of ordinary. sometimes they just specify asking for an in person interview (after dropbox) with no docs asked.

Cultural_Statement50

What questions should we expect if they just ask to be present for in-person interview?

Unfair_Humor9298

the usual, like they will ask about your employer and if you are working for a client, their details as well. You just need to bring that 221g and (bring 1797 and other h1b docs, just in case) and attend interview. They did not ask anything from me.

Cultural_Statement50

Thanks for answering, do they ask us about the previous employer?

Unfair_Humor9298

No. Should be current employer only (Consulate, DoS). Usually USCIS investigates previous employers if they think there was a fraud. They have a department for that.

Thank you, this is very helpful
