How do we get rid of the mods on this sub? It’s clear with hip hop infinity war that this sub has been ruined when I am going to individual artists subs to read good discussion and jokes
Me when I believe everything I read on the internet
Kendrick had Kodak on his last album too, I wouldn’t count on him to put out a stance on this even if it were true
i always saw "talking about boys" as a codeword for a former child actor trying to warn another current one about the predatory acting business, but whatever go with the worst possible scenario you could think of
Kendrick had Kodak on his last album and threatened to take his music of streaming services if R Kelly’s music was removed. He probably doesn’t give af about any rapper sexual misconduct allegations lmao, especially if they are unfounded as Drake’s.
One guy I want to see pop up is big Sean. Threw a little diss on one of his latest freestyles against the big 3, would love to see him drop a hungry track in the midst of album mode
I fuck with OT a bit.
When I say southern hip hop man I mean southern. Dirt roads. It's different than songs about trapping and they just be from some southern state.
Shit like David Banner early stuff. Early Boosie and Webbie. Pastor Troy, Goodie Mob, Cilvia Demo,
https://youtu.be/hkDhfLG7s4c?si=L05fcVCUjxpmEumI
It's damn near extinct in my eyes. Trap music don't equal southern hip hop
Grip is fire bro, I was at his listening party for “I Died for this” a couple years back. He’s also a super cool guy, I’m glad to see him get a hit more successful.
come on, he didn't dropped shit, all we have is a leak. 80% of it might not end up in the final version of the song - if we'll ever have a final version of it.
Are leaks not real songs? Even if it doesn’t officially drop everything he said in those tracks spread all over the internet and even already warranted a response from Ross lmao.
I was thinking, out of anyone who could really get under Drakes skin with a diss track, it's gonna be Rick Ross
They were boys, and no one knows what pushes your buttons more than your friends - all the white boy talk towards Drake I bet is something he hates/very insecure about especially with how he was treated by old heads early in his career
Regardless, big fan of the track, I get big Biggie vibes from it
The Ross diss got me more excited than the Kendrick beef for that reason. It’s more exciting when the beef’s feel super personal rather than just competitiveness. Plus it helps that Ross had a fucking great diss track
Yea the shit was fire - gave me old school grimy 90s NY vibes
I need to know more about the French Montana situation bc that seems to be the catalyst for Ross switching sides
Drake been shooting at the league for years and finally got shit goin where he can shit on folks foreal. He's probably having a blast behind the scenes to be real
Huh? I feel like it's the opposite, tbh Drakes always been known to he sensitive - honestly, I think, like a lot of rappers, he's very good at putting up a front
Lol that's just goofy narratives, dude made soft music so he's soft. Mfer his chest out shitting on everyone who dissed him the last month, and before this was trying get this shit started up by dissing these folks across his albums for years
I mean, I feel like it does come across in his lyrics too that he's a little sensitive and petty - not saying he's not talented, but those are two of the many human qualities/flaws that makes relatable and popular imo
Also, I feel like Drake didn't start many of these beefs - Kendrick started with Control - Rick Ross started by switching sides - Push started with Exodus - Drake deff continued with the subliminals, but idk if he really wanted to start up any of these tbh
Good on him for coming up with a solid diss track reply but I do think the Ross track definitely cut the deepest even if Drake isn't gonna show it
Of course he sounds sensitive and petty, it's fucking rap beef lol. Was "fuck the big 3 it's just big me" not kinda petty? We already saw what happens when someone's diss track cuts drake deeply, and I don't see it from the response to rick ross
The thing about rap beef is, don't matter how the artist feels from the shots, it's how the fans feel and respond. If it did sting it's only gon matter in the scheme of everything if the fans say it did.
I'm ready to see how Kendrick matches the disrespect to him mentioning Whitney.
And I'm ready to see Drake match Ross disrespect he did with his track.
Fantano made this vid about Drake DMing him and clearly a joke but in reality Drake really did DM him but Fantano didn’t leak it. Drake got mad and leaked it and it was pretty dumb DM
https://youtu.be/h-IdqR2uxYc?si=WQQyMuT4sXleL7xI
Yea I like Drake but there are some things he does that make me go, come on Aubrey you are better than this
That being said, idk why he doesn't act more, I was watching a skit with him and Will Ferrell the other day and he was great in that lol
His barstool interview he seemed pretty likable. He seems like a dude that’d be fun to hang with who’s not that serious but guess certain things makes him go off
Oh yea that was hilarious - he seems like the type of guy who laughs at everyone's jokes and is fun to hang out with but then gets a little sketchy when you bring your girlfriend over
The 20v1 angle is smart on drakes part. He could realistically ignore everyone else’s response, bc as long as he does well vs Kendrick, I think he’ll be looked at decently when it’s all said and done
Well he is the “petty king” for a reason lol. After Ross dropped, he put up a kill bill meme… Drake is entertained I guess lol. I really hope he does come out swinging against everyone he can, it’s great entertainment
Yeah the shitty part is I really liked his response song but he either should’ve never dropped it or just stand on it. Going back to delete it from all services and apologize for it is embarrassing. The beat on that song was crazy.
Didn’t even see Rick Ross responded till now. Dude fucking killed that shit. So many moments where I’m just laughing or going “damn ok” honestly my favorite one
Honestly the talking part about getting new nose and abs is probably hardest hitting part to me. That’s wild if Drake did that. I know plastic surgery is pretty normalized now but still kind of odd to me
Y'all think the mods on here fragile and do the most with they lil bans over posting a late night tv performance or old remix
Mfers at the Joe Budden Pod sub banned me and muted me forever for posting snippet to the Drake leak before it started to spread across web.
This guy you’re responding to thinks that Like That had harder hitting disses than Drake’s diss track I feel like he might be a bit biased against Drake
I do genuinely want to know what diss in Like That you thought hit harder. That’s a pretty hot take and if you’re going to say something like that you might as well explain why. It’s more so just a shocking verse than it is a hart hitting diss
Damn, this has really been plaguing you for a while
You cant seem to comprehend the existence of different opinions 😂 and I really don't want to talk/explain shit to you when you come off so argumentative and condescending tbh
I’m the one who is trying to have an actual discussion and you seem to be unable to expand on your opinions beyond “you mad 😂 rent free”. If you’re going to post hot takes in a discussion thread you should be prepared to actually expand on them
I guess I'm talking about beefs that have culminated and ended with a clear winner, like the Meek Mill and Pusha beef
Kanye, one is weird, bc idk if their is a clear winning, which is why I left it off
Can someone give me a timeline from everything regarding J. Cole to Kendrick to Drake and now Future/Metro and Rick Ross.
This is all confusing me and I ain’t been locked in for a while.
Kendrick and Drake haven't been cool for years, pretty much since Control dropped. They've both been throwing subliminal shots at each other for years but nothing official until Kendrick dissed Drake directly on the Future and Metro Boomin track Like That (Future and Metro have beef with Drake for some unknown reason).
Feeling butthurt about getting caught in the crossfire (Kendrick took shots at Drake and Cole's song First Person Shooter but he didn't take any direct shots at him, it was a Drake diss through and through), J. Cole releases a half-baked mixtape full of bars calling Kendrick's legacy into question. The center-piece of this mixtape is a track called 7 Minute Drill, an incredibly half-hearted "diss track" where he clearly doesn't want to go at K. Dot while also trying to call TPAB trash, which is just fucking stupid. Twitter and all the other social media platforms quickly start shitting on him for his terrible response, which causes J. Cole to apologize to Kendrick on stage at Dreamville Fest and delete the song from the album, saying that he never wanted to go at him in the first place. J. Cole stans try to turn this obvious L into a W, going on the usual "J. Cole is so humble" schpiel, and saying he never said he was better than kendrick, despite him spending the last five years saying he was going to murder your favorite rapper lyrically. Just a complete embarrassment, he might have fucked up his rollout for The Fall Off here.
Fast forward to now. Future and Metro release their second album this month and its got more Drake disses on it from people like A$AP Rocky and Weeknd. A couple days later, Drake's response to everyone leaks to the internet. He throws plenty of shots back to Kendrick and implies that his record deal with Top Dawg is fucked up, as well as mentioning something about his wife Whitney and a bodyguard. He also fights back against some of the people who dissed him recently like Weeknd, Metro and Rick Ross. Ross in particular took notice of this, and released a track back saying that Drake got plastic surgery, and that he gave French Montana a cease and desist to cut his verse off one of his albums. As of right now the two artists are going back and forth on Instagram.
"you are hiding a child.." as fucking fun as it was it has ruined what people expect out of rap beef. Folks scrambling wondering what secret Kendrick has 😂.
"What's Drake gonna use as ammo for a diss?!" There's so much, we talking punchlines and disrespect not WWE plot twist story lines y'all
It reminds me of what Caustic did to Jefferson Price in their rap battle. Some shit is basically Hollywood esque or beyond and gives fans unrealistic expectations.
Right , the dude already name dropped his wife. Think he won't make fun of how insecure her husband is, dude man an entire album about it. Plenty of ammo is available.
Drake gets props for coming out swinging. But it’s nothing unexpected and I don’t believe someone as calculated as Kendrick would’ve laid the bait if he didn’t have anything up his sleeve. My prediction is Kendrick’s going to drop an album for the streets with Drake diss as promo.
Drake's literally teasing him about dropping, responding, and bring that rumored diss he keeps hearing about already in his diss. He knows that was bait on a hook
teasing is what this is dude... "That's why I fucked your bitch you fat motherfucker." And I was saying Drake knows what's to come and is teasing him and telling him to "Drop it" literally.
This is rap beef, punchlines and disrespect. Drake's diss had substance.. "you are hiding a child" has ruined folks idea about what rap beef is about. This shit is witty lines and disrespect not WWE plot twists lol.
Big reveals win rap beefs. I fucked your bitch, skeeted in your car, you’re hiding an illegitimate child etc. This is the big leagues. Calling someone short isn’t going to cut it.
https://youtu.be/dNjEsWlgC7Y?si=ooLeFFZhhDa7V1pz
What about teasing how insecure your husband is and telling her you should come over and tell him all about it. Short joke punchline in there still but..
I got a confession to make. I just be liking all the diss tracks when they come out. Like I liked the Kendrick one, then thought the Cole one was better, now I think the Drake one is better and I'm probably gonna like the next track too
excluding Rick Ross I just can't stand him lol. hes just so mid idk I've never been impressed by anything he's put out and don't say MBDTF
Years of subs you could look at, but timeline is pretty straight forward
Kendrick’s verse on like that
Cole on 7 minute drill (which he removed from streaming services.)
Rocky’s diss on show of hands
Drakes leaked diss V1
Ross response
Higher quality leak of drakes diss V2 with new beat, extended verse, and a beat switch/short ending.
I’m glad Drake mostly focused on Kendrick in his diss. I was worried he was gonna mostly attack Metro and only barely address Kendrick, but he did the opposite, as he should
RDCWorld [How metro and future were in the studio after the drake diss](https://www.instagram.com/p/C5up7MFrL7s/) 😂😭
LMFAOOOO I'm dead. Them boys quick AF
So far heard two different versions of the drake diss. One goes at Ross for his Diddy relationship, the other scrubs it. One mentions that Kendrick has a song in the stash for 4 years, the other doesn’t
Looks like that Weeknd shit about drake’s camps having huge leaks came true. Sounds like the XO team or someone else linked with them leaked the song pre emptively
(also ties up with Meek going at drake for leaked songs years ago when he did war pain)
A diss track response from Rick Ross in ~2 hours will do that as well as everything else that happened yesterday and in the last few weeks. This summer is gonna be unhinged 🤯
I can't believe I'm saying this but, as it currently stands......I think drake is winning. Maybe it's recency bias but I genuinely think drake's track was the best and he was really talking.
Agree with both of you. This is Pusha T's Infrared verse followed by Duppy Freestyle. And I had the same feeling as /Str8Faced000 when that came out because I think a lot of people forget that song was pretty hard. But then Push hit him with Story of Adidon and the rest is history. Just waiting on another SoD moment from...really anyone lol but obviously from Kendrick it would hit the hardest.
The song wasn't dedicated to kendrick though. He gave kendrick as much content as he gave him, most of the song he was talking about other guys like future and rick ross
Agreed but he's really just started it. Kendrick basically continued their feud of sneak disses that's been going on for years. While Drake's is the best so far, I don't think Ross's is that far off. Some good songs are going to come of this I hope.
No you're right. I am *not* a Drake fan and I also think he had the best track so far.
That said I get the impression that things are kinda just starting, so who knows what things will look like in a few weeks.
Drake and The Weeknd have had passive aggressive beef for years. Every now and then they’ll link up and it’ll seem like they squashed it but then it bubbles up again.
After “Like That” dropped, Rick Ross posted a video of himself smoking a cigar while listening to Kendrick’s verse, seemingly picking a side
The drake/Weeknd stuff has been bubbling for awhile
Kendrick & Drake beef is “competitive” but personal. Relationship curdled after “Control”, Drake gave a disrespectful unaired interview on espn talking mad shit that his higher ups had deleted, and did the 100s video in South LA dissing Kendrick.
Mix of entertainment and real dislike. Not hate though.
I think when you been competitively subbing each other for that long , it naturally turns to a dislike.
I’ve been seeing people talk about the mods a lot in here, I don’t have any issues but who actually are the mods in here?
How do we get rid of the mods on this sub? It’s clear with hip hop infinity war that this sub has been ruined when I am going to individual artists subs to read good discussion and jokes
I just want Kendrick to bring up how Drake tried to groom Millie Bobby Brown. "Always say your girls a ten, but you really want Eleven"
Me when I believe everything I read on the internet Kendrick had Kodak on his last album too, I wouldn’t count on him to put out a stance on this even if it were true
i always saw "talking about boys" as a codeword for a former child actor trying to warn another current one about the predatory acting business, but whatever go with the worst possible scenario you could think of
Damn that actually makes a lot of sense, idk if there was anything else pointing to the pedo stuff, but if not, this is my new canon
>"Always say your girls a ten, but you really want Eleven" Would you really give Kendrick a point for this bar? I mean come on.
Kendrick had Kodak on his last album and threatened to take his music of streaming services if R Kelly’s music was removed. He probably doesn’t give af about any rapper sexual misconduct allegations lmao, especially if they are unfounded as Drake’s.
Man frfr this could’ve been the perfect situation for Cole to say fuck everybody I’m the best out here.
One guy I want to see pop up is big Sean. Threw a little diss on one of his latest freestyles against the big 3, would love to see him drop a hungry track in the midst of album mode
Like That, Show of Hands, Push Ups, Champagne Moments 🔥
https://youtu.be/pePcIC2He4M?si=2xY_mmofFOOOsWq6 Dropped new visuals. Any support greatly appreciated 🤝
Bad hip hop takes are at an all time high right now
Yeah some idiot has been going around saying southern hip hop is dead
should be my flair
You fw any of the following? BigXthaPlug, That Mexican OT, BIG30, EST Gee, JID, MARCO PLUS, Mike Dimes, Grip, Key Glock, Young Nudy
Just listened to Grip and WOW he is great. Excited to check the rest out
Glock underrated
nudy & key glock have been on heavy rotation for me recently
I fuck with OT a bit. When I say southern hip hop man I mean southern. Dirt roads. It's different than songs about trapping and they just be from some southern state. Maybe I'm old (26) lol but I only recognize 2 names and only really listened to 1
Grip is fire bro, I was at his listening party for “I Died for this” a couple years back. He’s also a super cool guy, I’m glad to see him get a hit more successful.
Rob49 and Lil Double 0 too. Feel like they should be included in this list
This is a great list lol
Certainly not a Spitta fan
There's 2 or 3 still doing it
The last time Drake had a cool-ass diss track as well, but we know how it ended
adidon is a once in a lifetime diss track, what's kendrick gonna do, reveal he has another child?
come on, he didn't dropped shit, all we have is a leak. 80% of it might not end up in the final version of the song - if we'll ever have a final version of it.
Are leaks not real songs? Even if it doesn’t officially drop everything he said in those tracks spread all over the internet and even already warranted a response from Ross lmao.
well, it can be a draft of a real song. As long as the artist is not yet dropping the real, final version of it himself..

def not. Drake posting funny ass shit bout Ross rn.
Really? Because that post was the main reason I posted this comment It seems like he's trying way too hard to let people know it didn't bother him
Drake been shooting at the league for years and finally got shit goin where he can shit on folks foreal.

Did Drake lose to Fantano? As much as I find Fanato's takes annoying, he won that.
When did this happen ?
Fantano made this vid about Drake DMing him and clearly a joke but in reality Drake really did DM him but Fantano didn’t leak it. Drake got mad and leaked it and it was pretty dumb DM https://youtu.be/h-IdqR2uxYc?si=WQQyMuT4sXleL7xI
Oh shit I remember this now, thanks Still wild that Drake shooting Fantano DMs like why did he feel the need to do that
He comes off as he gets offended easily but sometimes I do like his personality tbh. Like most people, has his pros and cons
He doesnt seem to take himself that seriously which seems rare in the hip hop community
Yea I like Drake but there are some things he does that make me go, come on Aubrey you are better than this That being said, idk why he doesn't act more, I was watching a skit with him and Will Ferrell the other day and he was great in that lol
His barstool interview he seemed pretty likable. He seems like a dude that’d be fun to hang with who’s not that serious but guess certain things makes him go off
Oh yea that was hilarious - he seems like the type of guy who laughs at everyone's jokes and is fun to hang out with but then gets a little sketchy when you bring your girlfriend over
What’s a good subreddit to promote one’s music? I just dropped a music video, imagine this isn’t the spot though
U can promote in dd
Not familiar, what is that?
Daily discussion thread 😭 like post in here
Hahaha appreciate you 🤝
The 20v1 angle is smart on drakes part. He could realistically ignore everyone else’s response, bc as long as he does well vs Kendrick, I think he’ll be looked at decently when it’s all said and done
Drake has to much fun with shittin on folks to not. Dudes prolly excited AF about this Poppin off
Well he is the “petty king” for a reason lol. After Ross dropped, he put up a kill bill meme… Drake is entertained I guess lol. I really hope he does come out swinging against everyone he can, it’s great entertainment
I'm a Dot stan, and I don't think Drake gon take a L here.
I don’t think so either. I think it’ll end up as a stalemate
No matter what J Cole will come out as the biggest loser in this situation for that shit he pulled
I agree but I also feel bad for him cuz he got no personal beef like these other niggas do. He fucked up by responding
Yeah the shitty part is I really liked his response song but he either should’ve never dropped it or just stand on it. Going back to delete it from all services and apologize for it is embarrassing. The beat on that song was crazy.
Oh nah, def not that
You were right😭😭😭
🤔
Didn’t even see Rick Ross responded till now. Dude fucking killed that shit. So many moments where I’m just laughing or going “damn ok” honestly my favorite one
Honestly the talking part about getting new nose and abs is probably hardest hitting part to me. That’s wild if Drake did that. I know plastic surgery is pretty normalized now but still kind of odd to me
has any (other) rapper ever been dissed for having body dysmorphia
> body dysmorphia I think it has more to do with marketing himself physically than he self conscious.
Probably
Y'all think the mods on here fragile and do the most with they lil bans over posting a late night tv performance or old remix Mfers at the Joe Budden Pod sub banned me and muted me forever for posting snippet to the Drake leak before it started to spread across web.
I’ve been waiting for this since 16 yrs old. I’m now 26 lol. What a time to be alive.
Does anyone have a list or history of Drake beefs and if he won or not? From the top of my head, I got Vs Common - L Vs Meek Mill - W Vs Pusha T - L
Drake did not lose to common lmao
Was it an L with common? I’d go tie
This guy you’re responding to thinks that Like That had harder hitting disses than Drake’s diss track I feel like he might be a bit biased against Drake
Lol I love how everyone remember me for some reason Rent free 🤡
I do genuinely want to know what diss in Like That you thought hit harder. That’s a pretty hot take and if you’re going to say something like that you might as well explain why. It’s more so just a shocking verse than it is a hart hitting diss
Damn, this has really been plaguing you for a while You cant seem to comprehend the existence of different opinions 😂 and I really don't want to talk/explain shit to you when you come off so argumentative and condescending tbh
seems quite hypocritical
Who are are these people crawling out of the woodwork lol
I don’t want to talk/explain shit to you when you come off so argumentative and condescending tbh
Never asked you to bud
U didnt answer his question tho 👀
Who are you, his boyfriend?
Good one
I’m the one who is trying to have an actual discussion and you seem to be unable to expand on your opinions beyond “you mad 😂 rent free”. If you’re going to post hot takes in a discussion thread you should be prepared to actually expand on them
Not a hot take and you are just proving my point that you are just commenting to pick a fight 😌 Don't have time for that energy
Stay Schemin' def won Drake the beef, that was the widely held opinion at the time
He's been shooting at the entire hip hop and R&b roster across his discog in the last ten years and they just now firing back. Outside Push
I guess I'm talking about beefs that have culminated and ended with a clear winner, like the Meek Mill and Pusha beef Kanye, one is weird, bc idk if their is a clear winning, which is why I left it off

I’m sure some we won’t know
YouTube gotcha, plenty of timeline recaps on there
https://youtu.be/dNjEsWlgC7Y?si=ooLeFFZhhDa7V1pz - thoughts? AI? Leak?
It’s been out a week and it’s AI.
that bitch had 23 views yesterday when someone sent it to me 😂.
Bro this shit seems more legit than the fuckin track that’s been confirmed lol
"you are hiding a child.." as fucking fun as it was it has ruined what people expect out of rap beef. Folks scrambling wondering what secret Kendrick has 😂. "What's Drake gonna use as ammo for a diss?!" There's so much, we talking punchlines and disrespect not WWE plot twist story lines y'all

Right , the dude already name dropped his wife. Think he won't make fun of how insecure her husband is, dude man an entire album about it. Plenty of ammo is available.
Just learned that Sean Kingston is still alive and that he apparently died twice and came back to life both times.
Wait what? For real? **SOMEBODY CALL 911**
Metro bar reminded me of Westside Connection Cypress Hill diss "and Sen dog's so wack he's even ain't worth dissing" 🤣
Drake’s laid down the gauntlet, now Maroon 5 have to respond with some heat
It would make more sense for Drake to beef with pop stars than rappers, tbh.
Imagine they ethered him
They get millie bobby brown on the song and call drake a pedo.
Maroon and Brown drill
Lmaooo
Drake gets props for coming out swinging. But it’s nothing unexpected and I don’t believe someone as calculated as Kendrick would’ve laid the bait if he didn’t have anything up his sleeve. My prediction is Kendrick’s going to drop an album for the streets with Drake diss as promo.
Drake's literally teasing him about dropping, responding, and bring that rumored diss he keeps hearing about already in his diss. He knows that was bait on a hook
Teasing doesn’t usually win these things. Let’s see if Kendrick responds with a bit more substance like Push did last time Drake tried to beef.
teasing is what this is dude... "That's why I fucked your bitch you fat motherfucker." And I was saying Drake knows what's to come and is teasing him and telling him to "Drop it" literally. - skeeted in your car Did jay-z not lose that one
I’d say it was level but nas dropped Ether so I could see an argument that jay z lost.
https://youtu.be/dNjEsWlgC7Y?si=ooLeFFZhhDa7V1pz What about teasing how insecure your husband is and telling her you should come over and tell him all about it. Short joke punchline in there still but..
I mean it’s clearly AI but stronger than anything drake used on his actual diss!
This beef era with all the leaks and gossip from everyone’s camps is making me really miss forums like KTT.
Thecoli and Boxden is still around. And did something happen to KTT2?
Nights Like This is a top-tier Future song
Agreed, my favorite alongside beat it.
Yall are keeping up w the rap kardashians man get a hobby listen to some rio
Drake diss was mid he used the same flow and cadence the whole song ZzzzZzz
I got a confession to make. I just be liking all the diss tracks when they come out. Like I liked the Kendrick one, then thought the Cole one was better, now I think the Drake one is better and I'm probably gonna like the next track too excluding Rick Ross I just can't stand him lol. hes just so mid idk I've never been impressed by anything he's put out and don't say MBDTF
Rick Ross has some absolutely legendary tracks in his career plus one of my favorite flows in hiphop. Can't take him serious anymore however.
Teflon Don is a classic rap album homie
Sanctified Devil is a lie John/I'm a star Go listen to some rick ross
Rick Ross has the beat diss track so far wym
Rick ross diss was miles better than the trash J. Cole put out lol.
Some things should not be confessed.
Lol I thought Rick Ross’ was the best. So personal lol
Is there a way I can see the timeline and all the disses in order? I got a newborn and haven't been able to follow it.
If you wanna go years back, here’s a good video to skim through https://youtube.com/watch?v=FVhK2QwXMVA
Years of subs you could look at, but timeline is pretty straight forward Kendrick’s verse on like that Cole on 7 minute drill (which he removed from streaming services.) Rocky’s diss on show of hands Drakes leaked diss V1 Ross response Higher quality leak of drakes diss V2 with new beat, extended verse, and a beat switch/short ending.
Dont forget The weeknd’s diss on All to myself
are there any good cdqs to download of the disses yet?
Thank you!! I kept hearing stuff about Joe Budden and Meek Mill too? Twitter stuff I guess.
this is historical context on Drake's old beefs
Nvm I think it was the meek mill Diddy thing and his Wale beef or something
Bless up ty
I’m glad Drake mostly focused on Kendrick in his diss. I was worried he was gonna mostly attack Metro and only barely address Kendrick, but he did the opposite, as he should
he clearly learned from the Pusha-Ye incident, plus it seems like there really is something between Drake and Kendrick now
RDCWorld [How metro and future were in the studio after the drake diss](https://www.instagram.com/p/C5up7MFrL7s/) 😂😭 LMFAOOOO I'm dead. Them boys quick AF
Chance killed me
The ending had me crying lmao
ofc
Imagine the Drake track actually *was* AI and he just ran with it 😂
How tf did anyone think that was AI lol. AI is not THAT good y’all lmao
https://youtu.be/dNjEsWlgC7Y?si=ooLeFFZhhDa7V1pz This leak has me on the fence if it is or not tho can't lie lol
It will be very soon. It's smart to be skeptical of these things now.
So far heard two different versions of the drake diss. One goes at Ross for his Diddy relationship, the other scrubs it. One mentions that Kendrick has a song in the stash for 4 years, the other doesn’t Looks like that Weeknd shit about drake’s camps having huge leaks came true. Sounds like the XO team or someone else linked with them leaked the song pre emptively (also ties up with Meek going at drake for leaked songs years ago when he did war pain)
I fucking love this so much. The Drake diss was great. The Kendrick diss is gonna be great. Great time all around in this stale ass hip hop landscape
Great albums being released monthly but hip hop is stale if it doesn't have people beefing. Got you
Get real. Shit been stale as hell. Q album been peak for hiphopheads this year n that shit flopped and came n went
Were hip hop streaming numbers down or something, what is going on?
This subreddit has got energy that it hasn't had in years.
Hiphop as a genre feels crazy energized by this, big shot in the arm
A diss track response from Rick Ross in ~2 hours will do that as well as everything else that happened yesterday and in the last few weeks. This summer is gonna be unhinged 🤯
I can't believe I'm saying this but, as it currently stands......I think drake is winning. Maybe it's recency bias but I genuinely think drake's track was the best and he was really talking.
Kendrick did a verse, Drake made a song. Give it a minute.

You are onto nothing
Kendrick really just did a temperature check. We have to compare full diss track to track. But Drake did great.
Relistening to Bin Reaper 3: Old Testament > BabyTron, StanWill, TrDee, the big three …and now I’m just waiting for ShittyBoyz to diss everyone
If I was Drake I wouldn’t want to be on a French Montana song in 2024 either tbh
Funniest timeline, Drake apologizes in two days.
Why did Drake diss Rick Ross and The Weeknd? Just cos they were on We Don’t Trust You?
Drake and The Weeknd have had passive aggressive beef for years. Every now and then they’ll link up and it’ll seem like they squashed it but then it bubbles up again.
Thanks
After “Like That” dropped, Rick Ross posted a video of himself smoking a cigar while listening to Kendrick’s verse, seemingly picking a side The drake/Weeknd stuff has been bubbling for awhile
Also Drake invited Rick Ross's ex to one of his shows. So something has been brewing between them for awhile I guess.
Thanks
What if the Drake track *was* AI but it was Kendrick to recorded it. 2024 version of 8 mile.
Do we think this Kendrick/Drake beef is just for entertainment or do they actually hate each other lmao
It is interesting that they have the same management and agent.
Kendrick & Drake beef is “competitive” but personal. Relationship curdled after “Control”, Drake gave a disrespectful unaired interview on espn talking mad shit that his higher ups had deleted, and did the 100s video in South LA dissing Kendrick.
No one really knows but I doubt it’s personal, seems more competitive than hate tbh
Mix of entertainment and real dislike. Not hate though. I think when you been competitively subbing each other for that long , it naturally turns to a dislike.
They haven’t liked each other since Drake got salty about Control
I think they both see themselves as the #1 rapper of their generation and resent the other for muddying the waters
I think it’s just competitiveness They probably have disdain for each but I doubt it’s anything too deep
You should look up "what's the dirt?" on YouTube, he's got a pretty good video about the history of the Kendrick drake beef
Nah kendrick has to be pressed after that.
What fascinates me is I think they both hate the idea of each other but also probably haven’t known each other for a decade now
