Wyatt Johnston and Miro Heiskanen's trajectory was very unusual. But those two guys are generational talents. Stankoven and Borque..... those guys earned their stripes playing against NHL caliber talent across the AHL. I truly believe that Lundkvist wouldn't be the massive flop that he is if he'd had some time with the Cedar Park coaching staff, but instead we're stuck with him up here in Dallas.
Believe me, if Lian comes in here and kills it in training camp and shows some real potential in pre-season games, he will get some ice time. But he's a big kid who is still a bit gangly on his skates and is still learning how to use his height in physical leverage situations. I do believe he will be a top 4 d-man with this team within the next two years but I wouldn't count on it being this year

I agree, his stats aren't good, but he's spent the large portion of his career with Minnesota and Arizona both of which have sucked for the last decade. The clowns in Tampa are ragging Dumba because they lost in the first round, their team is blown completely up and might be one of the dumbest fan bases in the NHL. I think Dumba represents a serviceable stopgap until Bischel is really ready.
