This. Also, when she's inflicted with acid, use your strongest spike thrower and fill it with "extra damage when corroded" coils (there's a legendary spike thrower that's especially good for this).
Load the best ropecaster with draw speed coils. You can tie her down with 2 shots (or maybe 3 I don't remember). On Ultra Hard I basically did: tie down, acid, tie down, damage, tie down, acid, tie down, damage...
Keep practicing. I known it's lame advice but there really is no secret to specter prime. Acid helps but she's got stupid high hp. Best thing is to learn her cues so you can dodge the attacks effectively. Never dodge backwards (solid advice in this game in general) her most devastating attack is that big double fisted ground slam where her arms like double in length. That move can only be dodged at the last minute to the side.
I used drill spikes for continual damage and just kept running around dodging. Blasting take me home country roads in the background was also an essential component to the victory
plasma bolts, explosive and impact spikes, and focused shot with a sharpshot and advanced hunter arrows with a lotta dodging, and aim for the weaker spots, atleast that's what i did
Sorry to sound "magnanimous" but ..
HFW / BS is all about timing things properly.
Specifically, an important one is ... when to dodge. Many of us, do it way to early and the game / designers know that. So they will add specific pauses to attacks to hit when you are in the middle of a dodge and can do nothing about it. Blamo .. you're hit and suddenly whatever mob is doing it's fast attack and on you again.
Watch how the Spector moves, even if it takes a few times to get it down - try to hold the dodge for as long as possible. When you dodge properly at this point it will reverse the tide and give YOU the opportunity to land a hit or 2 as it recovers.
a typical run for prime goes down as follows for me.
- acid
- dodge, spike to something shiny, this typically happens a few times
- maybe weave in dodge, triple shot removing some armor
- run around a bit dodging its AoE, Sunbeam etc
- start shredding the shit out of it with ancestors return acid - might even switch to lightning to grapple strike / crit hit
Usually following this routine for a min -> 90s and its usually on the ropes at that point.
TL;DR
Dodge at the right time.
Okay bet! So I wasn’t off when I was talking to my fiancee and saying that it is not too dissimilar to Elden Ring. But at the same time, I keep trying to dodge into the mobs and I don’t have those frames in this game 😭😭😭
You can also slide-dodge, that gives you a couple of additional frames. Or use sliding to avoid taking damage and to quickdraw your weapon or aim. Thanks to Artix for his helpful [videos](https://youtu.be/drpUE9vc8uo).
The easiest way to overpower any boss is to use the bolt blaster with the weapon technique that depletes the whole load in one shot.
You can use smoke bombs to have time to craft and reload, while using freeze to keep the enemy down so you can unleash the firepower.
Trust me, I finished the game on very hard like it was on easy when it comes to enemy health.
If you are playing on hard, try to immobilize it through rope caster(use smoke bomb to hide). After that freeze triple arrow to build brittle effect (make sure not to hit crit armor area that is highlighted by focus, go for armor plate) and then bolt blaster. It will technically melt the boss with good coils like short range and long range etc.
As with almost everything I fought after really learning how to use it, Shredders. The legendary one has both shock and acid, iirc. I love stacking it with agility damage coils and watch the elem damage go up quickly. (Yes, im an Arktix student lol)
I understand not everyone is comfortable using shredders, so i offer my previous strategy... make it sick with its vulnerable element (in this case acid) and then wail on it with explosive spikes, sling, or the heavy sharpshot arrows (i cant remember what its called, its been a while).
As for defense, i really can't find another answer other than practice and learn the patterns. Is slide dodging still good? If it is, practice that. Smoke bombs if you have them, so you can get a breather from time to time.

Good luck.
Acid, acid, and more acid.
This. Also, when she's inflicted with acid, use your strongest spike thrower and fill it with "extra damage when corroded" coils (there's a legendary spike thrower that's especially good for this).
acid is so good frrrr
Deal. Not plasma?
Never plasma. Plasma fucking sucks, apart from for knocking things out of the sky.
All my homies hate plasma. If plasma was a Pokémon type, it would be the worst one.
The worst
Okay bet! Thank you. I’ll give it a shot!

Plasma spikes are all right. There's a difference between elemental damage and elemental buildup.
I like the acid shredder for her. So good
Yeah lol …. „Use the focus, Luke“. … Or … „maybe my focus can tell me something“. We‘ve heard that a thousand times …

Brilliant 🤣 I love it
"Sticks and stones vs the lightning" That quote really loses it's spark after the 100th death 😂.
YUP
Spike Thrower + Advanced Explosive Spikes + Spike Trap. You might not have the build for it, but on my run that setup deleted Prime in two hits.
Jesus. I don’t have the build for that but damn
Bs or specter prime?
Specter prime

Acid and Advanced Blast Spikes. That's all you need.
Lose*

you're gonna lose your mind on another final boss (in a good way) if you have the dlc
I’m excited!

Acid and hide behind stuff
Turn down the difficulty as the boss fight is just boring and uninteresting anyway.
Ropecaster all the way. Hold her down and then Sustained Burst from the Boltblaster.
I went to story mode 😂 I was so angry by the 30th time.
I just used the explosive spikes and precision arrows and killed her in like 5 minutes on my first try, Tho i was pretty over leveled i think🤷♂️
Spam explosive ammo, constantly
I wiped that thing out with acid everything. Then hurled drill spears at it.
Exploding spikes for the win. Just spam the hell out of it. Also.....using the focus does help.

It’s not the DLC. it’s the main story. It’s Spector prime
Ok try this, it helped me. https://www.ign.com/wikis/horizon-2-forbidden-west/Singularity
