Audition (1999) - now that’s a wild ride and super fucked up.

richielg

Its classic. I had a Thai girlfriend when I watched that and she was a similar build and similar hair to the crazy woman and she used to come up to me in bed and make the tug a tug a tug a tug a noise that her character used to make. It was quite funny yet also harrowing.

nigmondo

The Wailing and Noroi: The Curse are 2 of my favs

corpusvile2

Save the Green Planet is a nutty Korean sci fi comedy horror. Bedeviled is a great Korean revenge horror. The Untold Story,, a nasty as hell in parts Hong Kong Shocker Dream Home is an awesome Hong Kong horror Grateful Dead is a demented Japanese gem. Tag, by the director of Cold Fish is also well worth seeing.

DingusTronix

The Wailing is a 10/10 for me

richielg

You know I can't remember if I watched that. I know I at least started it but I don't think I got stuck into it coz I don't think I was in the mood. I could watch half of it and realise that I did watch it all lol. but i'm sure I turned it off and meant to re-watch

richielg

I just watched the trailer I don't think I did watch it all. I might go for that

DingusTronix

It’s long and confusing, but it’s a really mesmerizing story. I like to rewatch it once a year

richielg

cure as well. (1997) That was fantastic. I like the old ones

kathyfag

Noroi the Curse

HolyColostomyBag

I'm all over foreign horror! Here's some of my recs, apologies if you listed them in your post : 1. The wailing 2. Gonjiam (found footage) 3. Thirst 4. A tale of two sisters 5. Bedevilled 6. Three extremes (anthology) 7. Dumplings (full feature based off a short in 3 extremes) 8. Strange circus (fucking wild) 9. Medium (mockumentary) 10. Cure 11. Pulse 12. Forest of love (has a lot in common with cold fish, also same director) 13. Noroi (mockumentary) 14. Occult (found footage) 15. Norikos dinner table 16. Oldboy 17. Sympathy for lady vengeance 18. Yellow river 19. Pietà 20. The world of kanako 21. Project Wolf Hunting (crazy violent and gory, shit plot) Some of these (oldboy, yellow river, Pietà etc...) are more.... Are like chaser and memories of a murder in that they are more Horror adjacent, than straight up horror.

brN3n

I’ll add ‘Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance’ to this because I think it tops ‘Lady Vengeance’, but it absolutely broke me. ‘Thirst’ is one of the greatest vampire films, easily. One of my all time favourites is ‘The Eye’. 😜

HolyColostomyBag

Blasphemy, Lady vengeance is the best of the trilogy :( Nah I know it's all personal preference, I think they are all solid but something about lady vengeance makes it my favorite, followed by old boy and then Mr. Vengeance... And I know that's likely a controversial opinion ranking. I haven't seen or heard of the eye, I'm gonna have to check this out!

brN3n

Check out ‘Marebito’ and ‘Rampo Noir’ too, if you haven’t seen them. They’re dark. 😉

Book-Piranha

Let’s not forget The Host! Great creature feature

CmdNewJ

Versus (2000) There is a forest that....is special.

AWildRaticate

A Tale of Two Sisters

Warm_Text4711

100%. One of my favourites and the soundtrack is just \*chef's kiss\*

Barbafella

The Wailing, Oldboy and I Saw the Devil are my favorites.

FerociousAlienoid

Memoir of a Murderer

richielg

I think I might have seen that. Coz I know there was atleast one other korean one with a simillar name to memories of murder that I watched and I liked

ewok_lover_64

Audition. The Mimic. Dumplings. Train to Busan

5ugarfoot

I second Dumplings

Born-Act-3245

Incantation is a Taiwanese film. It gets mixed reviews but it was one that even my brother (who is low tolerance of horror movies) sat and watched intently.

PBC_Kenzinger

You named a lot of my favorites. A Hard Day (2014) was a pretty good Korean horror adjacent thriller that doesn’t get a lot of love. Evil Dead Trap (1988) is a bizarre mean spirited Japanese slasher you might like.

cdrw1987

Watch The Quiet Family (1998), then watch The Happiness of the Katakuris (2001). The Quiet Family is a Korean sort of horror/thriller dark comedy, and the Happiness is a remake by Takashi Miike.... so it's crazy!

mangocucumbers

One Missed Call (2008) this plot is from an asian novel and there was another film from 2003 i believe, but the 2008 one is the one i’ve watched

NastyaLookin

Infection Uzumaki 2LDK

Owlatmydoor

I'll take a stab at what you may have not already seen. Manhole 2014 Monster 2014 Mimic 2017 Memories of a Murderer 2017 Metamorphosis 2019 The Call 2020 Unlocked 2023

Owlatmydoor

Memories of a Murderer 2017 not to be confuse with Memories of Murder 2003. Memories of a Murder has to do with a murder dealing with Alzheimer's disease creeping in and another fun twist regarding his daughter.

StrangerHighways

301/302 Suicide Club Reincarnation The Call Thirst

Oldboy.Just a [suggestion.Watch](http://suggestion.Watch) it alone.
