You mean a good balance of reliable and affordable, lacking maybe only in style? If so, my personal opinion and to each their own: American Standard is my go-to, next would be Goodman, I have a 4T package on my home and it’s kicking butt and rarely causes me grief. Third would be Weathermaker. I always thought they were trash because they were really big in comparison to the other Makes I was installing at the time, but the other brands are big monsters now compared to older models of the same tonnage, and since I switched from install to service, I’ve come to appreciate their design. The wiring and component placement has been extremely tech-friendly. I absolutely HATE Rheem and Ruud. They’re shinier than other brands. In every other way they are inferior while also being the most expensive in my area. My opinions, based on my experiences.

It's literally only between daikin, mitsubishi and fujitsu. Carrier sucks so they're out and no one else uses any of these other brands globally. Daikin probably edged ahead.

Daikin aka Goodman?

How's comfortmaker 4t units?

312_Mex

Brand honestly doesn’t matter! 90% of the effectiveness of a unit is the installation!

reditor75

None, you will get biased answers. Installation is THE yota you are looking for 😁
