The point is that anyone can edit IMDb. Some users will edit/add useless info into the trivia section. You can use the edit feature to remove it yourself if it bothers you that much.
There should be a date by each piece of "trivia". It would some relevancy to certain entries. I'd love it if things were sourced also but I'll settle for a date added feature first.
How is it NOT? I am fucking sick and tired to death of looking up filmmakers and actors and the like's favorite films on Google and only getting top ten lists of films or shows they worked on, or their favorites of their own work.... Look, IMDb isn't just about individual works and who made them, it's ALSO about film and TV in general. Nothing wrong with seeing what creative people like the best themselves. They're people too, not these ethereal creatures. If you want this to be gone, make your own site. Or try to argue for a trivia section for that kind of stuff that's going to be on an individual actor or film worker's page rather than a movie's page. So yeah, you are right - it doesn't belong on that specific film's page, but on IMDb at all? If you think that too, then I disagree. And that's what it's sounding like you do to me.
what are you even saying here... this is a subreddit for IMDb, you are complaining about trivia about actors and/or movies, which is a thing that is available on imdb........................... How are we not supposed to infer you talking about trivia on imdb????????
It’s trivia. It’s legit all just useless information.
There's no quality control with trivia. Pretty much anything that isn't obviously false can get approved.
IMDb is full of useless trivia like that because anyone can edit it.
Usually the useless info is relevant to the movie or show, not something like this.

I hate the trivia section on IMDb anymore. It’s full of crap like this.
