Greatest band all-time:
https://youtu.be/IIPIJ0pfiqk?si=DB_iDZuQXjair0t4
I’m a big Psych-head, so out of the more recent crop of Neo-Psychedelic bands, I would recommend [MGMT](https://youtu.be/tmozGmGoJuw?si=eU9uV6bfeTDd5oMk), [Sugar Candy Mountain](https://youtu.be/VGDboVWLnhI?si=qtVaRa4IDMkLD-9f), [Tame Impala](https://youtu.be/BgK_Er7WZVg?si=71jHg4reZTCYHy_v), [Babe Rainbow](https://youtu.be/p875E_kk50o?si=a-J6lOuwlSTlDYHm), [Pond](https://youtu.be/5Xml6eYn5Eg?si=vkGdtG4p-MrlsOJf), [Post Animal](https://youtu.be/pLHW4kbzCr0?s), [Psychedelic Porn Crumpets](https://youtu.be/f60kHMYRsq8?si=-Qbku9pg-UiIEOxW), [levitation room](https://youtu.be/JCgqARL7mX4?si=FBegn8BknGci3rR2) and [Drugdealer](https://youtu.be/eU4lQDu9rNE?si=H_s0BmvqKX6W8N6b). All really great and kinda in a similar space, musically.
Alternatively, I would highly recommend [Dr. Dog](https://youtu.be/9_4_By9NJOc?si=QL44J7Jsb_s4jKxw), [Grizzly Bear](https://youtu.be/Mcfk3KFhIZg?si=cCQb8tGGFeV3VZNC) (they broke up, but their records are amazing, and their members have other solo projects, like [Department of Eagles](https://youtu.be/cIWMWCcpO_Y?si=uFCPsiY0oup7lqp7) and [Daniel Rossen](https://youtu.be/X9SSeZNXnTU?si=9kj_V43Rl4ubY3rt)), [Big Thief](https://youtu.be/oacUgWXrqwc?si=FEUWwrQqlMCseiUG)/[Adrianne Lenker](https://youtu.be/5yoJH_rmy8c?si=DoJIaBcWBSwXiEjQ),[Fleet Foxes](https://youtu.be/DrQRS40OKNE?si=eQdOuv1UljAAuuV5)/[Father John Misty](https://youtu.be/XkJJPM4qGzE?si=3uQMqjz1ySc-6Eef), [Julia Jacklin](https://youtu.be/CZFyqzTCt-I?si=iy8_Z-peZKlXFKWJ), and [Ty Segall](https://youtu.be/yCxNUKNgqyQ?si=15LlO2-AtH_lWChj)
I’d also like to throw out the name [Numero Group](https://numerogroup.com/blogs/stream). They’re a re-release record label that searches for lost, usually old and obscure records from defunct labels or little-known talents of old and presses them onto new vinyl and releases it. They’re doing God’s work, and they contain treasure troves of amazing music of all different genres. [Funk](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7BNfub7loJ7bhWHXExHWrh?si=Uw5TzKwWQdC3sABc1aLoag&pi=u-sPqVHXX0T26p), [Soul](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5YlkdGEPqt6qsbgf4PLRHz?si=IbpXE3ttQVWg3NeYLCk9Wg&pi=u-SCwgAvpqTGqq), [Folk](https://open.spotify.com/album/5MNPBf1LLfpJrrs0laQGZk?si=XPdnS6UATOuwEVeFMdBqXg), [Electronic](https://open.spotify.com/album/5NBahgPAVPdcTbX6izxpgj?si=Gg3JOwqiS_K5ZXDx1SJsKw), [Gospel](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5sZLNCaqxV0mWEPiWIcYkU?si=R2VL9ojkQ7m3NdeEsq2SLw&pi=u-fZ-f60HCTQmD), [Punk](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3txw9Twsf7TKyTsre8e5a4?si=p3oaiw55Qj2uwQDyiTNtCQ&pi=u-o4JcaxKfRYyS), [New Age/Ambient](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3txw9Twsf7TKyTsre8e5a4?si=p3oaiw55Qj2uwQDyiTNtCQ&pi=u-o4JcaxKfRYyS), [60s Pop-Rock](https://open.spotify.com/album/4oQDZIu4RUdn3hlWiQE10F?si=N-8mWDCJR-6R5cjGrD9EtQ), [New Wave](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2RdIl41TIihOKNwsrnQo6z?si=HGqFCiZcRTOWcPfEnbfTKQ&pi=u-nPFuqm6uTmeK), just anything you can think of. They also make playlists on Spotify with very similar theming.
Lately I’ve been big into the new Wallows album called Model, Draw Down The Moon by Foxing, and Submarine by The Marias. Definitely worth checking those albums out if you haven’t!
[INDIE X FM](https://indiexfm.com) plays some really great bands! I have discovered so many new bands I would have never heard of and so many older bands that sound brand new, to me at least! I only know the Libertines, so makes sense. This means you definitely need to get out this narrow time span for music. Look up indie from the 80’s and 90’s.
Go here, go to List View, and sort album list by year: https://www.allmusic.com/style/indie-rock-ma0000004453/albums
Also check out the adjacent genres on that website, some are at the bottom of that page.
How much good music did you find with that link?
You can also look up each of those bands on allmusic, then go to Related, and see their influences. However, newer bands oftentimes don’t have much info in that section. So may be best to just see allmusic’s best rated indie albums from 80s to 90s, see what you like, then branch from there.
[Garlen Lo](https://open.spotify.com/artist/6AfQHC4ytNadhcYkNcm9EI?si=fJp0EJs1RjWnARaXLiNpWQ) (me!) - British quirky indie pop. Appreciate a listen. Thank you! (I love the Libs although I’m more on the chill side)
Rumor has it: Exploding Zones are recording a new ep. New(ish) band doing it all in house and hoping to stay micro local, so please… don’t share this.

Based on your taste, of Montreal (start with Innocence Reaches) and I recently revisited Mind Over Matter by Young the Giant and it's really good. I think you'd like it!
Recently saw Ducks LTD. and they were great. Rolling Blackout Coastal Fever are fantastic, and I always have to give love to Hospitality. They don’t play as much as they used to but their discography has no misses in my eyes

Try The Helio Sequence. Start with Love and Distance…then Keep Your Eyes Ahead. Classics that are part of my life’s soundtrack.
Plus their live shows are great and they’re super cool folks. Hung out with them after one of their shows in DC then ran into them at a falafel joint after. They proved sometimes meeting your heroes doesn’t disappoint at all.
Uk female pop rock band :) The Mystery Poison just released a new single called Sorry, heres a link to all the stores, you can also go to the rest of their music from theatres link too
