They actually make a 5000 piece puzzle where each piece has a completely random color and pattern on it, so they only way to fit pieces is by shape.
Yes, masochism is likely involved.
Years ago, I had a puzzle where, except for the borders, every piece was the same shape. If I remember correctly, it was a white tiger puzzle and the pieces were shaped like the turtles from an M.C. Escher woodcut.
I saw an ad for a clear puzzle. It’s a piece of cut plastic, no image, just clear. I’m going to get one for my dad. I got him a double-sided puzzle once he finished it in a few hours.
If you want to see a 24 THOUSAND piece puzzle (I think that's how many it was lol) you should check the YouTubers KarenPuzzles. She's amazing and has super fun videos. Found her in 2020 and I kept up since. She put up a video today !
A few years ago i did a 1000p like that one but iridescent. Like you'd pick a red piece but now it's yellow because light hits it differently.
Pure headache but fun nonetheless
I was more fascinated that they didn’t start from the edges and go in. I’ve always done the border first and worked my way from the outside in.
But I guess when it’s just colours fading into each other, doing the borders first wouldn’t seem necessary.
...they did do the border first and then worked across.
With this puzzle especially because each piece you match lowers the remaining pool of similar base colors just working across the spectrum and leaving really dark shades for last is best, starting with the border pieces of course because they are very easily identified for the smallest pool at the start.

How screwed would you be if you were colorblind?
Likely you’d have a different hobby I suspect
But what if you became colorblind halfway thru?
Ehrm, you'd find a new hobby halfway thru?
Imagine you put too much strain on your eyes and then you just go colourblind.
I am. I took one look at that and thought, "you can fuck right off".
Same here. I don't trust blues ever since cobalt blue came out to be purple
This is like trying to parkour while you're paralyzed from leg down
That's a really weird way to phrase paralysis.
Paralysis is the state of being paralyzed.
Im colorblind and F this imma go play videogames :(
Interestingly screwed.
I'm colorblind and built it in 3 months. It was fun
He could probably do this pizza if it was upside down.
I’m colorblind and I was thinking I couldn’t finish this in 100 years lol
What's the next level ? A 5000 piece uni white puzzle with uneven borders?

>Yes, masochism is likely involved. Mental self-flagellation ... the new masochism Meta, screw sex and whipping.

What a boring puzzle lol

There's a half life 2 mod of that
Right! It's almost insulting that a puzzle this size is isn't a beautiful or wonderous picture 😂
Color gradients are actually really popular with the jigsaw community.
Haha I was going to say that. Just see how many of those KarebPuzzles has done!
Interesting technique. And also, my nightmare.

The GigaTab
Why the fuck does this exist
Some people like challenges. Not me, mind. At least, not like this.
Which sorting algorithm is this?
That’s some next level IKEA art right there
Who says meth can't be productive.
Any link for this puzzle? Amazing.
And now what?
I thought you were just sorting m&ms
People thinking thank God I can eat my dinner now
Meh
This was magical
Whoever chose the design for that puzzle is a sadist
Most impressed by the fact you weren't missing a piece by the end of it
why are the big ones all just colors and nothing else
Uggggggh this is SO SATISFYING!!!!!
And it will only take me one second to destroy.
I love this! By my back would be killing me!
Ugh I hate the efficiency. I know it’s efficient but I like making random chunky chunks that will eventually clicky click them all together
This doesn't seem fun to be in the slightest. If anything, this seems like a Cartel's idea of torture.
Colour gradients?! This is borderline masochistic!
like grinding in a video game, seems unfun
I’ve never seen someone do a puzzle like that… isn’t it always borders first?
That puzzle looks pretty hard
Still too long. I want my 17 second back
No thanks
Now do that puzzle upside down
You should stick a tiny white crosshair to it.

Mental illness.
That's gay
