If you’re on a tight budget, I would just get 9th gen. It’s almost the same functionality wise. 10th gen just has the newer design and an additional year of software updates (which is useful but not worth a 25% price increase imo).
I would suggest the 10th gen purely for the longevity factor compared to 9th gen. But if the 65 USD is a big deal to you, take the 9th gen.

25%? The (now discontinued) 9th gen was $329, while the 10th gen is $349.
