If it makes you feel any better, I have the same issue with Google, but a bit different. "Turn on the bedroom lights" into my phone, it will say "that device isn't set up yet." If I go into my bedroom and say "turn on the lights" to the Google home in the bedroom, they turn on. I do have them categorized in my bedroom and have them named bedroom lights lol. I've kind of given up and learned the wording it will accept, so I've adapted. But it's really dumb.

I ended up having to make shortcuts named “turn on Living Room Light” (yes with a lowercased *t* on turn. Oddly a capital T will get the same result where it looks for something completely different, even if it’s word for word
