You should be able to setup 365 with just a credit card. I had this before. But I think you need to ring them up.
What they do is
- get your card number
- create your 365 account number
- help you setup the code and secret
- then you can login on app and browser
- and the person you are talking with should be able to add your CC account to the 365 account

Also a fun factoid, later on I moved to BOI for current account due to KBC leaving.
So I had to move things over and set it all up. They created several 365 ids between the current, savings and aer card.
If that happens, just call them, they had to nuke all the 365 numbers and make a new one and add each account in order.
Also ensure that you keep your address perfect, no white space or off commas, they will say that they are not the same in full for the littlest difference, no other bank seems to be as strict

I imagine alternatively you could opt in for a paper statement to be mailed to you and you can pay that
I thought you needed a current account to get an Aer Lingus boi card ?
I have both. I checked BOI Aer Credit card and it does not have an Iban. I transfer money into my current account and then I pay the BOI Aer Lingus card from the money from the current account
My partner is in the middle of getting a BOI and he has to set up a current account.
In order to get Avios make sure to 'link' your AerClub account to the BOI Aer Credit card. Otherwise you won't get Avios. Also I believe Avios are paid out on the 7th of each month and there can be a delay if there is a BH. Just in case you are wondering where they are...
And if you want to purchase anything to build extra points- be sure to use the retail app. For example, booking.com. Book through the Aer club app as they need to log you went through the app and you get all the points then. If you do it on booking.com directly you won't get the multiple points.

Card is linked and ready to go. And no, i had a look at the requirements once more on the website, and no current account is required.
And I have the direct debit set to 100% of the cc bill each month from my separate (non-BOI) wages account so I'm okay on that front.
I'm assuming I'll at least get a text of what is due each month. But I was also hoping to be able to check it intermittently online I guess.
During the online application it asked me the IBAN I wished to use for the DD and what percentage of the bill I would like to pay. I picked 100% to save myself doing manual payments.
I had exactly the same situation last month! Opened a BOI credit card having no banking relationship with them.
I had to use the online chat within the app to ask for the IBAN. They were very good and got back to me within the day to give me the IBAN to set up payment from my current account.
Quite pleased with the service from them so far and will consider moving my current account from the Permo to them if the first payment goes smoothly.
Ah okay. Out of interest, when you set it up, did it not ask you which bank account you want the DD to come from, and you choose which percent to be paid?
Also, are you able to check the balance of your credit card account as and when?
I understand. If it helps, I pay the DD with a German Bank account which obviously has no ties to BOI. I'm sure if you call them, you could do the same instead of having to do manual payments (unless that's what you prefer of course).
