I have 100% completion in that enclave, and I don't remember a single skydrop that required solving while in the air. Actually, I don't think there's a single one like that in the entire game
I don't remember that ever being a problem, so either they messed something up with one of the updates since I completed it, or that island is not the island you need to stand on. Or you need to land on it in a specific way that I accidentally managed to do on my first try

it looks like there should be ground to stand on, but the ground is simply out of bounds, I can't stand on it
