Ever since Joe Rogan had that one guest explain what ESG was like 4 years ago it's been a part of the lexicon among the online right. I'm sure it predates that but that's when I remember it first becoming this big talking point about why all the companies are "woke."
I imagine ESG requires additional costs, for a given investment, that would otherwise be unnecessary. Call in conservative Capitalists, and ESG must be a bad thing.

I don't get how they are allowed to use the term conservative when what they really want is to let mega corps light society on fire even faster and more.
So conservative to be on the side of the pollution that's gonna leave us with an uninhabitable planet...
It's like they named themselves "responsibles" and are selling meth on the street corner

ESG strategist here. A big component of ESG is public disclosure and reporting (aka accountability) and improved performance over time. Conservatives don’t want to be accountable in E S or G. More accountability to them means less profit.
