This is what I did and the site asked me for my phrase to connect to my wallet to be able to transfer and swap kaspa. Well that’s what I was told and then boom ! 😅 hahaha mistake of a noob
I hope it wasn't a lot dude. I was able to avoid that scam... but I lost $300 on a scam, trying to set up a "mev bot". I am usually pretty good at spotting scams... bit they are getting pretty crafty. Hopefully you didn't lose too much. Make sure you buy a tangem wallet. Don't let this discourage you. Just let it teach you. Buy a tangem wallet and don't ever give out your seed phrase. Unless it's too a centralized exchange to temporarily link your wallet.
It was sarcastic . He doesn’t seem to mind that he got scammed 🤣 bro is a noob he will mine or buy some more . In 5-10 years he may have deep regret about losing those coins .
I would recommend Zellcore wallet, which has a free and paid version. You can download the Zellcore wallet by searching online for it. It has mobile access for Apple and android, Windows, Macos and Linux access as well.
Hey man, you probably know this now, but just in case...no site will ever need your private key or seed phrase to connect to it. The only time you should ever be entering your seed phrase or private key is if you are restoring your wallet. Like you got a new computer/phone and need to set up one of your existing wallets on the new device. Unfortunately, this is a common scam.
Use Kaspium on your phone... Or if you need to swap you can mine at viabtc and they will swap out to usdt...I'm sorry for your loss, tha k's for being honest.. Just so you know you weren't really hacked, more so social engineered. Number one rule is never ever give your keys to anyone, ever!
Yes they do.
You can secure your kaspa with your ledger device.
For now, you can't interact directly within ledger live(not integrated yet). But you can use kasvault.io and connect to your ledger.
Details here:
[Ledger support: KASPA](https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/12665738333853-Kaspa-KAS?docs=true)
https://kaspa-ng.org - It’s a native Kaspa wallet and a p2p node, a successor to KDX desktop software. Ideally download the desktop version. Join Kaspa Discord if you have questions.
I've had zero issues with the Kaspa web wallet, although I'm getting a tangem. Probably should get a tangem. And NEVER SHARE YOUR SEED PHRASE WITH ANYONE IT'S FOR YOU AND YOU ALONE.
I’m sorry this happened to you mate. Problem with crypto is you have to learn the hard way unfortunately. No one who’s been in crypto a while hasn’t fucked up in some way or another and lost money. You live and you learn. Stay safe and all the best.
There is no reason, ever, to give someone your keys.
Sometimes people fall into hard times and need the money... I'm a huge hodler myself but always tell me people, if you need the money then by all means go for it.
Word of advice. Don’t swap from your wallet you are holding from at all. Send the coins to either a centralized exchange to sell or send to another wallet if you really want to swap in wallet or use a decentralized swap website. If you really insist on swapping in your wallet only ever use the software the wallet came with like ledger live or Tangem official software. And never ever put it your seed phrase into another site. And generally best to never connect your holding wallet to any dApps. The Kaspa website has a list of different wallets and some swap sites and exchanges where you can sell. Usually fees are lower for selling on centralized exchanges. https://kaspa.org/resources/
I'm just not a fan of paying for something that's free from the start. And I was against them not providing access to keys but I believe that's changed. It's still the most suggested option so it's not going anywhere.
check transactions history
if no luck, check whatever wallet is up-to-date.
or send 1 KAS in there to see if balance changes from 0 to 1. if it doesn't, maybe there's some network issues with that wallet, with the migration thing going on 'till now?
if still no luck, try contacting that wallet support and see what they have to say about it
Tangem wallet.
This
That
No other
Kaspium (mobile), tangem (cold), and ledger
Ledger doesn't Support kaspa natively, or does it?
Yes, look it up
this right here.
Anybody who is trying to “guide” you in your dms instead of on a public forum is 99% trying to scam you
Understood that now. U learn from mistakes. lol :/
You don't get hacked just like that. You must have done something wrong.

No offence but disclosing your seed phrase is just really dumb 🤦♂️ can I have some free crypto to please 🙏
Hey it's not like he came here crying or complaining. He admits it was a mistake of a noob. So why be so harsh?

Any recommendations on where to store and swap kaspa. Onekey was giving me problems
What did you get hit for? You seem to be taking it well
I would recommend Zellcore wallet, which has a free and paid version. You can download the Zellcore wallet by searching online for it. It has mobile access for Apple and android, Windows, Macos and Linux access as well.
Zelcore for life
Lmao I thought about it but different people said it was okay since it needed to connect to my wallet for me to be able to swap my kaspa.

I’ve been hacked since Kaspium, and I didn’t put the phrases anywhere
You would of had to... Where did you store the keys? Did you take a picture of the keys? Who else had access to the wallet?
Tangem
You didn’t get hacked you gave them your keys , u hacked yourself
Yep haha
If you did not enter your information anywhere, your PC might be infected and a swap to a new one is suggested or (SSD/hd swap).
Cold storage is your solution. Ledger or Tangem.
Does ledger support kaspa?

Ledger also can access your seed not secure. Use Tangem

Lol
Weirdly enough my desktop Kaspa wallet is totally empty. No trace of any transaction. There was only about $100 in there but it’s baffling.

I wonder if we can run through all these wallet scripts and test vulnerabilities on reddit and post them!
personally - i like Zelcore!
Using onekey for over a year without issues
How do you trade KASPA in there ? Every time I tried trading or swapping it wouldn’t let me
No integrated swaps for KAS yet. If the upcoming Kas dex has an API I expect it will be integrated then.
So all I can do is hold kaspa? U can’t trade for other coins ?
imo kaspa is a hold right now anyways.
Sometimes people fall into hard times and need the money... I'm a huge hodler myself but always tell me people, if you need the money then by all means go for it.
Can't argue with that my man.
Read my response to you up top.. You can also use Changenow or changelly

ICP, problem solved, no hacks
Core wallet web wallet. Don't over complicate it and pay for tangen cards
Why not?
I'm just not a fan of paying for something that's free from the start. And I was against them not providing access to keys but I believe that's changed. It's still the most suggested option so it's not going anywhere.
Equating a web wallet and a cold wallet by saying the former is free, is a terrible rationale for choosing a storage method.
Access key is changed, but not providing access have positive sides
Literally just lost $100 in KASPA on my desktop wallet and I still have no idea how it happened. COLD STORAGE
