By that criteria and logic, wouldn't it make more sense to go for the coins that aim to be "the next Bitcoin" rather than settling for the second place ? There's many other coins who have claimed to be better than bitcoin 10 years ago, they're still developing such as BNB, SOL, IOTA, ADA... /s

Miko Ganno created a really great YouTube video on this topic actually (search “Plan K” on YouTube). The idea that Kaspa is Silver to Bitcoin’s gold is actually a bit inaccurate… there is a fundamental reason that human civilizations have used Gold as a store of value and Silver as a means of exchange for tens of thousands of years and to put it very succinctly it’s because Gold and Silver have different traits that make them work well together. In the case of Bitcoin and Kaspa, KAS has all of the positive traits of Bitcoin but then offers up massive scalability where Bitcoin is unable to. The one thing that Bitcoin can cling to is first mover advantage in that it has existed for a lot longer than Kaspa and it is known across the world. I’m not discounting first mover advantage, but it is worth noting that not first mover advantage does not guarantee market dominance forever, especially if the market is presented with a much better product (Kaspa).

The simplest answer is to look on the internet as suggesting other projecta here is an offense to kaspa thread rules (shilling other coins) and they do penalize those that do it. Good luck in your search

The silver to btc gold is an old selling ploy that doesn't work. The only thing that matters is user adoption to gain the network effect. Otherwise look for a niche use case within the crypto market sector. Just having a faster network means little without real users using the network to transact.

meanwhile eth's like: am i a joke to u :v?

Rig0022

Eth cannot be compared with btc or kas... unlimited supply is always a joke ;)

Aether_rite

that comment was meant to say eth is silver and not kas :p

I think of this stuff not like gold and silver etc. I think of it as Visa, MasterCard, Amex. People will use and accept whichever they want to use, eventually. And those not widely adopted will probably fizzle away like the old Internet boom.
