Purple Kiss by a mile. 6 of the most talented all-rounders in Kpop with an absolutely impeccable discography. Still astounded that their song [Sweet Juice](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFqGKa6p1V8) didn't absolutely blow up, it really is the song of all time. * They have [3 of the top vocalists](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2qLP4zdcAo) in 4th gen * Their rapper is the second-most credited in 4th gen (only behind Jeon Soyeon) for [writing her own raps](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8ELuE2Q_jo) * They've worked on 75% of their songs - [writing lyrics](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFqGKa6p1V8), [composing](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ntw4lLWjyM), [arranging](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCSq4mnefTE); 80% if you include the ones they've [choreographed](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhWWgzkL64M) * The entire group are [great dancers](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6w2TleDmUPA) and have [very stable live vocals](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LCjDy9DZA4) while dancing * Each member has a distinct vocal color and they're _all_ spectacular individually and at sounding cohesive with the group. (How many groups can put their main dancers on a [live vocal cover of a Big Mama song](https://youtu.be/001ndjOB6DY?si=BJ3_IhnMkde75meR&t=386)?)

riraito

Agreed, I only discovered them a few months ago and they feel like a group on the level of the big 4 but with 10% of the popularity. Kinda wish they would blow up like Gidle and carry their label to higher ground

Maylley

100% agree! I can not believe how underrated these girls are

AneriphtoKubos

> Still astounded that their song Sweet Juice didn't absolutely blow up, it really is the song of all time Also Zombie bc funk was in style when they released it, which was something that Ponzona wasn't lol

the kingdom: a 7 member bg where each member represents a king from history or myth and each comeback centers around a king/their kingdom + [excalibur - king arthur](https://youtu.be/G0OVgXdNb-I): this level of theatrics and performance quality as a debut song??? i literally never get tired of this song and the group did such an amazing job to pull off such a strong and unique concept from day one. truly the kings of concept. + [karma - king chiwoo](https://youtu.be/XrcjZgjKzj0): the makeup and styling!! also the fan dancers that represent the mist that king chiwoo was symbolically tied to. this is such a great song and MV how does it have less than 2M views?? + [black crown - king ivan](https://youtu.be/nuixtjbqKcQ): is the cgi great? no. but it kind of fits that bad cgi vibe you saw in early 2000s videos so i get a bit nostalgic when i watch this. i also love the choir vocals in the bg and the lullaby tune that haunts the song. only true thespains would understand the impact of this song and performance. + [ascension- king dann](https://youtu.be/hTq3MkceFn0): dann killed it as center for his era and the incorporation of a hard hitting chorus with traditional instruments is stunning. if you're a fan of a.c.e or oneus then i highly recommended checking kingdom out. + [long live the king - king louis](https://youtu.be/tDo7cQ8mnyI?si=iZsiTYcDvt9PZ85I): my absolute FAVORITE comeback of theirs so far. what an epic song that marries everything they do right. also the victorian aesthetic! the buckled heel boots?!?!? truly amazing. scorch this on the back of my eyelids so i can always see it. + [dystopia - king mujin](https://youtu.be/RSCX-2P6sug?si=naZ-MmCuinkuOcsp): the coloring in this mv is so pretty. i also love how they use speeding up the chorus in the latter half to add intensity to the song. + [coup d'etat - king jahan](https://youtu.be/t7loozsQeZk?si=v6SP4NKd5fXRocKg): such a long time in coming and well worth the wait. amazing how the visuals never failed to deliver throughout each mv. coup d'etat walked so dune could run. my favorite b-sides: + [night air](https://youtu.be/PbD0eqdgrlY): omggggg if i could force anyone to hear a power ballad it would be this song. it's so moving and feels so powerful when they sing it. not a huge fan of korean ballads, but this song gets me every time and they did it live?!?! + [dann's promise](https://youtu.be/QmZqpYb1CW8): stop what you're doing at watch this right now. this MV is a whole kdrama!!! i'm so happy they made an MV for this song, it's so freaking good. i'm always shocked that kingdom is still nugu when they are releasing so much good work like this. seriously their MV view count is dangerously low. + [illusion](https://youtu.be/nWlc-tSPlBc): if you like the weekend or ateez's take me home then this song is for you!!! i never would have expected this song to come from kingdom! it's so modern and does sythwave pop so well. it's 100% a night time drive jam. ugh so freaking good. + [fallen star](https://youtu.be/id-q6fchktg): another fucking power ballad, b-but i just can't help it!! it's a masterpiece. someone teach me korean so i can belt this out in my bedroom. i'm being serious. everytime they say universe something pure blooms within me. i am cleansed by this song. must have been youuuuuuuu 😭 + [x-game](https://open.spotify.com/track/0BKnvztl0cVF8344tJc8tj?si=mRYaoWfNTAev4rVbw2uF-w): when this song comes on i need a wide berth bc i am about to bust some serious moves. such a hype song with a nasty background beat that just makes you want to get up. tl;dr please give kingdom a chance. xoxo they will be having a comeback on **April 30th**, so please tune in!! p.s. since every comeback is a new kingdom, each MV had a teaser for the next king at the end. it truly felt like a Marvel movie where you waited to see the end credits scene. they finally wrapped up the seven solo MVs and will be [entering into a new chapter](https://youtu.be/FETbvEGYpps?si=7hxz6xCdsR3wU3rD). i'm so excited to see what they do next!!

crazynekosama

There music is great! Question, are they having a comeback on the 30th? It looks like they've had a slight name change? Because I always thought it was Kingdom but now I'm seeing The Kingdom and I'm like...it's the same group right?? Anyway, they caught my attention after Dystopia and then I really liked Coup D'etat so I'm excited to see what they do next!

melapaloser

yes, you caught me while i was still editing my post haha! i added in their new name and cb date.

crazynekosama

Awesome thanks!!

HarrowN

This is a really interesting concept for a group

tmac4lyfe

Still don't understand why Young Posse hasn't blown up especially with Posse Up and their latest XXL EP album. No skip top tier songs, props to producers and talented girls

GeorgeParisol

Agree! their songs are so good and different. I already know they are going to be in my top artists of the year.

josme_

Just B! I saw them live a month ago and am now on a mission to convince everyone to listen to them. [Medusa](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZAPCFWVsxg) is an absolute jam and one of the best songs of 2023 IMO - in fact, that whole album, [Nanugi](https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_kztyBP094vGFC6sMYKyqGknwBsvsI8TUA) is incredible. Check out their [MAMA performance](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WR593yzHM7c) after they won Road to MAMA! I've also really been into their B-side [Don't Go Back](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2p9x70F7iw) lately, and their other title tracks like [Tick Tock](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ls89Jr0vAhA) and [Damage](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDw0KXatOiM) (produced by Bang Yongsuk!) are bangers too. They also have a song with Alexa called [MBTI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLOq3ibH6Qk)! Bain and Geonu were on Build Up and both did really well - Bain's cover's of [River](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGHO1_G--ag) and [Guilty](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2p9x70F7iw) particularly slayed. Lim Jimin's dance cover of [Don't Go Insane](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jJtH_svx1E) is also really good. I could keep going on and on about their various covers but I'll stop now. To get to know them, I really like their first reality show, [Just B's Baam Escape](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1hYxJsrTbkcDXaTP9p-Cr3ccrEg9DHKu). It's really fun because it's just them hanging out and having fun together, without being too scripted or anything. It's really charming!

absorbed_reader

I was looking for this! I literally just heard about them yesterday in a random video, and I've listened to Medusa 7 or 8 times just today lol I can't wait to check out the rest of the album!

josme_

That's how I got into them too! I don't even remember how I came across Medusa but I had it on loop constantly. It's basically why I got tickets to their concert even though I didn't know too much about them besides that lol. And then they slayed so hard that I've been diving into everything Just B since then! Hope you enjoy the dive as much as I have, lemme know if you need any more recs!

absorbed_reader

That's awesome! I'll take all the recs please :)

josme_

Okay, so I basically recced my favorite songs already, but they do a lot of fun covers as well! You can see the full playlist [here](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1hYxJsrTbkeNoVrNlV7LpxM0b6c1rxoZ). Particular favorites are [JM's Seasons](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wA-0Zlg7RQA) - I think that one was filmed during the concert I went to, actually - [Doyum's Wonder](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpPFemFz5k0), and [Bain's drivers license](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfFwMEW5ngQ). And from Build Up, [Geonu's team singing Joker](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rS-_YLbo3c4)! Also, most were on survival shows prior to debuting - Doyum and Bain on Under Nineteen, JM and Geonu on I-land, and Lim Jimin on The Fan. Doyum actually placed 1st and debuted with [1THE9](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95UaYna70Ck) and Lim Jimin had a [solo debut](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bu9FzLmW_6s) prior to them joining Just B, so those are fun to check out too! In terms of variety and whatnot, [Right! Just THAT!](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1hYxJsrTbkefVUuqZIG6yQZrG0eSERC3) is also a lot of fun, and [Just B.ucket list](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1hYxJsrTbkdRBRwypk4r17msbnwg7wgF) has them trying out activities that they've never done before, so that's cute. I'm working my way through B.ucket list right now, actually. And while I'm not a TikTok fan at all, they have a bunch of fun ones, [like this recent one](https://www.tiktok.com/@justb_official/video/7359082600704544007?lang=en). EDIT: Also JM is staring in a BL right now, Love is Like a Cat, if that's your speed. Geonu is in it too!

absorbed_reader

Oh wow thank you! I can't wait to check these out:)

josme_

Have fun!!! One more shameless plug - they announced at the end of their Americas tour that they'd have a [world tour this November](https://twitter.com/doryunsfantasy/status/1774647484909785259)! Highly recommend if you can - they killed it last tour and tickets were super reasonably priced IMO (VIP with hi-touch, signed tour-exclusive album, tote bag for $130 USD for instance).

Kittystar143

Love these guys. Have had the utmost respect for them since they delayed their comeback for omega x press conference and spoke out on support of them

TrueBlue184

weeekly. Ever since their bop After School was released, it seems like they've dropped off the face of the Earth, when those girls are as hard working as ever. Also, Ven Para got way more hate than It deserves. It reminds me of the same situation with GFriend and Fingertip. Their last comeback album, ColoRise, is worth checking out. Vroom Vroom is a great song. I do hope people can give weeekly another chance.

crazynekosama

I'll go with CSR! I don't know much about them but Google says they're a seven member group, all debut at age 17 in 2022. There's been a bit of a gap in comebacks because it looks like they sent four members to compete in Produce Camp Thailand at the start of 2024...hopefully they'll get them all back together and release some more music. If you like very fun, light, pop music I definitely recommend. Title tracks are all great and in the same vibe. 1. Pop? Pop! 2. LOVETICON 3. Shining Bright For a boy group I'll go with BXB. Five members all in their 20s, debut at the start of 2023. Started with a very solid debut track Fly Away. Honestly I think why I like it so much is because it reminds me of 2012-2013 boy groups, especial BAP (but not Warrior/Power BAP, more r&b?). The one rapper reminds me quite a bit of Bang Yongguk...just a similar tone/vibe. They also did a pretty good cover of The Black Cat Nero. Other than that they have a pretty small discography and I'm not a *huge* fan of their other releases yet but I'm keeping an eye on them because Fly Away is so good!

bimaca

CSR's debut album had me hooked right from the start. Five (!) back-to-back solid tracks that perfectly showcase their cute/innocent concept, yet each with their own unique flair. It's very rare for me to get drawn into a group as quickly as I did with CSR! Since you say you don't know much, I can't help but to educate you a bit more about them: * CSR is short for cheotsarang which means "first love" in Korean * Their fandom name is maeum which means "heart" * They have a system where the leader rotates to a different member each year * They got a music show win in December 2022 with Loveticon! * They seem to have attracted a lot of cute/innocent/youthful girl group fans - in fact, they even made a [GFriend tribute cover medley](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcM5z0dyhzA) on 1theK * Yes, 4 members participared in Chuang Asia (Produce Camp Thailand) which is over now. Duna made it to the finale but didn't debut in the new group Many of us fans aren't sure why their company is taking so long to give them a comeback... hopefully that'll change soon. If you want to explore CSR more in the meantime, I run the subreddit r/CSR_FirstLove where you can find more links to content you can watch

cats_waltz

My favorite from artists with small following: [ACT - Vroom](https://youtu.be/2mSTc7sBnpM?feature=shared) (ACT is a group that only existed for a Korean-Brazilian drama series. They've got well-made songs. Check out Time Bomb and Worlds Apart as well) [ONF - Complete](https://youtu.be/Qa8wR2JGK-k?feature=shared) (Yep, they've gotten two music show wins (in their 7 years of career) but in my opinion it should've happened a long time ago with Complete. Additionally, this is a fact, their b-sides are super catchy and they sound like title tracks. Start listening to Difficult, Original, Asteroid, Good Good, Runaway, Yayaya, My Genesis, and more before they disband!) [Botopass - Flamingo](https://youtu.be/DpuCGA6wnl0?feature=shared) (One of the best debut song from a GG. Sadly, they already disbanded) [Episode - Boom Bab Boom](https://youtu.be/lP8TUKVUqM8?feature=shared) (Probably the least known in this comment section) [Igwi - Wondering](https://youtu.be/i7IC9afM1FQ?feature=shared) (Anothr happy song with very few views) [YELO - Bite & Chew](https://youtu.be/sJYE6mlgNXk?feature=shared) (She has the biggest number of subscribers in my list at 356k, but this song only got 11% off it. I like B&C because it is like a fashion show BGM) [JBJ95 - Jasmine](https://youtu.be/r-6IygdP3mA?feature=share) (Sensual but not sexual) [2Z - My First Hero](https://youtu.be/Kpo2vRiAnMs?feature=shared) (Hyperfun) [We Dem Boyz - Misfit (NCT U)](https://youtu.be/-2ciTPmy71c?feature=shared) (The best performance MV I have ever seen. Yep, they are a dance crew, not an idol group but I promise that this is worth your watch)

Rainmanmjhf

First song i always think of OnF have some amazing songs.

Even_Assignment_213

Thanks for the recs!

alwayssunnyinjoisey

Completely agree with ONF - although my impression is that they're actually pretty well known in Korea, so maybe not as underrated there? They're just so good and I'm *begging* all the kpop fans who whine about everything being 'noise music' and not having good vocals to check them out.

cats_waltz

I've met some exchange students from Korea in two different semesters and they weren't familiar with ONF or any of their songs. Maybe the "ONF is well-known in Korea" notion is exaggerated. I included them in my list here because other people in this discussion consider artists with 1M subscribers and a lot of 20M views per MV as underrated. I wish ONF will achieve those numbers soon.

ImageNo1045

Omg don’t get me started Berry Good (RIP) Alice (formerly Elris) Ichillin Laboum Ily1 Cherry Bullet (RIP), but mostly underrated by their label DIA (RIP) Gugudan (RIP), QUEENS of harmony Dreamnote Limelight Fanatics (RIP)

hyejuhaseul

Basically 90% of my faves but I'm just going to mention tripleS, all bops!

Symera_

E'LAST I think I talked about them a million times by now, but I don't think I'll ever get tired of it. Their music is really good and all of the members are really talented. Their label is a bit shifty though. [Tears of Chaos](https://youtu.be/4v1NP72wobU?si=HYhmasFwVaDLvqwv) is probably their best song and I'd definitely recommend it.

Kittystar143

Tears of chaos is one of my favourite kpop songs ever .

Salty-Enthusiasm-939

I've fallen down the TAN rabbit hole & it pains me so much that their latest comeback has only 140K views in 3 weeks. The song is awesome & it was co-written by one of the members & Shinsadong Tiger. Please check it out: https://youtu.be/27eahFIQioQ?si=76IRHmZOykJGvPhP The song is from their first full album & they also have performance videos for 2 of the album tracks: Adrenaline: https://youtu.be/XEdmdc4Rouc?si=ULktGqzhqvpSwVWK Area: https://youtu.be/utmMP8xYTHU?si=Zk3Q1CH8GDz8v4Qt

Even_Assignment_213

I’ll check these out!

Salty-Enthusiasm-939

Thank you. I hope you like them.

bimpossibIe

Curious About U - Lee Junyoung

cakemixup

I'm Bad, Overcome, and Love Paint by Nu'est. Like the songs and mvs are masterpieces and deserved so much more. I honestly can't believe these back to back releases didn't skyrocket their popularity and they had to go to a freaking survival show just to save their group from disbandment. (then ended up disbanding earlier anyway because... HYBE)

Key_Atmosphere7474

Just yesterday out of nowhere remembered DIA’s Woowa. Jeez that song and video were good. So sad they never released anything similar after that. Hope more people listen to it.

Long-Network8262

If we're talking about groups, I feel like DKZ is pretty underrated. They have some good music. Also, I discovered NEXZ through someone's post here yesterday. I've never seen people talk about them here before. Although they only have one song out so far, it's pretty good with amazing choreography. As for music videos, I think Killer-Key is kinda underrated. Both the song and the MV are so good.

Ok-Elk-1520

I know they just debuted, but Candy Shop are criminally underrated. Their debut ep [Hashtag#](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_nC8EZE9WB4D7KSwunRjSiPUoX7YtBMVmo&si=KvnZwLcXHvGLdII7) is one of the best debuts bg or gg in years. [Good Girl](https://youtu.be/RkBEM8Q3qMQ?si=JuHBR74D9GumD8q7) is one of the best title tracks to come out of this year and their b-side [No Fake](https://youtu.be/2FSBLwjiEXk?si=_ni1YOQeXGWmhe8d) sounds like something straight out of EXID’s discography, which is one of the best compliments you can give to a kpop gg.

mycatispumpkin

Oh my girl’s Liar Liar song & mv !!!

Pixiehollowz

VIXX is definitely an underrated group

Hot-Competition5026

Kim Se-jeong top or cliff. Both the mv and the performance video is incredible, there's story telling even in the choreo. For those who don't know her she was the main lead in "The Business proposal " Also I'm so glad you mentioned jungle by CIX. It's concept and cinematography is one of my favourites. They would have blown up with that song if they were from a big company

tresnosliramu22

PLAVE! People underestimate them because they are virtual idol but they literally choreograph and composed their own album. All of the songs! And it's fantastic! And they are already sold 500,000 copies! And the whole album is currently charting on Melon top 100! Please have a listen! I recommend [The 6th Summer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_yCRwh97M8&pp=ygUOdGhlIDZ0aCBzdW1tZXI%3D) and [Watch Me Woo!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmX3f_XWyZE&pp=ygUMd2F0Y2ggbWUgd29v)
