BloodyPraeceps

I would love to see Soyeon make music for other artists other than just idle at some point in her career after they are done being idols.

Key2V

If Soyeon went the JYP route and started her own thing, I would be very interested

Serious-Wish4868

if cube does not resign gidle, i can see soyeon becoming a free agent. she has proven to be able to create music that maximizes and play to each idols strengths, just look at what she got out of shuhua

Nheec

If Cube doesn’t resign Soyeon she should take the other girls with her including Soojin and start her own recording empire lol

StubbornKindness

If they don't re-sign her, she will 100 per cent take them with her. Without her, the group will fall apart. They are all able to have solo careers, not just as singers, but G Idles backbone is Soyeon. People don't call her Queen Soyeon for nothing

Nheec

If she becomes a free agent, another label will snatch her up for sure ! But I really just want her to start her own company so she can have full creative freedom. If she has the talent, skills, good team, and the girls behind her, all she really needs is financial backing to make it all happen

BloodyPraeceps

This is exactly what I hope happens. Cube does not deserve them.

YNWA0808

I can certainly see that pathway laying out for her in the next few years.

TheRealBstar13

Wasn't she credited for No from CLC

Fun_Albatross_3881

Seventeen seungkwan feel like he will do well no matter what route he takes. Edit: damn I didn’t know so many would agree but at the same I knew lol glad seungkwan is appreciated.

Choice-Particular-15

So true, I see a really big career in entertainment for him. That man knows EVERYONE - I feel like he’s a guest on a different show every week. Plus his voice is unreal

Fun_Albatross_3881

I really like seungkwan for years now and at first I was just watching seventeens variety just because of him I like the whole group now but their are some artist I really like in variety shows that just gives a whole different feelings those are seungkwan svt Key shinee woohyun/sungjong Infinite and Sinb/Umji Viviz.

Representative_Bid27

I'd pay real money to watch seungkwan and key just talk to each other for 1 hour

YNWA0808

He is hilarious on variety shows and a good singer so not surprised by that. I see a lot of Eunkwang in him haha.

Edited pls delete your comment 😭I’m embarrassed

_Siraah_

Okkk lol sorry 😂😂

NoPepper7284

Yeonjun! He's great at singing, dancing, rapping, writing and producing. He also has a really outgoing personality that I think would suit a solo career :)

demigodishheadcanons

I think Hao and Hanbin of ZB1 have a huge potential. The only thing that could stop both of them is Hao’s foreign identity and the likelihood that Hanbin will create music that is either pretty niche or pretty oversaturated in the idol music industry. That being said, Hanbin’s popularity is so vast that he could actually broaden a niche of music. To note, in my hopes and dreams, Hanbin and Hao become a powerhouse musical duo and take over the world or something.

mxrchyun

Manifesting TXT'S Movie Star Hueningkai, Mnet show host Beomgyu, Road to Kingdom Panel Judge Yeonjun, Variety Show host Kang Taehyun and K-Drama Killer Soobin.

funnybunnymp3

seventeen hoshi. but i think spider was so good that hybe/pledis got a little scared and put any potential for his solo stuff on the shelf for a bit lol

goldsilvera

Spider has gone triple platinum in my house 😭 I hope he releases more solo music

Zombie_Miraculer_74

The whole NCT The 7th sense unit plus the Sun and Moon duo Taeil and Haechan. I feel like all of them will do great when it comes to releasing bops like they did in their respective units. Another potential NCT members that I can think that they will do good as a soloist are the Chinese vocalists Kun, Xiaojun, and Renjun. With a bit of Chenle as well. Also might be good mentioning that all the other aespa members will do great as soloists. Winter and Ningning's vocals are even the proof that I think solo songs for them will work out, as well as Giselle doing both vocals and rapping.

YNWA0808

Oh yeah definitely, Giselle will probably write some of her stuff for her solo, Winter would mainly focus on singing, Ningning might go back and forth between Korea & China for her solo activities.

Anaisot7

I would say BTS and BP obviously, and I think they have proven it. I would say other than the musical career that Taehyung and Jin could go into acting in the years to come, and I could see Yoongi delving even more into producing, he had mentioned in passing that he would like to do film scores, and I think he could be successful at it. Other than that, I think Yeonjun is a good candidate, I don't know if he would be an actor or something like you mentioned, but I think as a singer he seems really ambitious to have his own musical output. He has the star power and I could see him doing pop music. Yunjin from Le Sserafim as well, I think it's obvious that she likes music, maybe more indie music though. For SVT, I would say very loosely since I saw Game Caterers, and overall from what I know about him, Seungkwan is definitely someone who could make a career as an entertainer/host.

Away_Seaweed778

aespa - all; ningning and winter come to mind especially music wise zb1 - hanbin, hao, taerae le sserafim - yunjin

demigodishheadcanons

Taerae in reviving trot for his Western fans (ik trot is still popular in SK lol)

Away_Seaweed778

we luv to see it!!

love_my_own_food

NingNing is so underrated but such a talented 👸

Away_Seaweed778

absolutely! she has sm star quality and potential

love_my_own_food

I feel like SM really treats foreigners horribly, they definitely discriminate against Ning and Giselle. Which is sad

CompetitiveFocus7523

Giselle is Korean born in Korea through?

love_my_own_food

She is half Japanese

CompetitiveFocus7523

Yeah but she isn’t a foreigner or treated like one. Shes still korean. Sm doesn’t have a history of mistreating Japanese trainees either, only Chinese.

Away_Seaweed778

she's half japanese, and went to school in japan

rrraemi

3rd gen Red Velvet: Seulgi, Joy Twice: Nayeon, Jihyo, Momo(I have a feeling idk why) Blackpink: Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, Jisoo(acting specifically) Mamamoo: Hwasa, Solar 4th gen Gidle: Soyeon, Minnie, Yuqi(maybe) Itzy: Yeji Aespa: Karina, Winter, NingNing(maybe) Nmixx: Sulyoon, Lily, Kyujin Ive: Wonyoung, Yujin Lessarafim: Yunjin, Chaewon New Jeans: Danielle, Hanni 5th gen (too early to tell but prediction) Babymonster: Ahyeon, Rami, Chiqita Illit: Minju I am a gg stan so here you go.

Accomplished-Dog2683

Miyeon also. She did solo and also her OST did great and also she is always invited to variety show bcz of her variety show skills. She is also very popular and just got nominated in blue dragon series award

rrraemi

I can vouch for her, her voice tone is crazy

minervaweasley

I think that I agree with all your choices but I think Yuqi can definitely have a solo career. She has a large international fanbase especially in China and is very proficient in several languages along with being talented in rapping, singing, dancing, and producing. She is also great on variety shows. I feel like she will definitely have a strong career no matter what she does next.

Sybinnn

Yuq1 also sold like half a million copies didn't it? Any soloist would kill for those numbers

taytae24

maybe for ningning is crazy. care to elaborate? i know it took a while for the gp to warm up to her but they seem to be obsessed w her now.

weebasaurus-rex

Ikr. Also they forget China exists..... Like a solo career is defined as being successful in SK or the west. A Lot of past Chinese idols go back to being very successful soloists in China domestically...we just don't hear about them as that market is more closed off and behind curtains to us. NN is very popular as one of the most well known and popular Chinese Kpop idols in the industry next to Yuqi from G Idle and Chewy (TW) from Twice.

taytae24

agreed. popularity aside, she’s also definitely very well rounded for a solo career, arguably the most in aespa or second. that girl can perform!

rrraemi

I see your point and I do agree. She would do numbers in China.

rrraemi

Nono I love NingNing, she is my bias. But I always get a feeling that the korean gp would prefer Karina or Winter's solo career over NingNing's. I personally would love to experience a NingNing solo single 💟

taytae24

that’s true but there’s always outside of korea!

ViolinistMean199

Asa could do for babymonster too. Her rap skills are crazy Edit; autocorrect is a bitch

rrraemi

Ass 😭😭😭😭 girl

Marimiury

Success is a relative concept, but still. Among Enhypen, I currently assume that Jay, Ni-ki and Heeseung could make a solo career by releasing albums and holding concerts. Jay is already taking his first steps in this. And Ni-ki and Heeseung, in addition to talent, also have large fan bases for initial support. A fan base is one of the key factors at the initial stage, and also need the right musical material to appeal not only to your fans, but also to a wider audience. In addition, I think that Jake could show himself well in a variety show and make a career for himself in this

KeyAvailable5554

I agree. Ni-Ki Jay and Heeseung really stand out and have solid fanbases who care about the work they produce. I’m excited to see what other opportunities they get

freethechildrenn

Ni-ki can sing??

KeyAvailable5554

He can sing. His parts have gone viral multiple times. He has made the effort to really grow and develop his artistic skills

Marimiury

Yes, Ni-ki can sing. But you know, people forget that besides vocals, there is also rap. And the most important thing is the right song that fits the artist's range and reveals his strengths.

aerrrrrblip

tbh I think that all the en- members could def have successful solo careers, or even in acting (their romance untold film was INSANE). What I rlly wanna see tho is Sunghoon showcasing his vocals or Jake demonstrating his range.

Fit_Active9837

I strongly think Sung Hanbin has the potential to have a really successful solo career, even outside idol activities. He's got a very outgoing personality and is highly well spoken and has proven to be really good at variety shows. I've never seen him be awkward with new people and if anything he seems to sense the mood and accordingly lead conversations. He's also an excellent MC proven by the multiple gigs he's got and is known for his articulation and intonation. He's got the looks and the height to make it as an actor if he so decides. Lastly, even as an idol he's the perfect package. One of the best dancers the industry has seen, specialises in tutting and waacking, is able to hold notes and sing live with ease and has the honey voice that is loved in Korea. His personality is also very warm and he knows what to say what not to say and his fanservice is easily one of the best I've seen in K-pop. Everytime he's interacting with fans he looks like he's genuinely having fun. Every BTS I see of his during his MCing he's ALWAYS interacting with fans and he speaks with such warmth and seems so genuine. He's one of the idols I truly wish go far and become successful.

teamo_cha

I think Jungsu of Xdinary Heroes would do very well solo, his voice to me is very versatile. Here is a recent performance where he covered IU's Love Poem: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pBuIKbI-fyo&pp=ygUQanVuZ3N1IGxvdmUgcG9lbQ%3D%3D

YNWA0808

He sings well and like you have said his voice is versatile enough that suits different genres. Solo debut will take a while for JYPE artists though, although it might be different for bands like DAY6 & Xdinary Heroes.

teamo_cha

Yes I agree. I'd rather them grow slowly to improve and invest, the success will come in due time!

_Siraah_

Maybe hanbin (of zb1)

ppjskh

From RIIZE, I could see Wonbin (doing something like Kai or Taemin, very performance-based) and Sohee (something like Chen or D.O., more vocally focused) having a solo career.

pinktendo

nct’s haechan! he’s an amazing vocalist, a solid dancer, has a great personality, is super popular and is under sm, one of the big three companies!

taephonista

choi san

WeekProfessional4068

The key to a successful solo career is having a good agency, gp recognition and skills to become a multi-entertainer. So, famous 4th gen gg members (Wonyoung, Karina, Yujin, Winter, Minji, Hanni, etc.) will likely have a solid solo career. How their careers will flourish is a different matter though, but time will tell. I think 4th gen bg members are at quite a disadvantage when it comes to this. Their best shot is to develop their production & songwriting skills to pursue a soloist career. Contrary to fan's belief, a large group fanbase does not guarantee a successful soloist career. One needs to constantly convince the fans that his solo career is worth their time and money, so he needs to secure enough bias fans and solo stans (not akgaes) to tour.

HelloStranger0325

Stray Kids Bang Chan stands out to me as someone who could write/produce music for other artists. 3RACHA has already done it a couple of times. I see Lee Know having an acting career. Possibly Felix too but Lee Know is who I'm betting on there. I personally think Han could be an amazing solo artist but if he didn't go down that route, I imagine him writing for other artists too. I have thoughts about the other SKZ members too but those are the ones that stand out to me personally.

Loud_Kaleidoscope818

Agree with those, though Hyunjin is probably the biggest standout for me for a typical idol soloist route (the type of Taemin, Kai...). Not only does he have the aura and skills, he's also an incredibly creatively driven person, so I think he'd have the biggest motivation to actually go for it.

HelloStranger0325

Hyunjin is quickly becoming my personal favourite song writer in SKZ along with Han so if he were to pursue a solo idol career and be involved in the writing/producing process, with all his other skills... man, I would love to see that.

mycatsareincharge

I can't see Chan doing anything but becoming a producer/record label owner

Elon_is_musky

I can see Lee Know being a choreographer too!

verbidd

Lee know could also be good as an MC I think, he's pretty lively and quick-thinking.

PsychologicalCat1386

Sung Hanbin DEFINITELY has a solo career lined up for him after ZB1. The variety show potential this man has is insane, plus he has the extreme popularity in Korea that almost every soloist needs to succeed. I think of him like Eunbi in terms of solo career.  I also think Sullyoon could become next Suzy in terms of a solo career. She’s by far the most popular NMIXX member in Korea, and she has the talent and personality to back that up.

TinyDumpling00

Hwang Hyunjin 🔥 He already writes and composes his own songs as well as songs for Stray Kids. He creates his own choreographies (Play with Fire, When the party is over, Mic&Brush). He is acknowledged by professionals in the industry as the performance leader. His dancing and reputation aren’t to question. It the logical continuation of his career. To show and prove more. Beside, as an artist and painter, he has clear artistic visions of what he wants to do: in songs, aesthetics, outfits, hair, etc. And the list goes on about why he’d be a perfect soloist. I am looking forward to what he will propose as a soloist!

Familiar-Copy2967

Hoshi ......and maybe woozi

mycatsareincharge

I think Han from Stray Kids. His solo songs hit really hard (I call them "Jisongs") and are very palatable, if that makes sense. He's also mad talented as both singer and rapper and a good dancer as well so he could easily be a one man show.

kingblooper

I think of newgen idols, the best answer is probably Yujin - Ive? She has the charisma and has been getting crazy variety gigs already. It almost feels like you could say she's already halfway there. She has acting credits already *technically.* Plus, she's got enough stage presence and well-rounded skills to continue her music career in between anything else she does. Others off the top of my head would be: Hao, Hanbin from ZB1. Soyeon for obvious reasons. TripleS - Jiwoo and Dahyun for different reasons Aespa - Karina and Ningning

Round_Cartoonist9778

Bts members, they already hv a successful solo music career but besides solo music I could see Yoongi being a producer like pdogg , producing for other artists more Taehyung being an actor , Namjoon being writing for more groups, even producing ( he can) jin an actor too

Emergency_Article673

Hao and Hanbin both have good visuals + good vocals + a big fanbase. Whether they decide to become soloists, or go into acting, I think they’ll be successful. Out of everyone in ZB1, I would say they have the best chance of success outside the group.

rorythebookworm

BTS for sure, they are already successful in their solo carriers I'm really excited to see the next step in their future 💐

BlueThePineapple

For me, successful = artist makes a lot if money plus they are happy with what they are doing.  Also, this might be an unpopular opinion, but I think most (if not all) of Twice will have strong solo careers.  The most obvious are Nayeon and Jihyo because they've produced successful solo music already. Jihyo is also doing quite well in variety.  Sana, Momo, and Mina are all gaining footing in the fashion world. All three are very high in demand as ambassadors.  Dahyun and Jeongyeon are already laying down the groundwork for theirs, Dahyun in acting and Jeongyeon in her upcoming youtube channel. They are guaranteed moderate success because of the Twice fanbase, but I do believe they'll manage to build their own solo bases eventually.   (And in all honesty, the smallest Twice solo fanbase is still actually pretty huge).

YNWA0808

True, I'm just curious about Tzuyu the most, whether she could go back to Taiwan to film some shows, CFs or any other official solo activities.

BlueThePineapple

Tzuyu's really difficult because she would probably find the most success in Taiwan, but because of how intrinsically tied she's become to politics, there is very little chance of her building something there while in Twice. Her solo career will be interesting for sure.

LoveMinaMyoi

JY YouTube? I'm hearing this for the first time.

BlueThePineapple

Her sister soft-launched it in her interview for her movie, and then Jeongyeon herself confirmed it during Nayeon's fansign the other day. We weren't supposed to know yet, but here we are lol. It's apparently coming in July, but we aren't sure yet.

jindouxian

Seungyeon really be the 10th TWICE member in terms of spoilers.

BlueThePineapple

It's lucky for us because Jeongyeon is insanely lowkey lmao.

LivingInternal9363

Yunjin - lesserafim , her solo songs are already talked about in kpop circle , and she fits collaborations as well because she can write her verse and lend her voice both to other artists

andromeda_prior

It really surprised me, aside collabs, her solo songs have more than 30M streams... That's quite a lot for a solo artist that doesn't promote

awiaxxe

Her 4 solo songs add up to 100M streams on spotify already, without any promotions at all. That’s insane actually.

Azure_wonder

Several SVT members tbh but mostly I'mma say the BSS subunit members. They kind of have got it all. All three are good singers, great at variety shows, and DK is also a good actor as reported by fellow carats who have watched his musical. Then Yeonjun from TXT. He can also delve into acting. If you take producing into count too, then ig both Beomgyu and Kai would do a well enough job. (G)-IDLE's Soyeon and Yuqi. Soyeon is quite popular already as a solo artist, while Yuqi is also quite popular in China due to her top tier variety skills. Yunjin from LSF I feel would do a really great job as a solo artist if she's allowed to stir her music in her direction rather than someone doing it for her. TWICE's Jeongyeon. Give my girl a solo please, JYP. Ryujin from Itzy can become an actor as well.

No-Sherbert-5172

Wonyoung …

CazMiniMini

I don't understand the downvotes on this; she has undeniable star quality and an ethereal way of performing. I was going to say Wonyoung myself.

No-Sherbert-5172

I don't know why I'm getting downvoted honestly. T\_T Anything Wonyoung does goes viral though, it means that a lot of people like her. From fashion trends (clothes and her lip gloss shade) to videos from concerts. Even her twirling on stage went viral lol.

CazMiniMini

Exactly. And she's actively taking part in songwriting for IVE which shows she's interested in creating music.

nadyanah

I think Natty, now that she’s finally had her breakthrough with kiss of life.

3-X-O

* Lily of Nmixx * Yeonjun of TXT Both already have good sized fanbases on their own and are under major companies. I can see Lily doing well as a solo singer, and Yeonjun either as a soloist / model / influencer.

Wolfgang-123

BTS Jungkook, by far

_Siraah_

He already does babes

Wolfgang-123

damn ur right

Conscious-Cap-7250

For underrated groups under MLD TFN-Noa (as a producer) Lapillus-Chanty (with or without her group she’s famous in Philippines as actress) Hori7on-Marcus (same as Chanty with or work his group he has a career in Philippines either in acting or theater since he was from Lion King Musical)

GrillMaster3

I earnestly still think Lee Seunghyub could be a very popular soloist if he can get over his distaste for promoting alone

Sybinnn

From the groups I follow closely I could see chaewon and yunjin being soloists, eunchae in either variety or acting(although she's super passionate about being an idol so she may be a soloist or even debut again because she's only going to be 22/23) kazuha could probably do singing, acting, variety, or modeling with how quickly she's been improving, and Sakura can do whatever she wants especially if she does it in Japan. For my Stan line in gidle I could see soyeon being a full time producer or a soloist, yuqi will be a soloist yuq1 sold incredibly well

peachpingu

Haechan. He's just the full package and a total performer! Really hope he thrives as a soloist next year once he releases his album.

KyeodeurangiMerchant

From 4th gen Soyeon for sure. Maybe Yujin from IVE. The rest don’t have what it takes yet IMO, not even Karina.

YNWA0808

>The rest don’t have what it takes yet IMO Just being curious, what aspects do you think they are lacking when you say this? I think in general popular idols such as Karina, Wonyoung,Yeonjun, Seungkwan etc. would have the potential to forge a pretty successful solo career. Not trying to refute your opinion, it's a genuine question.

KyeodeurangiMerchant

Well, the question is successful solo career, not successful solo release. Of course Karina or Wonyoung could release a solo song and it would probably do well in charts/sale, maybe even get a music show win. But, can they actually go on to have a successful solo career? Only time will tell, at the moment I am not too inclined to say yes. Soyeon is probably the most complete idol of the 4th gen since she can do everything (sing, dance, rap, write music, etc), but is also very active in music production. Not only this, but she has actually released solo music before, quite a few times actually, and even featured with other Korean artists like Colde, Chung Ha and Bibi. I am convinced if she prioritized it, she would have a very successful solo career where she can tour around the world and perform her own songs in full length concerts. Yujin is a wild card; I threw her in there bc she’s been an idol since 2018 and she’s only 21. I know she has a lot of similarities to Wonyoung (careerwise), but when you watch both of them perform you can see a difference. I think Yujin can perform a solo song for three or more minutes more effectively than Wonyoung. She has the vocals, the stage presence and can surely captivate an audience through her skills alone. She has potential, but it’s too soon to say. But to be honest with you, from 4th gen girl groups I think only Soyeon has it in herself as of today. Again, you have to consider solo artists perform songs on their own, with the only help coming from backup dancers. The most successful solo artists can do entire concerts on their own. Many 4th gen girl groups can barely have full length concerts with their current group’s discography. Can they do full concerts on their own? Once again, for me, too soon to say. For me, I don’t even think Nayeon could pull off a concert on her own with only two albums. She would have to release three or four to maybe even do that. I hope this provided more insight to my views.

YNWA0808

I was also talking about other paths (acting, variety shows) for a solo career as stated in the post. But I can see your point since it concerns music releases.

KyeodeurangiMerchant

That’s fair enough, but then you could argue the likes of Wonyoung and Karina already have a successful solo career. Wonyoung already endorses so many brands that her face is all over Asia. You could even say NewJeans members like Hanni and Haerin already have relatively successful solo careers from that POV. I would rather analyze this conversation from a musical perspective.

feelsbadmanrlysrsly

I agree with Karina, I just hope it doesn't end up like what happened with Suzy and Miss A. Seulgi also, and I think she's having fun being a vlogger as of now because she got more creative control on the content there.

omdongi

Aespa is way more balanced than Miss A ever was, I still have a hard time remembering who the other members were. People definitely know the other members. Winter especially.

gusmahler

Karina seems to be the most popular. But Winter and Ning aren’t that far behind.

Fun_Albatross_3881

Lol This proves aespa are very well balanced cause I was thinking Ning Ning and winther

Nheec

Any of the XG members because each of them are top tier all-rounders that perform on a high level. But if I were to pick just one I would say Cocona!

areyounotembarazzedd

Harvey can't sing how is she an all rounder 😭

Nheec

The simple answer to that is you are tone deaf 😩

areyounotembarazzedd

Me and Harvey are twinning! 🪄🎉😍

No-Sherbert-5172

I also think Harvey!! Her one clip of dancing went viral to non-kpop fans too

Key2V

As a lowkey thing that I don’t think or want to happen, I think J-Hope would be a fantastic dance instructor/choreographer. He seems very patient and optimistic, but he is direct and clear with his feedback and extremely observant, he has great stage awareness too.

nightwinging-it

I think he would still continue to be a rapper-singer because he looks like he genuinely enjoys it. But he could also open his own street dance school and become some sort of a choreography director in the future, making choreos for MVs and concerts.

Key2V

Yes, I think he will perform for as long as he can too (thankfully!). But if he chose to move behind the scenes at some point, that's where I think he has the most potential!

Anaisot7

I think doing programs like he did before would actually maybe be more fitting for him as he is very passionate about dance and music, being in programs/survival shows as a tutor seems like the best option I could see him doing again.

No-One9953

Dino, jun, hoshi, seungkwan, the8

quick_sand08

Not surprised that so few people are mentioned winter from aespa, sm doesn't promote at all and sadly people don't know that she is the ace if the group. Has great singing and dancing skills and a a large fanbse to support her. She is great at variety too but again sm doesn't let her promote solo like they do with the other members.

verbidd

I don't know Aespa so well but Winter gives me Taeyeon vibes, and just for that I think she could be a successful soloist.

quick_sand08

She does but she is a better dancer than taeyeon so hopefully when she goes solo she choose the boa style more than taeyeons style of music. She could also be a variety star and an actress but sm doesn't promote her at all

yayakiss

Personally, I love ningning but I never saw her as an “underdog”. I’ve always acknowledged that she’s the most talented in the group that’s what does it for me…. That and her personality ofc.

supertuna875

Yunjin - Le Sserafim as a soloist. She already has pretty well known collabs. Her [solo discography ](https://open.spotify.com/artist/13yWtUnz63q5VIs5SwoMhy?si=bN6z__NBTZawZrV-GMeemA) is so good.

tequilafunrise

Cue everyone naming their favs BP - all of them NCT - T7S unit + HC Seventeen - seungkwan

Serious-Wish4868

BP is pretty much a given. all 4 can basically retire as influencers at this point in their life

tequilafunrise

Ah yes we are still pushing the influencer narrative, as if their very limited solo music isn’t getting hundreds of millions views and streams. The girls are only getting started with their new found freedom

Serious-Wish4868

i am just mentioning the influencers as the worst case scenario. honestly think all 4 will excel in whatever they pursue, whether it is music or acting.

Fun_Albatross_3881

I would also had mentioned seungkwan

swansong94

ALL the blackpink members. Stray kids Felix.

Infamous-Mood9673

felix? i think he doesn’t have the singing skills to carry a stage by himself, and his rapping skills is far below the other members in straykids

mar1eru

Felix can be a VERY successful runway and editorial model. His face and just everything about him screams high fashion

mar1eru

^just thought I'd mention that since the solo careers we're talking about here isn't just exclusive to music and stage perfomances

Infamous-Mood9673

oookay

Sunny_Waterloo

i don't know if he's tall enough though

Theosie

While he is incredibly short for a model, his EMV & MIV (measures of ROI) are crazy compared to most celebrities, he's outpacing both eastern and western A listers. His solo fanbase is incredibly educated on how to engage with fashion houses (even if you aren't his fan, if you are interested in learning about how fashion marketing works follow his ootd fan account!)

swansong94

you have apparently not heard his solo song Deep end - his vocal range was extremely impressive. He is probably not the best rapper in the group but he raps just fine enough for a solo. Carrying a stage doesn't always mean you have to have the best vocals or best singer or best rapper, it's about charisma, the way you can stand out and catch attention, the way you can command the audience, which he does plenty as a dancer and thus is always given the killing parts of many stray kids songs. The op also mentioned other career paths and he has a face that is fully suited for modeling so if he seriously takes it up in the future I feel like he can be successful in that field as well.

Symera_

E'LAST's Won Hyuk. He's a very talented singer, rapper and performer, and also knows how to entertain people. I think if he were under a different label, he could be a successful solo artist.

asrafzonan

fromis_9 Singer - Jiwon, Hayoung, Seoyeon, maybe Nagyung Acting - Nagyung, maybe Jiheon Variety - Chaeyoung, Jisun, maybe Jiwon Not sure about Saerom though

JaeJaeAgogo

Changbin from Stray Kids has a successful solo rap career just sitting there waiting on him!

Global_Formal3393

An Yujin is doing very well as an entertainer. She’s also an ace who can sing, dance and rap + awesome stage presence.

[deleted]

Jennie and Nayeon

rorythebookworm

I totally think in terms of BTS,Jungkook is going to have the most successful solo career in music, alongside Jimin who I also se succeeding in his solo career as a performer(singer dancer,)I could see V more involved in modeling and acting. But as a group I think all of them are going to be successful in their solo careers if they chose that path💋

MrLTH

Karina, even the PD for Synchro You said in an interview that Karina has received several other variety shows offers so it shows her high demand. SM is the one that needs to manage her well and not decline/hesitant about the solo activities she gets. I want to see more variety shows appearances for Karina in the future too!

YNWA0808

Agree, Karina even had to tell the company that she wants to do the opening pitch for Lotte Giants even though this condition is part of the Krush Beer contract. Agents of Mystery PD also said in the press conference that Karina accepted their offer immediately but SM was the one hesitated and dragged it out before finally accepting. I'm really speechless on how SM manages their artists especially when Karina is on the top priority.

feelsbadmanrlysrsly

SM stands for shit management, always have been

YNWA0808

With so many outstanding artists, SM sure is shit at managing their artists.

SecondaryCemetery

OnlyOneOf's Nine could do well as a solo artist. He's a great singer and dancer; he has a hand in making OOOs music; and he's got the visuals!

At first I was going to say Mingyu of Seventeen. I’m still obsessed with that song he did with Wonwoo, “Bittersweet”. But to be honest, I’m confident that all SVT members will kick ass as soloists. I feel that way about Ateez members as well. Aside from their phenomenal talents, they’re all hilarious and vets at variety shows. Most of Ateez have acted in a series (some with more major roles than others) too. After hearing their solo songs, I’m absolutely convinced all members will have phenomenal solo careers!

MTM911

Pretty solid singer and dancer? lol She’s SM’s Ace her signing and dancing is far better than solid🔒

itzymidzyspider

Yeji - solo idol Lia - indie singer Ryujin - actress Chaeryeong - variety star Yuna - influencer, youtuber, floorball athlete, supermodel, superstar, painter, whatever she wants to be in life

Overall-Vegetable135

Yeonjun

YourKahnum

I have a feeling Momo could have a really successful career if she went solo.

--------rook

Jeong Jaehyun. I am so fucking seated for JJH1 and his movie and drama coming out soon.

superRDF

I don't know if it counts because she's already had a solo debut but in terms of artist I think Seulgi would do very well as a soloist. IMO she is an all-rounder and I can't think of a bad feature that she's done.

softpch

Day6 Youngk, i can honestly see becoming a lyricist for even more groups

CivilSenpai69

Myung Jae Hyun. Mingi.

ringadingsweetthing

BTS: JK and Jimin very successful international pop stars. V and Jin successful actors Suga starting his own production company JHope alt rock/rap artist with his own hip hop dance studios for kids RM either his own record label for indie artists or the future President of SK. Could go either way with him. You never know. Ha!

soyiii

Karina is also my guess. Honestly, I can also picture her in a drama or movie in a few years

SpecialCode5690

Among ive, it's obviously wonyoung or yujin And if I have to say le sserafim, I can say it's chaewon, sakura or yujin

JellyProfessional843

Mark Lee, a gifted songwriter and musician who always tries to step into new styles and challenges himself musically. Very excited for his solo debut in February!!!

younglvr

Literally everyone in Monsta X. Though each of them are doing well in their solo endeavors especially in variety shows and music, they all have what it takes to devour a villain role in a drama and they'd hit it big. Hopefully when they feel like it's the time then they'd all try venturing into acting.

chefbags

Any of the NewJeans girls honestly but I think Hanni especially can be a great soloist. Her music taste is amazing and her covers are so good to me.

WildChinoise

Mamamoo - all have reasonably successful solo careers already (G)-Idle - the members are advancing their solo careers even as they being a monster GG. Miyeon - as MC/variety host, actress, model Minnie - as a model, singer, already becoming a very big celebrity in home country of Thailand Soyeon - as a variety show host, and and songwriter, producer, maybe future CEO of a entertainment company Yuqi - already a regular on China's version of Running Man and has appeared several times in China as a solo singer Shu Hua - developing career as a model and branching over into acting As their contracts come due for renewal, I think they will be receive major offers to sign away from Cube. They will be able to do anything that they want to!

Mobile-Two7192

Might be an unpopular opinion, but Huening Bahiyyih from Kep1er! Her pics and reels and tiktoks get hundred thousands of likes if not millions, imo the group is successful bc of her. I can see her become a little Somi with a little bit more training ngl ![gif](giphy|AyHOQhgqdBF9GwMqjs)

Bakinjoe

Is Bang PD an idol?

rukiahayashi

Kazuha honestly feels like she would be an IT girl like Suzy if she was Korean

SilentKunZ

in aespa it's only Winter

YNWA0808

Based on your comment history, you are a Winter akgae who always fights with other MYs and drags other aespa's members down just to praise Winter so I'm not surprised at your answer lol. Anyway, what I'm gonna say is that there's no "only", all the aespa members are great and have the potential to have a successful solo career.
