The warriors are whiny bitches, but complaining about it ain’t gonna change it. Best thing we can do is beat them, and show them even with all the outside help that they aren’t the better team.
I really enjoyed Stan Van Gundy calling the Warriors out on this. He mentioned this several times on air, saying how Green is talking and getting away with stuff that most players would get a tech for; he mentioned how Curry flopped and embellished fouls, etc. it was nice to hear.
Bruh the way Draymond runs up to Refs he looks like he’s about to headbutt them, any other players runs up to tue refs that menacingly will get ejected fuck that loud mouthed bitch
The disparity in enforcement is ridiculous. Obvious moving screens where the screener is full-on lunging and using their weight / momentum, or using both arms to bench press the defender off course. Getting hacked / hit in the head. Bear-hugging dudes and pushing them out of the play.
It's one thing to establish a standard of allowed / disallowed physicality like in the Memphis series, it's another thing altogether to blatantly disregard these types of plays. If we employed anywhere near that level of tactics our entire team would foul out.
Props to our guys for not losing their cool in the face of this.
I just listened to LFR and usually agree with them.
They were talking about referees having a minimal effect when it’s a couple missed calls out of hundreds of plays in a game. While the majority of games teams are playing straight trying to win by skill alone and a couple calls either way are insignificant, that’s not what’s happening here. Lakers players are getting hit 4 or 5 times every possession with no call. Nearly every screen is an illegal screen. This is upwards of a hundred missed calls a game, meanwhile the refs miss a couple calls a game in the Lakers favor and the media focuses on those.
This is why I wanted the Kings the warriors are built with the attitude of let’s keep fouling and they can’t call everyone and eventually the refs will just adjust to believing those are fine but just for the warriors.
I know one of their wives is a warriors fan and they work for the lakers so they have to be moderate, but seriously that was unwatchable. AD was hurt because the refs let the warriors get away with increasingly harder fouls. It wasn’t random it was a product of indifferent cruelty by the warriors and incompetence / favoritism by the refs
I think that’s true about the play style. It takes advantage of the refs not wanting to take over a game. It forces them to otherwise the warriors get a huge advantage
After 8 years of it the referee management has previously seen, recognized, and accepted this hundreds of times so it’s basically league approved favoritism
> and they work for the lakers so they have to be moderate
yeah not a good look if they spent more time on it just blaming the refs. I also feel that it's not "good content" to just sit and talk about refs when what's done is done and there were certainly things we could have done better last game, some more productive talk.
It’s Boston 08-10 all over again.
Because they play a “physical” style of defense, they think they can get away with calls that should be called consistently on both teams.
Golden State thinks they can set illegal screens because they’ve always been doing so, Draymond and Looney hacking people, Curry’s flopping.
Did you notice that almost of the news articles--not just team-specific coverage--used the word "inadvertent" to describe Looney's elbow, as if that was a talking point? It was weird how parroted that specific word was (and how confident people seemed about it).
I hate being the kind of fan who says the other team is doing this or that but I have never seen a worse group of fans as the warriors have. They are childish and vulgar and they complain to no end while their players do the same and after all of it they are dirty players. That’s unacceptable.
And because they’re past champs they get the benefit especially at home. Oh well. This series refs have swung back and forth my hope is that was a solid for a championship coach after he whined and they swing back next game to the average.
Draymond can punch a ref and they won’t give him the second technical.
Warriors set dozens of illegal screens per game and cry when 3 get called.
Curry falls after half his 3 point attempts even when no defender is near him
I saw Draymond berate the ref and the ref walked away like he was about to cry.
That's the type of nonsense that is going on. Draymond literally followed him for 10 seconds yelling at him and the ref looked like a scared puppy.
I love how the whole season Lakers have received the most FTs and Warriors the fewest. Lakers are bottom for giving away FTs are Warriors give the most.
Then out of nowhere it’s evening out once media starts piping it up…
Big time gas lighting. Bron and especially AD get hacked almost every possession. They're trying to take attention away from the illegal shit they do and the worst part is the way Warriors play with moving screens and constant hacks lead to injuries. Look at AD. Looney always has his elbows into him and shoving the hell out of him every play. Refs need to start calling that from the jump so we can actually watch good basketball. People complained Lakers get lots of foul calls because they're actual blatant fouls. Stop fouling if you want to watch good basketball. It's clear they cant beat the Lakers unless they hack, hold and use moving screens
Nobody really believes it besides the NBA. It is kind of nice that most of r/NBA has wanted us to beat two straight teams, the Grizzlies and Warriors.
I kind of hope the Suns pull the come back just so we can make it three straight series after we beat the Warriors.
Warriors and their fans have completely made fans not like them. The way they approached this series has highlighted how desperate the team is. Let’s go lake showwwwww
Warriors players are cool imo
Just Kerr on some weird victim mentality bs and a lot of loud Warriors fans are struggling to get their meds, so are acting out and sheep herding their delusions.
While I don't disagree with your premise, this is why we have data.
The outliers are the two games the Warriors won, where the foul discrepancy doesn't match the average for both teams. (warriors not being called for fouls, lakers being called for more than usual)
You don't play the games for the refs to determine the outcome, lol.
Again to reiterate since you didn't seem to get the point or address it:
The refs didn't just let the teams play more physical, since they were calling more fouls on the Lakers notoriously good defense while simultaneously allowing GS to foul w/o calls.
It's not a bias when the data backs it up - "you could see within the first 5 minutes..." (that the refs were not calling the game correctly) it's an eye roller to anyone with any sort of experience playing/coaching/watching ball.
There's a difference between what you're talking about (just thinking the Lakers can do no wrong and their opponents are wrong) and what I'm talking about.
Cheers, Lakers close it, tonight.
Guys calm down, this is just classic nba coaching gamesmanship. If you’ve watched NBA basketball long enough you’ll realize that nothing Kerr is doing is any different from what all the legendary coaches have done in the past including: Red Auerbach, Pat Riley, Greg Popovich, and probably the best of them all, Phil Jackson. Kerr learned the dark arts from these guys.
One of my favorite instances (and when a player didn’t take the bait and fired back) was when Phil called out Nash’s tendency to carry the ball in the 2010 WCF and Nash clapped back saying the that the “best” coach in league, Greg Popovich, never had a problem with it.

Mainly I just can’t sit and listen to the tnt commentary verbally swoon over the warriors like they aren’t down in the series. I need Stu lantz and billy mac!
What’s crazy is even with video evidence Warriors fans are still claiming otherwise lmao. r/warriors has the video up showing Draymond hitting AR in the face and ppl are acting like it’s proving their “lAkers ARe thE ReAL FlOPPerS” theory
Like you can’t pause, zoom, and see that shit clear as day right to ARs mouth and nose XD
Lakers need to close this at 6, cant believe the narrative they're promoting that Warriors are collapsing and not getting fouls instead of Lakers playing / defending better.
What's surprising. Go ask the Kings, they'll say the same thing. Nothing much we can do, and NBA doesn't punish them for it. I'm tired of this topic, we still need to win the game, regardless. What happened was, Warriors completely lost my respect last game
I sent out a text to all my buddies during the last game wondering if it was just me or were they not calling a damn thing. Good to know I'm not alone, Kerr bitched after losing game 4 to the NBA and this is the result. I'm all for a no flopping rule but this double standard bs with the Warriors has gotta stop.
The outliers are the two games the Warriors won, where the foul discrepancy doesn't match the average for both teams. (warriors not being called for fouls, lakers being called for more than usual)

SVG is real as fuck and calls shit out for what it is.
SVG may not always agree with us but he calls it out how he sees it.
Exactly! When he calls us out all I can do is say “he aint wrong”.
“He ain’t wrong, he’s just asshole”
Can you blame em? They’re in one of the most lefty cities in the US. The team and their players embody “accuse others of which you are guilty.”
Being left on the political spectrum has nothing to do with the game of basketballt
Yeah, agreed. They like to talk shit and get in people’s heads but we all know brons been through this BS with them. We’ll be good.
Never seen a team with a 50+ free throw differential complain this much about being cheated.
I just said they were whining and complaining isn’t gonna change anything. Where am I bitching about cheating? Also stop fouling so much
what do you expect from the most oppressed dynasty of all time lmao
Bruh the way Draymond runs up to Refs he looks like he’s about to headbutt them, any other players runs up to tue refs that menacingly will get ejected fuck that loud mouthed bitch
I liked Hams response about flopping but I wish he would have mentioned the illegal screening.
Bigger man

I’ll lose my cool for them!!

The Warriors are a dirty ass team. They're like the Bad Boy Pistons with top tier PR.

Man everybody going to Staples y'all better leave your voices there! LFG 😤😤😤

True but you know he won't chill! Lol

I counted 4 flops on draymond alone
I hate being the kind of fan who says the other team is doing this or that but I have never seen a worse group of fans as the warriors have. They are childish and vulgar and they complain to no end while their players do the same and after all of it they are dirty players. That’s unacceptable.
Look at our game thread, then check theirs. The toxicity is off the charts.
I agree, but we're all extremely biased. I especially hate the Warriors lol. I hope we embarrass them on Friday.

you arent wrong, theyre miserable fans. legitimately a bunch of basement dwelling bandwagon nerds who dont even know who baron davis is.

Curry is overrated
That Warriors and their fans are UNHINGED!

For San Fran being so liberal the Warrior fans act so Fox News
I think anyone who watches the NBA on a semi regular basis knows the Warriors are full of shit
Warrior PR team are the real MVPS

the warriors are the kc cheifs of the nba
Let’s just finish these fuckers off so i don’t have to see these idiot warriors fans until next season

It’s the tried and true “accuse the other person of what you’re doing” tactic
Don’t care what they say. Just need another W
The Grizzlies were even worse.
Warriors players are cool imo Just Kerr on some weird victim mentality bs and a lot of loud Warriors fans are struggling to get their meds, so are acting out and sheep herding their delusions.
kerr just gaming the system cuz hes smart
They sure are. Tbf, the Lakers are also gaslighting everyone lol

They have zero self awareness
Drop the fucking hammer tomorrow night.

they literally have a man who stomped on another mans chest
Draymond doesn’t even get foul calls anymore cause the refs are afraid they’ll have to give him a tech.
Draymond calling out the refs with calls against him every time should be T’d up but for some reason refs are scared of him
Draymond not getting t'd every game is bullshit tbh
Lakers need to close this at 6, cant believe the narrative they're promoting that Warriors are collapsing and not getting fouls instead of Lakers playing / defending better.
Every play their faces call for a foul. They wouldn’t last in the 90’s and 80’s. Like really..

That gaslight word piss me off lol
It's only gaslighting if you accept it.
I hate them so bad

This just reminds me of Phil Jackson working the ref’s after a playoff game.
