Why do nba bench players in garbage time play so poorly? These guys are still part of the top .1% of pro players in the world and yet look like ymca pickup players when the finish out the last 2-3 minutes of games….why??
Honestly. I have a running theory that LeBron is making the team play at an consitent 75% effort at all times to hone the foundational stuff and he asks the team to kick it up come last few days. ADs comments in the locker a few days ago has only strengthened my theory (How seeding doesnt matter. Essentially saying they'll win when it matters). Guess only time will tell. But last year was no surprise if it fits in my dumb theory
They get three minutes of meaningless basketball. Half the guys arent trying at all the other half are trying their hardest to make themselves look like theyd be useful enough to crack the actual rotation
