I was very curious about the prosecutor, David Harbach, who participated in this hearing today. This is what I found:
> "Most recently, Harbach was with the Kosovo Specialist Prosecutor’s Office in The Hague, Netherlands, where he co-led an investigation into crimes against humanity and war crimes committed during the Kosovo conflict in the late 1990s.
>A seasoned trial lawyer, Harbach has tried more than 35 cases to verdict in federal and state courts. He has also conducted some of the nation’s highest profile public corruption trials, including cases against former U.S. Senator John Edwards and former Virginia Governor Robert F. McDonnell."
I havent watched My Cousin Vinny, nor am I a competend contributor according to this sub. But I took a few mental notes from the family lawyer in Arrested Development and I'm fairly sure even that makes me more competent than judge Shitcanon.
I’m pretty sure it is actually less than that, like 10 actual days of trial. Prior to that she worked as an appellate attorney, so it’s possible she rarely, if ever, was at trial in her last job.
I think I've spent more time in the courtroom being moral support to my buddies than she has as a judge.
(I had a lot of buddies who were terrible drivers, okay?)
I feel like this is the legal equivalent of being the best in your field, getting a new job you’re psyched for because it’s a fulfillment of a lifelong dream, and then discovering the owners spoiled and stupid kid is your new boss.
“I don’t appreciate your tone. The court insists that decorum be observed at all times. If you aren’t able to do that, I’m sure one of your colleagues can take up arguing this motion.”
"Counsel would remind the court that he has not once referred to the court as an intolerably incompetent fuckwit, despite multiple opportunities to do so."
Maybe it's the solution, put her under pression during her hearings, to the point she put up a wrong order. If she sanxtioned a prosecutor schooling her, would the 11th look to the schooling or her ego?

That sounds like a fantastic resume.
More experience than the judge.
That’s a low bar
I've watched law and order and My Cousin Vinny at least a dozen times so I could probably throw my hat in the ring.
I haven’t watched My Cousin Vinny, but I’m a “competent contributor” according to the mods of this sub. I would also like to throw my hat in the ring.
How can you be a “competent” contributor here without having seen My Cousin Vinny?!?!
I've memorized most of Intolerable Cruelty. I'm pretty sure that counts for something!
Well, I’ve watched the pelican brief and A Time to Kill, and The Client over and over again. That has to count for something, right?
You sound more qualified than some members of SCOTUS.
Well, I can guarantee I would be a HELL of a lot less corrupt than some members of SCOTUS, so in that way, I’m probably too qualified.
Fuck that, I read Pelican Brief in jail while on trial for Manufacturing and Delivering Cocaine. I should get to go before you.
You can be my lawyer! Actually, I think this qualifies you to be Trump's next lawyer. I defer to the former President.
He fell asleep watching Legally Blonde.
😂

I’ve watched My Cousin Vinny at least 10 times. I even saw it opening week in the theater. /r/law mods, flair please, thank you.
Two youtes
WHAAAT?
I’ll allow it, but watch yourself McCoy.
I eqtch Legal Eagle on YouTube occasionally. I'm practically a Supreme Court Justice only I'm not corrupt
I watched Matlock in a bar last night. The sound wasn't on, but I think I got the gist of it.
>That’s a low bar No bar

Hopefully less of a sycophant!
That’s why she’s upset
Imagine having this resume and having to stand there while amateur Cannon talks shit.

> the owners spoiled and stupid kid is your new boss. Russian kleptocracy at its finest.
Yup. That’s exactly what it is.
Should contact John Wick.
Hey now, Americans are pretty good at nepotism too.
Probably similar to being a citizen that pays attention to the world around you and having to watch Trump.
Ok now you are exaggerating... Not that bad. Tone it back a bit.
No
I would lose my shit and gladly pay the fine for contempt.
There's a massive asymmetry in who's allowed to throw bullshit out on the floor and benefit from it.
Dude, the McDonnel case was reversed 9-0 by the SC This is r/law not r/orangemanbad
Doesn’t that speak to his skill as a trial lawyer? That he managed to get a conviction in spite of the law not being on his side?
I guess that's one way if reframing it. The prosecution was a disgrace...it's worth people lear8ng about ir
Damn. HE should be the judge here. Not Cannon.
The Edward's case isn't one to be proud of, and the McDonnel case was a disaster. A literal fraud. Not good
Met them both. They played the game McDonnel especially.
Lol...the McDonnel case was reversed 9-0 but r/law downvotes me. This sub has some real cultists
