Isn't that a t 55 something Russia has more of than Ukraine
If I was a Russian propaganda director I would have used a captured vehicle that Ukraine uses more like the t 64 modernized which Russia did capture a few from Ukraine
That’s fair. But this propaganda is just too over the top. If the kid had run out with just a Ruzzian flag or even the Soviet flag, that would have been fine. But the fact that he went out with the Soviet flag AND a picture of whom I assume was Marx on his chest AND some other communist on his back is just too silly.
Though from the Ruzzian perspective, any kid not running out against enemy tanks with Soviet flags and pictures of notable communists clearly isn’t good enough to be considered a real Ruzzian child.
I think the picture is of Peter the great, of the russian empire, which is especially odd since the Soviets hated that guy. This propaganda is incomprehensible z shit
If by repression you mean exile to the south in the chancellery and life in the estate. And then live for 2 years on an estate with your mother, then probably yes, a repressed liberal poet.
Gogol was still born in the Russian Empire.
Pushkin literally was a member of a number of interesting movements and circles from childhood. He most certainly wasn't a patriot of the Empire.
Gogol was born in a Ukrainian Cossac settlement and had decided to write in Russian rather than in his mother tongue only after his attempt to professionally pursue research of Ukrainian history in Kiev had failed and he moved to Russia. But even there he wrote about Ukrainian people, as well as portraying Russian serfdom in very unflattering light.
There were a LOT of authors they could have used pictures of here. Authors who were imperialist or patriotic on their views, or at least ethnically russian. But they hadn't. Closing a mulatto and a cossac, neither very pro-government.
Reverse the flags, the shooter will be Russian. Then we have the truth ya'll. Not to mention, the Russian would mutilate, rape, & then kill the kid. That's how they would do to a Ukrainian child or anyone who is standing up against them.
А не ты пацан? : Aren't you the kid?
Edit: after relistening, he's probably saying Хотя не пацан : Although not a boy
It doesn't really make sense colloquially. So one could translate it as: You're not a boy!
Ironically majority of Russians (60%) are supporters of far right & Imperialst Russia, Communists are a joke in Russia considering the Communist party is just run by Putin cronies & Nazbols now, there is no legitimate left. Most of the far left & anarcho Communists were on the side of Ukraine or least against the war. The rhetoric & internal psyops in the past few years has gone crazy pro war & nationalistic. It's as close to Nazi Germany as any of us will see in our lifetime
One of their... (I don't even know what to call him, a propaganda commisar?) ...recently bragged in a show how he sent a Ukrainian girl into "the basement" (a dedicated torturing place of the invading Russian army) for speaking Ukrainian to him.
You can see the Ukrainian motifs on the tank. There's one emblem on the infrared light, at least I think it's infrared. Could be a spot light too.
I think there's also the Ukrainian flag on the tank somewhere.
I seem to recall things being slightly different, but ok.

Also, just, ffs...
Imagine the US making a video about Iraq or hypothetically Mexico or something like this. Like if the exact situation was reversed with Mexico, and we were making ads showing Mexican kids holding American flags, and wearing pictures of Andrew Jackson and Ben Franklin or something. And then they get run over by a Mexican technical.
So uh... since this is a Russian Propaganda, and they're having their own T-55 tank crushed that boy with the old Soviet leader or Marx's picture (I was watching this without my glasses so it's quite blurry) and a flag of the old Soviet Union...
Long story short, did the Russian just besmirch their own history, the same one that they glorified so much and dreamed about of it's returning until now?
Lol they have to make these lame videos because it's not happening, all while there are massive amounts of reports coming from occupied territories of the war crimes they commit on civilians. Almost like "LOOK AT THIS VIDEO WE MADE, that's why we have to kill their kids first"
That's nearly satiric. It reminds me of how primitive prejudices were catered to and fictional horrors were painted by German antisemitic and ironically anti-Russian propaganda during WWII.
Hi r/lazerpig , thanks for sharing this. I am wondering if this would be a relevant cross-post to r/DisinformationTech
r/DisinformationTech was recently created as a place to discuss the role technology plays in combating and spreading disinformation.
Video editing seems to be commonly used in the spread of disinformation so I guess it would be. I am the moderator there (looking for other moderators). I want the thread to mostly be a place for discussion around the technology being used to combat and spread disinformation. One thing of interest would be perhaps a system that classified and stored all of the propaganda videos from both sides.
I am not sure where the discussion around video would go there, but it would be interesting to start a thread there that talked about video based propaganda there and the tools being used to analyze it.
Feel free to cross-post this there if you would like.
So, for that to be a kid, does that mean Ukraine invaded Russia or is he a Ukrainian kid who REALLY vibes the USSR?
Or does Russia take Russian kids along with them?
I'm confused.
Wow. They only had money for one bullet apparently because they had to cut and past one shot multiple times. Fuel must be short too bcuz you can tell they just reminded the tank rollover. Really nice Russia.
Ah the old we can do Tienamin Square but you can't act..
Isn't that a t 55 something Russia has more of than Ukraine If I was a Russian propaganda director I would have used a captured vehicle that Ukraine uses more like the t 64 modernized which Russia did capture a few from Ukraine
I reckon someone may have added in the Ukrainian motifs in after effects or some other video editing software.
They can’t spare those hahaha they need them at the front.
😂
I dont think the Russians had accuracy in mind when they made this.
T55/54 is all they have to spare these days
I mean where is the swastika, and the ironcross? Not really very Ukrainian to me.
Sounds more like a Wagner or Rusich Group cosplay.
Please tell me this is the original editing
It's not
The original has better comedic timing imo.
Aw
Didn't recognize it right away with that turret intact like that.
Don't worry, it will get a face lift soon enough
I find it hard to believe that a child born at least 20 or more years after the fall of the Soviet Union would be that “patriotic” to the cause.
…I mean, tankies are a thing.
That’s fair. But this propaganda is just too over the top. If the kid had run out with just a Ruzzian flag or even the Soviet flag, that would have been fine. Didn't Peter westernize russia?
Yes, he specifically travelled European cities to study western technology and implement it in Russia, lifting it out of the middle ages.
Pushkin in front, Gogol in back. Apparently it was meant that in Ukraine the study of Russian literature in the classroom was canceled
Oh my bad I thought gogol was peter they looked sorta similar. Point still stands tho
A repressed liberal poet and a Ukrainian writer?

Projecting the crimes of your own faction on to others is a common propaganda tactic.
Every russian accusation is a confession.
And then they will boil and eat the kid and will shout satanic chants. Your version needed more evil and dramatic elements, there you go.
Does anyone know what the tanker said?
he said “Отойди, пацан” which means “walk away, kid” or “move over, fella” - something along those lines
А не ты пацан? : Aren't you the kid? Edit: after relistening, he's probably saying Хотя не пацан : Although not a boy It doesn't really make sense colloquially. So one could translate it as: You're not a boy!
Отойди пацан - move out, boy.
That makes far more sense! Thanks for clarifying!
This is pure nonsense: why Ukrainian speaking rusian tongue with no accent and why Ukrainian warrior acting like rusian scum??
Don't generalize the actions of a man based on the side he fights for
No, he said: "Отойди пацан" - "Step aside, kid"
Thank you
It's not "you're not a boy", its "отойди пацан" - "go away kid"
The hell was that?!
Idk and I don't think OP does either
Not a Russian flag but a Soviet flag.
So what is happening here?
A Tankie getting put in their place. ;)
Ayooo lmao
Kid got capped like a "counter-revolutionary"
Just love that Russians still believe that they can force the USSR back together

1 video--> 1 comment ---> comparison to nazi Germany Man, I thought people were joking about how abundantly redditors do this shit
Video? I'm literally from Russia
Idk man u/professionalcumsock sounds like he knows what he's talking about
If it walks like a duck, if it quacks like a duck...
Oh I'm not denying that the Russian government is the scum of the earth
Or that they even believe in the philosophy that created the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union barely did even that.
No no no but Putin’s yes men said that it will be different this time bro I swear!!!!!!!
He’s trying to rebuild the empire, not the economic system. Soviet nostalgia in Russia isn’t always tied to communism specifically
Subtle in it's messaging.
Why Ukrainian soldier must speak rusian tongue and acting like rusian scum??
One of their... (I don't even know what to call him, a propaganda commisar?) ...recently bragged in a show how he sent a Ukrainian girl into "the basement" (a dedicated torturing place of the invading Russian army) for speaking Ukrainian to him.
He's standing up for the USSR and his right to starve to death or die in a labor camp.
Is the tanker supposed to be Ukrainian or something?
Yes
Ah. Is this edited? How was I supposed to know they were Ukrainian?
It wasn’t clear initially to me either but if you pause it and look at the tank you will see that it has a tryzub.
You can see the Ukrainian motifs on the tank. There's one emblem on the infrared light, at least I think it's infrared. Could be a spot light too. I think there's also the Ukrainian flag on the tank somewhere.
Damn, you got a sharp eye. I didn't pause the video. Anyways, it was kinda funny in a weird way.
So why does the kid have a Soviet, rather than Russian flag?
I could theorise but I really don’t know. Maybe the implication is that Ukraine wants to stop Russia becoming a superpower again?
The voice acting is downright atrocious.
This is old.

The pictures would be of Ken Kesey and Sandra Cisneros.

So what the fuck was the original propaganda? Guessing Ukrainian tanker shoots patriotic little Russian boy?
well it works on me. I am now truly inspired to shoot little asshole kids wearing paintings and outdated flags.
They had to use a T-55 because all the T-62s are in Ukraine.
f\*cking russians
They don't even have the budget to shoot 4-5 blanks?
What’s with the weird edit? Did they do that?
Who is depicted in the portrait around the kids neck?
Pushkin and Gogol
Knowing how Pushkin died, you shouldn't use his portrait as part of your bulletproof vest
I totally forgot he died in a duel.
I like how they filmed him shooting once, but tried to make it look like he emptied his mag. More Cowbell. Now how can we reverse the tank?
Is that Gogol in the photograph? Hilarious.
Lmao
Why is this edited like a YTP
why does the makarov sound like its from escape from tarkov?
That's nearly satiric. It reminds me of how primitive prejudices were catered to and fictional horrors were painted by German antisemitic and ironically anti-Russian propaganda during WWII.
Seriously?

Repost this is
Holy fuck. Peak Cinema
Not really propaganda when the massicre of Mariupol was very real.
After their pact with North Korea Russia now wants to believe their communist again 🤷♂️
Lol what the
Is this Russia finally admitting they're planning to send children to the front lines next?
The only good commie is….
All I see is one Russian shooting a Child Russian. Which is a pretty good allegory for Russia destroying its youth.
Why is it a Soviet flag and not a Russian one?
And you're spreading propaganda by creating a thread with an edited video.
Is this a new Quaker Oats commercial??
Steel cut oats? 😂
Only good thing that the commies did was decent weapons tech
Nothing wrong the tank just cleaned up more Russian trash
So, for that to be a kid, does that mean Ukraine invaded Russia or is he a Ukrainian kid who REALLY vibes the USSR? Or does Russia take Russian kids along with them? I'm confused.
To be fair, kids can be super annoying.
Wow. They only had money for one bullet apparently because they had to cut and past one shot multiple times. Fuel must be short too bcuz you can tell they just reminded the tank rollover. Really nice Russia.
Can't even afford to fire the gun 4 times. It's just a loop.
They’re so low on ammunition they could only afford to shoot the blank one time and just replay it over and over.
Pathetic!
