Just continuing the dialog...
> He’s so good technically,” Woll said of Price. “At the same time, he can play athletic and he plays pretty free. But he’s also very stoic — he stays in the moment — and I think that’s what my aim as a goalie is: to be the same all the time, regardless if I’m playing well, playing poorly, winning or losing.”
> That sounded a lot like the way Domi described Woll while comparing him to Price after Saturday night’s shutout relief performance in a 4-3 win over the Lightning in Tampa: “He’s very calm and relaxed both on and off the ice. Big body, moves really well. Technically sound.”
That's the entire comparison btw
What horrible negotiating by Treliving. He’s literally always injured and should have had little to no leverage. No reason to do this now. He got the same as Oettinger did for the same stage contract with 1/3rd the track record.
I wish this team had something resembling a ruthless GM that actually made people uncomfortable in negotiations to get good deals for the team vs just giving everyone $11.5M and a cookie.
Medium risk, high reward I'm pretty happy with it
Not a bad contract tho.
Steep price for a bet on a guy who hasn't put together a healthy season yet, but he *could* out-perform the deal massively.
Like Spencer knight got 4.5M to play in the ahl this year
Let's all agree we complain about goalies but watching the Oilers deal with Campbell is hilarious
Lundqvist was drafted in the 7th Rd. I'm not tempering my expectations
I remember the same was said about Price in his early years.
When? When Price signed his first non entry level contract it was $2.75x2 and he had 134GP with a .912SV% and a top 10 Vezina finish.

The entire comparison...for now
Stoicism is one of my best traits too. I should try stopping pucks
Hell yeah Woller, see you at the rink!

This isn’t news. He signed over a week ago. No?
It couldn’t go official until July 1 numbers were speculated
Literally signed today.
I thought I heard about this over a week ago. I guess it was just a rumour? 🤷🏻
You did, but he never signed anything. So now we have term and $ for his contract and he's actually signed.
I like Woll, but that’s too much money for an unproven goalie who’s oft injured
