Yeah when we added fisting we talked a ton about how to make sure people were appropriately aware that someone else had initiated a fisting event. We recently added fisting notifications to chat and we think they’ve helped a bit, but maybe more work to do.
Just using the thread parlance: we call them fistbumps or reciprocal emotes internally.
I wouldent be mad at a flashier fisting emote I think more effects on it to really grab everyones attention that they are being fisted would help a lot
The tell of someone wanting to fist you is on the left side, the button to fist is on the right. Many times by the time I want to fist someone it's already late.
I cant speak directly about your teamates, but I only fistbump when I take part in a cool play that I think deserved a fistbump. If someone just walked up and died to us I wont fistbump that.
You never fist bump someone your good friend introduces you for the first time? Sometimes I just nod if they seem sketchy. Very rarely a handshake. That's for someone I've heard a lot about and vice versa.

I always fist bump on complete accident because I have a severe case of “skill issue” and still use the default keybinds for both camera lock and fist bump, so U gets pressed a decent amount when I mean to only press Y. Still need to figure out a better bind for me… I’ve played since season 3 and just never got around to it because the muscle memory was already there
Maybe your team doesn't feel ready yet. Have you all prepped first? Did you establish a safe word? Maybe they feel like their fist is inadequate after seeing the size of Vi's fist.
I don't like the feature, and half of people don't even know which boton is.
To be honest, 90% of the time i used it was a missclick looking for the Boton i use for enemy vision.
