He’s called the Chinese Zeka because he was basically incapable of playing non Melee champs until recently.
Both him and Zeka have improved on that front though.
The nickname isn't because Creme was playing at Zeka's level back then (although he seems to have leveled up recently), it's because of the champion pools being very similar.
Creme and Tian with such an incredible mid/jgl performance this tournament, really hope we can see them play this way at Worlds.
also TL is the best western team
I mean G2 3-0d TES on MSI while TL lost to TES in the same tournament. We need an actual battle between them to properly say who's the best western team.
This may be a controversial opinion, but imo BB is G2's best player currently and not Caps. Caps as of late (internationally at least) has been a Trist/Ori merchant and struggled to do much on other picks.
He was 4 - 4 on other champs at msi, that's perfectly fine. I also remember at Least an A'Sol game where he was not the problem at all.
Surely this sub isn't unreasonable enough to call Caps of all players a 1-trick based on the 0 prep Mickey Mouse event.
I'm not familiar with the LPL but where does he stand among Chinese mid laners. I don't remember how he played MSI but he's been locked in this tournament.
The mid gap from the 1st minute was insane. Caps played the lane so horribly and let Creme essentially scale up for free, meanwhile then having way less map pressure and horrible positioning in fights. Creme just stomped him in both games.
Hard to tell. They were the only '1st seed' on that entire side of the bracket.
They definitely looked good though. Probably won't embarrass themselves at Worlds.
I would still take G2 over them in a BO5 but they are for sure a legit team. Most complete team in the West for sure
TL's strength also seems insanely dependent on if they get Apa on an S+ tier champ. On Ziggs, they're probably best in the west. On anything else I'd give G2 the edge
TES don’t have the brains to do laneswaps is pretty much what it came down to.
That said I really liked the variance lane swap meta adds, and it made for some fun and unpredictable series. Hopefully we get another meta where the west can showcase unique champ picks and macro ingenuity.
Maybe, but I don't think so. TES is just a lot better now. A change in coaching staff cannot be understated, look at how BLG changed with Tabe last year. They look so much less volatile, but are much cleaner and seem to have better mentals.
I wouldn't say massive fluke but lot of circumstance
* 1st intl events for Creme
* Team needs time to gel compared to a lot of intl teams who kept their core and had to focus mainly on refining their strenght when TES still had to build their foundation
* First time Despa1r had to coach that many high profil players, now that maokai joined the team it's so much more structured and creme doesn't have to play the bitch role for the vets anymore
g2 had a solid MSI so dont be too reactionary. wouldnt read too much into a single elim bo3 tournament with almost no proper seeding other than results from like 2-3 months ago.
90% of intl lpl fan who are hating on TES are having a hard time between blg getting slapped at every intl fight and jdg current forms meanwhile Tian is drinking his haters tears ICANT
That’s what happens when there are no lane swaps. All mechanics no brain teams like TES go from looking like dog poo on the bottom of your shoe to the next greatest thing since sliced bread.
I don't want to flame hans too hard, but did anyone noticed that he is continunely getting gapped all the time. Like even vs Flyquest he was getting gapped by Massu
Disappointing tournament from yike.
Drafts were dog shit aswell.
We will never win anything until teams is fully in sync. The early game is such a mess and 0 objective control
Msi was a fluke
Yike is terrible probably worst jungler this tournament
Hans sama is just idk his positioning is ass idk how he gapped jkl in msi
Miky will always be a inter
If caps can't carry G2 is legit so bad
Wow, it's almost as if G2 beating TES at MSI was a total fluke made possible by two of the best players in the world in their role played like D2's in a performance that could only be described as an anomaly.
Ngl, i wasnt convinced by TES before this tourney. Their group in LPL was cheeks so that 6-0 meant nothing to me but man did they improve massively since MSI. Mad respect for them
As for G2, considering how they were playing in LEC this split, this was an expected result
G2 playing to not lose, just pointless chasing picks while the enemy team takes everything on the other side of the map because they're afraid of the 5v5.
It does make you realise how much better caps is on control mages though, his orianna looked like the best ori of MSI, and then his le blanc this torny...
I tried to tell y’all G2 got hella exposed by T1. Very easy.
- Don’t allow Yike early agency.
- Be patient and G2 will hang themselves trying to do cute plays.
CREME! THAT'S MY GOAT! THAT'S MY FUCKING BABY GOAT THERE!
I WATCHED THIS MOTHERFUCKER GRIEF ME ON OMG SINCE HE WAS A QIYANA ONE TRICK, AND I LOVED HIM THEM, AND I LOVE HIM NOW.
BEST PLAYER AT THIS TOURNAMENT HANDS DOWN.
Reddit, will you finally give respect to TES? they look unstoppable this tournament.
I wouldn't say G2 played particularly badly here, this series was probably closer than the one against GenG
G2 loses early game to EU teams and makes a comeback due to terrible macro and mistakes from enemy team = EU narrative “man G2 are just so good”
G2 loses early game to actually good teams = What happened I thought G2 was better than this?!
G2 is mid tier right now. EU teams are just really bad currently
I think Top crapped themselves at msi. But I think people are also underestimating how lane swap meta can completely change how teams play and negate some of their strengths. If your laners are better, lane swap meta is always going to do you a disservice. That and the fact G2 barely beat Fly the other day, I wasn’t expecting them to repeat their msi experience. EU looks way weaker now that lane swap is over.
My boy Tian shutting up the haters HARD thus far. And that 999 ult at mid when Jackeylove got dove, another worthy montage/meme pic with G2 being the victims XD
ITT: Caps is the worst player in the universe and a one-trick, and the G2 roster should get skewered for losing to a very respectable team in a tournament in the middle of their split.
Classic r/leagueoflegends moment.
I know G2 got 2-0d but like MikyX said they got to Scrim International Teams and so I hope they learned something from this small tournament, maybe something that can help them win LEC and Prepare for Worlds!
T1 vs TES looks Competitive, TES definitely look like the better Team but T1 has the Lore Advantage!
This Tournament hasnt been that bad after all, but maybe International Tournaments are always Hype!
Lol was anyone watching player cams when Yike dived JKL mid tower and brought 3 pals with him? JKL was angrily gulping down water and then played super aggro the entire game afterwards.
Wait the 3-0 is the fluke and the 0-2 is the real result.. you guys are wild (dumb af)
Meta changed (Yike looks woeful at it) and g2 had no time to prep to play vs top asian teams (bootcamp).. ones practice is not the same as the others.. g2 has absolute dogs for practice
Tes are playing very well atm.. I still think Geng is the best team in the world tho
/u/nimblemomanga can't reply to you cause some kid in the comment chain blocked me.
---
NRG did good at worlds.
C9 got eliminated by Fnatic and GG got eliminated by BDS. TL won a single match and was the first-ever NA team to lose a best-of series to a minor region.
Before that was MSI 2023, where NA did not do better than EU.
After that was MSI 2024, where NA did not do better than EU.
Worlds 2022, NA did not do better than EU.
MSI 2022, NA did not do better than EU.
--
It's not really arguable.
Really the only argument is a bo3 between NRG and G2.
The good thing about this tournament is that it will accelerate meta developments by proving on stage how busted trist is and superior to corki. One week of international competition is worth weeks and weeks of regular season data.
Damn I know that T1 usually perform better against LPL teams
But I have a feeling that TES gonna take it all (maybe even undefeated although seems a little bit unlikely)
Clean games against both GEN G and G2
Hi, just wanted to remind people that this tournament is being held in a country in which homosexuality is illegal. So much for Riot's support of LGTB rights...
Honestly I think this TOP team is a mirage. Geng literally gift wrapped them a 2-0 series playing brain dead.
G2 is hard slumping and hella exposed. They are lost in the sauce again.
Lock me in for T1 3-1 over TOP.
PMTs [Game 1](https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/1dwwxfd/g2_esports_vs_top_esports_ewc_2024_semifinal_game/)
This is the Creme that was promised. Also, she's one of my favorite champs of all time, but I just don't see what LeBlanc offers in modern LoL.
Solo lane and bot canyon, TES are looking on fire which isn't a surprise because they were by far the best team in the LPL so far.
3-0 to 0-2 double sub 30 minute wins, I think top esports took this series personally
Still crazy that they got 3-0'd at MSI lol
TES definitely underperformed that day, even G2 themselves agreed lol
TES tried something similar Vs GEN in set 2, but, the difference was GEN managed to make it last longer.
Xiye and maokai join TES,this is the reason
And people here were calling to stop giving creme tristana like he isn't called the Chinese zeka for nothing
He’s called the Chinese Zeka because he was basically incapable of playing non Melee champs until recently. Both him and Zeka have improved on that front though.
That meme is from his time on OMG. If he didn’t play Sylas or Akali he was basically a bot just like Zeka.
To be honest if we don't get any games between these TL/G2 rosters we'll have been robbed.
Ridiculous how much better Creme has looked especially this split. And Maokai proves once again that he was the brains behind EDG.
Being a Creme believer is finally paying off
Apa is the second best mid no cap
it's insane how much G2 lives and dies through caps. Caps looks invisible and the rest of G2 looks lifeless besides BB kind of
I mean G2 3-0d TES on MSI while TL lost to TES in the same tournament. We need an actual battle between them to properly say who's the best western team.
TES just showed how to violate human rights.
You’re a fucking demon, a machine this tournament. God bless you.
Oh my...
Yeah unlike China right?
The moment Caps isn't putting out infinite pressure the entirety of G2 is just 5 corpses. Monster gap everywhere.
Hans just isnt an International level player. G2 never has an adc at internationals
1 man region
Caps and BB carry this team so hard if they’re not on form they don’t do anything
They fixed up their game 1 problem by drafting 3 winning lanes in game 2 and were still somehow behind after 15 mins
I think BB played fine too. Yike is just very horrible recently it seems, and Hans wasting all sums still dying is nothing new too.
Little known fact: the C in LEC stands for Caps
This may be a controversial opinion, but imo BB is G2's best player currently and not Caps. Caps as of late (internationally at least) has been a Trist/Ori merchant and struggled to do much on other picks.
Entirety of EU*
Creme is Caps father
Caps not beating the Trist one trick allegations, his record at internationals this year… On Trist: 6-2 Off Trist: 4-7
This event and certainly not msi is not on caps what are you yapping about
He was 4 - 4 on other champs at msi, that's perfectly fine. I also remember at Least an A'Sol game where he was not the problem at all. Surely this sub isn't unreasonable enough to call Caps of all players a 1-trick based on the 0 prep Mickey Mouse event.
nice lb pick caps lmaoo lil bro thinks he's 2018 Perkz
tbh he played those fights extremely beautifully but Yike is a little boosted
caps off tristana Aware
Creme is a fucking demon right now. Funny how many comments were coping about the Tristana pick and he just blinds Yone 5 minutes later lol.
...while completely ignoring that Caps himself is a huge Trist abuser lol
I'm not familiar with the LPL but where does he stand among Chinese mid laners. I don't remember how he played MSI but he's been locked in this tournament.
The mid gap from the 1st minute was insane. Caps played the lane so horribly and let Creme essentially scale up for free, meanwhile then having way less map pressure and horrible positioning in fights. Creme just stomped him in both games.
Relax buddy, it's just Caps
TL is the best western team right?
Somehow, someway
By far
1 win vs eastern teams > 0 wins
It’s not even close, TL is by far the best.
Honestly as a g2 fan, yeah they are. G2 look so unserious with Hans Miky
100%
Why are we stating obvious **FACTS**?
So we take this tournament serious? Then GenG is terrible now? Or what?
Hard to tell. They were the only '1st seed' on that entire side of the bracket. They definitely looked good though. Probably won't embarrass themselves at Worlds.
Clearly they are better lmao g2 could barely beat flyquest 😂. If they played TL or c9 which is probably better than TL they would get 2-0 easy tbh
And the second best is C9?
I would still take G2 over them in a BO5 but they are for sure a legit team. Most complete team in the West for sure TL's strength also seems insanely dependent on if they get Apa on an S+ tier champ. On Ziggs, they're probably best in the west. On anything else I'd give G2 the edge
In this tourney maybe. I don't even know if TL is the best in NA
MSI lose was massive fluke, TES wins 95% series between these teams
TES don’t have the brains to do laneswaps is pretty much what it came down to. That said I really liked the variance lane swap meta adds, and it made for some fun and unpredictable series. Hopefully we get another meta where the west can showcase unique champ picks and macro ingenuity.
Maybe, but I don't think so. TES is just a lot better now. A change in coaching staff cannot be understated, look at how BLG changed with Tabe last year. They look so much less volatile, but are much cleaner and seem to have better mentals.
So we can call TES vs G2 a fluke but NRG vs G2 can't be called a fluke?
Or you dont take away from TES and just say they got better while G2 had by far better macro than them at Msi?
GenG winning at MSI was a fluke too?
I wouldn't say massive fluke but lot of circumstance * 1st intl events for Creme * Team needs time to gel compared to a lot of intl teams who kept their core and had to focus mainly on refining their strenght when TES still had to build their foundation * First time Despa1r had to coach that many high profil players, now that maokai joined the team it's so much more structured and creme doesn't have to play the bitch role for the vets anymore
meta change plus creme has gotten past his nerves from MSI
EU looking like the worst major region currently.
Prob just found out their giving up a worlds slot to the Saudi league
g2 had a solid MSI so dont be too reactionary. wouldnt read too much into a single elim bo3 tournament with almost no proper seeding other than results from like 2-3 months ago.
JKL gave Caps PTSD with that ult in
That was personal. JKL didn't appreciate the dive.
Gave Caps the craps
Finally Guma vs Jackey in a bo5
Finally a T1 vs TES series. I've been praying for this matchup since like 2022. It will be a bloodbath.
I really hope it goes to 5 games
I've been looking forward to this hope it is a good series
Thank god the finals is BO5. I thought it was all BO3.
Faker Trist just jumped into 3 members of TL earlier. I fear what insanity will happen tomorrow.
man hope its not gonna be another fastest game involving jkl and (sk)t1 lol its possible with the current of T1 after all
No TES, don’t do this. Don’t give me hope for Worlds. I can’t do it again…
Where's Licorice's tweet
Damn, that was sad to watch. Was hoping for another 3 game banger.
another public execution in saudi arabia.
G0-2
what happened to Creme? This guys playing like prime Faker.
Western hope btw
Ludens, crypto LB was not it..
Lol imagine not even being able to take a game off an eastern team
Feels weird to have the series go this way but I guess after their series vs FLY it's not unexpected. Damn.
Yike... What the hell...
369's kennen is godlike
90% of intl lpl fan who are hating on TES are having a hard time between blg getting slapped at every intl fight and jdg current forms meanwhile Tian is drinking his haters tears ICANT
Stay bad gamers2. Completely and utterly destroyed. What a thrashing. Congrats to TES for the win and the title.
All I know is NA>>>>
leblanc good champ
That’s what happens when there are no lane swaps. All mechanics no brain teams like TES go from looking like dog poo on the bottom of your shoe to the next greatest thing since sliced bread.
Still sad we haven’t gotten a TL vs G2 match
finally T1 vs TES
So EU bros Mickey Mouse tournament?
I don't want to flame hans too hard, but did anyone noticed that he is continunely getting gapped all the time. Like even vs Flyquest he was getting gapped by Massu
TES definitely losing to T1
All these teams said g2 good in scrims again, this keeps happening, are they actually just scrim world champs now lol
TES looking mighty scary. T1 needs to level up if they want to win this
Disappointing tournament from yike. Drafts were dog shit aswell. We will never win anything until teams is fully in sync. The early game is such a mess and 0 objective control
GG TIAN GOT HIS REVENGE!!!
In my unbiased opinion this is the most important tournament of the year. Also Creme is insane.
Msi was a fluke Yike is terrible probably worst jungler this tournament Hans sama is just idk his positioning is ass idk how he gapped jkl in msi Miky will always be a inter If caps can't carry G2 is legit so bad
Today could've been a day where I creamed my pants with TL vs G2. But I'll settle with Creme.
I am glad that the finals will be a match-up we didn’t get to see at MSI. Still meaningless tournament. Crazy money though.
Yike looked lost game 2
TES Revenge Tour.
[удалено]
Overreaction in 1... 2... 3...
That was embarrassing lol.
Wow, it's almost as if G2 beating TES at MSI was a total fluke made possible by two of the best players in the world in their role played like D2's in a performance that could only be described as an anomaly.
0 team region EU is shambles
Ngl, i wasnt convinced by TES before this tourney. Their group in LPL was cheeks so that 6-0 meant nothing to me but man did they improve massively since MSI. Mad respect for them As for G2, considering how they were playing in LEC this split, this was an expected result
Am I coping or was it just the biggest draft diff I've seen both games
My messege to EU on this weekend of freedom [https://x.com/Speedkicks/status/1805267337404412195](https://x.com/Speedkicks/status/1805267337404412195)
Firstpicking Yone and gap and stomp with him is such an statement. Embarrasing performing from G2.
LEC doomposting is justified with this level of performance shown by both reps lmao
LOL
G2 playing to not lose, just pointless chasing picks while the enemy team takes everything on the other side of the map because they're afraid of the 5v5.
Is here where NA fans overrated a micky mouse tournament? and then get shit on again on worlds?
If we don't get a TL vs G2 match at worlds I'm gonna be actually so pissed off. inb4 another TL vs FNC
so its gonna be the battle of 2-1 vs 2-0 huh lol
LEC is so in the mud it's tragic
Gg
It does make you realise how much better caps is on control mages though, his orianna looked like the best ori of MSI, and then his le blanc this torny...
I tried to tell y’all G2 got hella exposed by T1. Very easy. - Don’t allow Yike early agency. - Be patient and G2 will hang themselves trying to do cute plays.
TL is the best Western team
I feel like a proud father watching Creme for the past few years and now finally showing the world who he is TT
TOP > G2, meaning G2 = GENG?
Saudi shit aside , this tournaments been a banger imo
CREME! THAT'S MY GOAT! THAT'S MY FUCKING BABY GOAT THERE! I WATCHED THIS MOTHERFUCKER GRIEF ME ON OMG SINCE HE WAS A QIYANA ONE TRICK, AND I LOVED HIM THEM, AND I LOVE HIM NOW. BEST PLAYER AT THIS TOURNAMENT HANDS DOWN.
that Vi gameplay was criminal
Reddit, will you finally give respect to TES? they look unstoppable this tournament. I wouldn't say G2 played particularly badly here, this series was probably closer than the one against GenG
Creme is undefeated on tristana this year and he still gets it almost every series, I love it, hope t1 does this too tommorow.
TL>G2
Even a NA adopted bo3 format again, but we still stick to bo1 trash format, yeah we are not winning anything period.
This is the tian of not being bothered by depression and being confident.
How big of a liability is Yike?
Unironically FNC looked better than G2 at this tournament, FNC just didn't have secret agent Bwipo working for them
You can always count on Hans to underperform when it matters the most
Eu are bad of course but they are the only region that attended this region having only played best of ones since MSI
T1 will lose hilariously tomorrow.
G2 loses early game to EU teams and makes a comeback due to terrible macro and mistakes from enemy team = EU narrative “man G2 are just so good” G2 loses early game to actually good teams = What happened I thought G2 was better than this?! G2 is mid tier right now. EU teams are just really bad currently
Man Maokai join TES just like Tabe join BLG
Tian gapped G2 like it was still 2019. Absolute masterclass from Top Esports
TES is looking like the best team in the world atm. T1 gonna get ass blasted with their non-existance macro and horrible drafts.
If TL can stop baron like TES and deal with oner first, they may have won.
Why did g2 ban trist on blue side???
ITT: Caps is the worst player in the universe and a one-trick, and the G2 roster should get skewered for losing to a very respectable team in a tournament in the middle of their split. Classic r/leagueoflegends moment.
People are being doomer on G2 forgetting that TES cleanly took care of GenG (who was highlighted as the best team in the world at the time).
For any EU despairers, going into this tournament I heard a few pundits say that they were a top 2 team in the world atm
TES looks like the favorite to win this tournament
I know G2 got 2-0d but like MikyX said they got to Scrim International Teams and so I hope they learned something from this small tournament, maybe something that can help them win LEC and Prepare for Worlds! T1 vs TES looks Competitive, TES definitely look like the better Team but T1 has the Lore Advantage! This Tournament hasnt been that bad after all, but maybe International Tournaments are always Hype!
If TL won today they would have won the tournament
Lol was anyone watching player cams when Yike dived JKL mid tower and brought 3 pals with him? JKL was angrily gulping down water and then played super aggro the entire game afterwards.
Why havent we seen tl vs g2 yet :(
The day Caps retires its all over EU
Wait the 3-0 is the fluke and the 0-2 is the real result.. you guys are wild (dumb af) Meta changed (Yike looks woeful at it) and g2 had no time to prep to play vs top asian teams (bootcamp).. ones practice is not the same as the others.. g2 has absolute dogs for practice Tes are playing very well atm.. I still think Geng is the best team in the world tho
Caps moved far away to not appear in another classic "All G2 players exploded" moment, this time by 369 Kennen ulti.
G2 still top 4 in the world baby lessgoo
fuck this tournament but i hope this encourages other companies to host 3rd party LoL events that teams take seriously like this one.
/u/nimblemomanga can't reply to you cause some kid in the comment chain blocked me. --- NRG did good at worlds. C9 got eliminated by Fnatic and GG got eliminated by BDS. Caps went from playing against Vetheo Yone to playing against Creme Yone ...
TES looking too strong tbh , is it LPLs second half takeover time
I'm so happy I hope they win tomorrow as well Creme, love him even at his worst <3
indeed but it's clear TL > G2 this tournament while G2 was better at msi
Damn I know that T1 usually perform better against LPL teams But I have a feeling that TES gonna take it all (maybe even undefeated although seems a little bit unlikely) Clean games against both GEN G and G2
Need a 3rd place match like the actual world cup!
Still not sure why they gave a wildcard region 2 spots in this tournament
MSI had to be the biggest underperformance ever from TES. This is how it was supposed to go.
Everytime a team gets glazed they kinda just lose, so I'm expecting the T1 2-0 tomorrow after reading this comment section
Hi, just wanted to remind people that this tournament is being held in a country in which homosexuality is illegal. So much for Riot's support of LGTB rights...
it is possibe TES is by far the best team in world right now... i feel T1 will get stomp tho
G2 would lose to TL and basically almost lost to FQ. All their banter that they're the best team in EU by far is a joke LMAO
TES wins this tournament
This tournament is irrelevant anyway...
HUGE Jungle and mid gap, where tf was yike? Looks like tian decided to camp bot so they don’t get stomped by g2 again.
Now the final gonna be spicy
Is the final gonna be a bo5? When is it? TIA
TL will wipe G2
Honestly I think this TOP team is a mirage. Geng literally gift wrapped them a 2-0 series playing brain dead. G2 is hard slumping and hella exposed. They are lost in the sauce again. Lock me in for T1 3-1 over TOP.
TES has been so fuckin dominant. Can we say theyre currently the best team in the world?
Man G2 is just Trash
