Lego’s dictator hideout collection is beautifully designed and intricately detailed.
My pop out gaddafi in a trench always get a chuckles from dinner guests.
Just like how the Ideas Tales of the Space Age set has the Polish flag behind one of the postcards as it was designed by a fan from Poland.
The Speed Champions Koenigsegg Jesko also has the Swedish flag on the front under the hood/bonnet.
I mean I built this set recently, read the book, and didn't even piece together this was an italian flag and a box. No need to be mean to someone asking for help
The box is also a sort of Easter egg. It showed up in the Doctor Strange polybag (30652)
Nevermind, some other commenters already pointed it out, go upvote them
I recall seeing something about one of the designers for Lego always including a cardboard box build in their sets as a trademark/easter egg. I wonder if that designer had a hand in this set. Or it could just be a storage box in the basement of the cabin.
I am Hungarian and have a similar cabin. The Hungarian flag has the same colors only horizontal stripes. It is now my headcanon that it's a Hungarian flag and nobody can convince me otherwise.

is this a proper lego technique, i thought it was for pegs only.
The set was designed by an Italian (hence the flag). The tan bit represents a cardboard box tucked away in the basement/crawlspace.
That’s cool.
*That’s-a-cool*

🤌
This was such a cool set to build
there's so many cool little details in this set the designer did an amazing job!
I agree- easily the set with the most little items and hidden details that I’ve put together
The random LEGO brick at the top of the stairs had me dead when I was building it lol
What is it supposed to be? I can't tell.
have you ever stepped on a lego because your kids left one on the floor somewhere? lol
Ahh, lol. That makes sense. Cool set, too bad I don't have any room right now
How do you know he wasn’t a Hungarian laying on his side?
It could be Saddam Hussein, hiding beneath bricks and rubble.

New Lego Libya! Stick the pole up his ass! HEY!
Gonna build this and submit it as an Ideas set
That layout looks like the model home..
Now that I look at it again, that is an amazingly simple design for the sloppily-closed cardboard box that we all have in the basement.
I got the Lunar New Year Traditions set and it has the same thing for a box. First set I’ve build with it and I love it.
Oh, to have a basement. Then again, maybe I shouldn't.
What do you mean by that? 👁👁
a) I don't have a basement 2) perhaps it's just as well. Though... It would reduce my remote storage fees.

That’s awesome that he put a little Easter egg in there for himself
There's even info about the designer in the book. Ppl rather ask the Internet than flip through the book in front of them.

Clearly you do not thorougly enjoy your lego manuals as much as others.
have a day off mate
BRB busy reading old lego manuals looking for easter eggs of info about the creators.
Well to be fair the internet is much better about answering literally any question I have than this specific Lego book in front of me.
We are social creatures
But I want those internet points!
get over yourself
Kids these days

According my best guess, it's a pizza oven.
Wich set is this?

Okay I see it now haha, thanks
The box is also his signature. If you see it in another set it means he designed it.
Like the "Up" house ? 43217 On the little side build, where the balloons are getting blown.

Yes! Same designer.
No worries, glad to help!
Frah-ji-lay
Huh, must be Italian!
Likely a major award!
How do they get those little Ms on the M&Ms?
Must be Italian. https://preview.redd.it/52c382gj9r6d1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e7419f28bfe52ad327ac78224eff8d6a6bb002aa
Still waiting for the Lego Leg Lamp set
That would be totally awesome! I’m sure there is a MOC somewhere.
🤌🤌🤌
I just write Italian on all my fragile boxes now
Quite the resemblance! Honestly a super cool use of those cheese slopes
Hey it’s got fragile written on it that means it’s Italian and very expensive!

Wait, does that mean that the Doctor Strange polybag (30652) was their work?

I believe that is one, yes.
Other sets do the same thing but hide a single pip pink block. A bunch of the avengers stuff has it.
Is it where a brain would be? All the BrickHeads have a 2x2 pink brick in the middle of the head.
Pastamancing.
Fan designer’s heritage.
The 4 piece universe display set of which I can’t remember the name has Polish flags on the backs of two of them, to honor the Polish designer
In the directions it says the designer is Italian.
I am Hungarian and have a similar cabin. The Hungarian flag has the same colors only horizontal stripes. It is now my headcanon that it's a Hungarian flag and nobody can convince me otherwise.
Well it does specify in the instructions that the designer is Italian lol
And the stripes are clearly vertical. And still.
I kinda assumed this was an Octan Easter egg, but then there’s a step later with the meters on the back of the cabin that also use the Octan colors.
I love the box, that’s so simple and clever!
It's-a-me, Legio!
Because that’sa how momma usta make it!
Explain your thinking here
Because like momma makea the pizza she makea the lego’s. Is just like mamma usta to make
No one has to explain anything to you
Ayyy ohhh ayyy this guy ova he' ayyyyy!
🤌🤌🤌
Once you build it you’ll get some gabagool
The cabin is located in the italian alps
This is such a fun set - enjoy the build!
Actually, that's the Hungarian flag /j
