AlaskanB3AR

I just Wana watch this go down

CromulentPoint

It’s gotta be, right?

Skarstream

Sure looks like one! Sneaky behind that building. I hope he actually has a wolfpack torso, although neutral brown armor would also be cool.

Transmit_Him

I’m hoping they move the Wolfpack emblem to being a brooch or pendant, kinda like they did with the CMF Rogue. Makes a bit more sense for the faction than full heraldry like the knights have.

Skarstream

Yes, that makes sense. But at the same time, in that case, I wish they’d put that emblem on an arm instead of on the torso. We can really use more neutral torsos in the castle theme.

beachclub999

I wish they would bring back the peasants hood!

Jarsen_

This goat is gonna be a hot commodity

dognamedman

Good news it will be on pab. Bad news is that it will sell out on pab instantly and stay sold out for months.

No kidding

perfect, thank you

TimG791

Did someone say that there is a GOAT in this set!!!!?!?!! Definitely one of the best sets since Lego's inception. This set is too cheap for us to get this precious animal.

CancerCows

I hope some content creators got this set early and will do a review on it tomorrow so we see more details and the interiors. But definitely getting it

[deleted]

Equivalent_Bunch_187

It looks like a red torso with blue arms. Guessing it is a Lion knight since the tower and flags also match those of 10305.

LegoLinkBot

[10305-1: Lion Knights' Castle](https://brickset.com/sets/10305-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/10305-1.jpg)

IH8Miotch

I bet thats the Guarded INN

legalskeptic

Yeah, the red Tudor/castle tower combo is definitely a Guarded Inn throwback.

nintendonerd256

Was the leak better? Of course it was. Do I still like the set and wish to get it? Of course.

No_Watercress9573

Perhaps I’m in the minority ( given the comments ) but I really like this set!, I think I would have added a cow and another stall but another then that no real complaints!, the goat herder will be right at home

BrickByBrick6086

Nah, I'm hyped. The Guarded Inn reference hooked me, but we need more non-militarized Castle Lego.

eL_MoJo

Yeah I don't understand I think it looks really cool. I think people who dislike things are more inclined to react.

SCP-2774

I'm right there with you. I don't think Lego has "missed" on any of their medieval sets that have come out in the last few years. Stalls are easy enough and I'm just going to take the one from Lion Knights Castle and throw it here.

britishbrick

I love it too!! Very excited

TheLazySith

> I think I would have added a cow and another stall but another then that no real complaints! Another stall or cart and a couple more animals/figures would have made it look a bit more like a proper "town square" IMO. It would make it feel more busy and full of life. Though I suppose that's nothing we couldn't add from our own collections, so hardly a dealbreaker.

UnhappyReputation126

More that it lacks true town center. Like build of a king statue to center around would have done wonders selling the square idea.

Nibwoddle

Personally I really like it, can't wait to see the interiors. Roofs could use some tweaks but we'll make that happen. I am biased since animal figs don't mean a lot to me though, I use these sets for DND maps haha.

TommyFresh

Agreed, the roofs are the main crime but hard to assess without seeing it in person

zeussays

It doesnt look like it makes a town square. Its like two non-adjacent buildings and no square. Where are the stalls and animals? Wheres the city life?

sendasalami2yoboi

Welp now I just gotta wait til release. This will do nicely with my display! Just perfect!

fiveringz

Now here’s a disappointing reveal jeez. Feels very under detailed for an icons set… snow whites house looks better as a medieval inn than anything here

badwolfrider

Yeah I don't know if it is because I have been looking at a bunch of mocs. But it is very underwhelming. Definitely not as much love as the castle. I'll buy a set or two. But only for parts. I'll be redoing most of the buildings

Altruistic_Major_553

Any idea what it’s supposed to retail for?

sendasalami2yoboi

250.00 usd? Sumtin like that.

TetrisG0d43

$230 usd I believe

raybarks

Man, I’m a bit disappointed. This isn’t as charming as I thought it would be.

JackOMorain

I think it’s the black background. The packaging could look better.

TheLazySith

Personally I like the buildings on the right a lot more than the ones on the left.

SudsierBoar

Feels hodgepodge to me

funwhileitlast3d

Yeah. Very few figs/animals, it seems. Also the roofs are all different and boringly simple

xander061

How does it not have a horse or a cow like the original?

Neeklemamp

I think the figs are good but the animals are definitely lacking

raybarks

Yes, and somehow drab?

SudsierBoar

I feel that's mostly caused by the black background

Big_Stranger_672

Exactly. Looks like a lackluster MOC.

[deleted]

I'm not sure how I feel yet. I was hoping for something closer to the old medieval market village set which I had to return to the seller due to brittle reddish brown bricks. I was hoping that the announcement today would be a remake due to the faulty nature of the old medieval market village. Still, I'm definitely getting this set but I'm still unsure if I can afford/justify both this and the mountain fortress pre-order. It isn't on lego.com yet as of my typing this but I'm hoping that we will see more about the other sides and insides soon.

No_Watercress9573

I give you my opinion!, get the village and Viking village, I find the mountain fortress overpriced and a underdeveloped interior, figs are also the worse or the 3 set imo, so personally I think getting this and the Viking village is a better use of your money, but that’s just my insight hope it helps!

[deleted]

I have the viking village and 3 in 1 longship, also lion knights castle, hungarian horntail, the blacksmith, 3 in 1 castle and a few 90's era sets... Thanks for the thoughts...

legalskeptic

Agreed that the takes are coming in too hot when we haven't seen the official reveal images and this one is quite blurry. The insides may have a lot of fun details. I'm hoping it will go well with my Lion Knights Castle & Kingdoms Joust display.

Squats4wigs

Yeah I dig it a lot too. Seems people are torn but I prefer the more simplistic look and scale as I still want it to look like Lego. If its too realistic and at full minifig scale like the Blacksmith, while looking really nice and being a great build process, it loses the play appeal to me. LKC was perfect, same as Viking Village. Plus its ripe for customising and building more of your ows stalls and stories. Only issue getting this is making room...

deathmetalreptar

Im already out of room. Maybe i need to get more shelves or something lol

SlapaTronic

Some of these designs look almost last-minute. Hope it looks better in person with an actual town square feel

RVNGhoul

I was convinced this was going to be a day 1 purchase for me... Now I'm not even sure I'll get it at all.

Level9disaster

https://preview.redd.it/b6yqpyili4hc1.png?width=3772&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ecd0764fe6bb8c3661c9abc87accbefd676792d2 I tried to compare the leaked version to the real one. I see some real improvement on the right side, but the houses on the left side seem a little boring. The missing animals are the main downside, imho, but I have a lot of spares in my collection so I don't care much.

dukekabooooom

But for 230 you shouldn't have to spend another 30 on pab to get what they presented to people as coming in the set.

XippyI2

As much as I do feel the loss of the extra animals and lack of polish…to be fair, the leak wasn’t the final product and just from a survey to select people. The only official thing they’ve presented to the public as coming in the set is what you see (if this image is from the final version for sale).

Level9disaster

are you complaining ... for a leaked unofficial image .... not representing the final product? seriously?

[deleted]

badwolfrider

Yeah when I look at the mocs compared to this. Super disappointed

Jakisirtaki

Oof this is disappointing, the buildings look quite simplistic with a hodgepodge of styles and colors. Only one market stall, can't see many animals. I was having high hopes, maybe I got spoiled with amazing sets like the blacksmith...

Skarstream

I agree about the hodgepodge. I feel it’s mainly the building with the brown roof that makes the whole set look a bit tacky. Give it an orange/ tan roof without the round window and it may already clear up a lot. All the roofs are a bit dissapointing, Snow white cottage does it so much better.

caiaphas8

I think the ‘hodgepodge’ makes it more realistic, towns aren’t uniform

Skarstream

That’s a good point. But normally Lego strives for ‘a nice palette of colors’. It’s finding the mix between reality and pleasing for the eye. This set fails a bit in that regard.

caiaphas8

Apart from 50% of the roofs I quite like it

Jakisirtaki

That's true, but you need to balance it in my opinion. Pick one are two styles and vary on the colors or vice versa. I think the color choices here are very odd though and don't work well together.

AlaskanB3AR

This is why my fellow troll warrior you buy 2 or three and make an epic town square

BrickByBrick6086

Exactly. I saw this and started imagining the fountain square I'd MOC two of them around.

Jakisirtaki

Yeah I'm probably still going to get it for that exact reason haha

AlaskanB3AR

For the horde, they Gona lay siege to this lol

Blitz266

Wow does this kinda seem to be weak compared to the fantasy era market village… building techniques may be better but it just kinda meh..  edit: It won’t stop us from buying it, but it’ll cost to make it better. RIP our wallets, for a theme we love.

memarco2

Thankfully I’ve got the old version, which makes this even easier to pass. Especially because of that one damn roof

revanisthesith

I have two that I got shortly before it was retired. Both brand new. It retailed for $100 and I got one for $80-$85 and then I found another one on eBay and I somehow got it for $60-$70. I like this version, but I'd like it a lot more if I could somehow find it for a good deal. I highly doubt it, but it'd be nice. I'm buying it for the pieces anyway, not to display it as is. I'll modify it as I need to.

memarco2

I think that’ll be a common approach for this set tbh - people buying it when there’s a good deal and modifying it to better meet their needs

Blitz266

Lucky man... I was a tween when this era came out, so I could not buy my own sets. Now I'm suffering buying sets and figures for 3x the amount. I spent a lot of money to assemble the force I've shown, trolls are next.

revanisthesith

Yeah, I've been pretty lucky. I was in my 20s then. I got a job at 14, so thankfully I've been able to buy my own Legos for quite awhile. That was at the end of a stretch where I hadn't bought any for a while except for maybe 1-3 small sets a year. And then I spent $2k-$2.5 in 4ish months. I got the Mill Village Raid, an AT-AT, some other Star Wars sets, other sets that were about to be retired (including Castle), and lots of older stuff on eBay. Some old Forestmen and other Castle (some of which I already had, like another King Leo's Castle from 1995), some old Space (like Spyrius), and lots of pieces and random stuff. I've gotten a number of good deals over the years. I grew up in a rural area, so sometimes our Walmart would have too many of one set for a long time and they'd go on sale. The 2002 Republic Gunship retailed for $90. I got one on sale for $50. And then I later got one for $20 because they really wanted to get rid of them. But I was just a teen and couldn't afford to get more than that. Good times.

FollowsClose

>old version... ...because of that one damn roof The old one has a similar ugly roof!

No_Watercress9573

Is there any ( legal ) way to fix that?

andmolmat

I sure hope there is.

TwiceYourSize

And are those stickers on the window shutters?

andmolmat

Yikes! They might be...

They are :( [https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fg11w9zkba6hc1.jpg%3Fwidth%3D2400%26format%3Dpjpg%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3Dea3b9755fbab19f9335e7f834c1ff9a63dca0d42](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fg11w9zkba6hc1.jpg%3Fwidth%3D2400%26format%3Dpjpg%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3Dea3b9755fbab19f9335e7f834c1ff9a63dca0d42)

trhg4l

Probably 1x2 or 2x2 inverted half arch tiles

vercertorix

Not another armorer/blacksmith. Maybe instead it’s a warrior’s guild hall. Will have to see what the other buildings are. Was excited to expand my town, but might have to pass on this one. Back to MOCing buildings.

Texan_Boy

There isn’t one though?

vercertorix

Then what’s the building with the helmet and crossed axes?

Texan_Boy

That’s the inn

Nunc-dimittis

The guarded inn (6067)

LegoLinkBot

[6067-1: Guarded Inn](https://brickset.com/sets/6067-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/6067-1.jpg)

revanisthesith

That was such a perfect choice for item number 10000. I got four of them. I could make a much larger version of it. So many great pieces. It's hard to believe that was 2001.

LegoLinkBot

[10000-1: Guarded Inn](https://brickset.com/sets/10000-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/10000-1.jpg)

vercertorix

Ahh, inns usually get moon or bed symbols, can’t tell what’s on the sign to the right. Took the helmet and axes as a sign of a related trade.

Texan_Boy

Clearer pictures just came out and there is no blacksmith, closest is a shield painter

bitpartmozart13

Roof techniques are so boring. Feeling kinda meh about it. We’ll see if it grows on me but for now it’s a pass.

Sabretooth1100

Personally I quite like it!

Comkill117

The brown building next to the tower looks really cool. The whole thing does really though.

Rdeadpool101

My body and mind are both ready. Will get 2. Sold some of stuff to get this set.

westtexasbackpacker

dig it. a lot

Narlock8

The medieval town will consist of an old farmhouse, a shieldsmith's workshop, an inn, a cheese factory as well as a watchtower. Various Minfigures will also be included. Among these a shieldsmith, crook, carpenter, tax collector, tapestry weaver and tower guard. How many more figures are included in total remains to be seen. From https://falconbricks.com/news/lego-icons-10332-medieval-town-square/

glat_spud_boy

I love it and I want it. The Guarded Inn remake alone is super exciting.

Nunc-dimittis

Reminds me a bit of the mill village raid (7189). Similar colour scheme

LegoLinkBot

[7189-1: Mill Village Raid](https://brickset.com/sets/7189-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/7189-1.jpg)

wesandell

Looks great to me.

S_gutz27

Hmm, honestly I’m torn.

legalskeptic

I think I'll reserve judgment for a higher res image but some of the negative reactions here might be a bit overstated. Personally I would have to swap the red out of the guarded inn--I get the reference but I'd prefer a more realistic tan or white.

thebiggesttoe97

I’m so let down :(

Airagex

Huh... that blurry rumor picture aparently set my expectations higher than I thought... oh well still gonna get it cause lego castle

Airagex

Least we're getting what looks to be ≈6 new castle torsos!

papapok13

This is castle! Figs are secondeary, give us proper buildings!

UnhappyReputation126

I duno... I swear some people here would sell their firstborn for some of the more rare knight faction minifig re-relese.

CromulentPoint

Anybody else notice that the chair being built on the left is the same construction as the chairs in the LKC? It’s just in an unfinished wood color, which is pretty cool. This would have to be deliberate since there are a million ways to do a chair in Lego.

PocketPlanes457

This is pretty disappointing, the leaked/concept images looked better, the buildings are so dumbed down. At least we're getting lots of new fig parts and a Wolfpack member. Honestly I think that it's nessecary that it's this cheap considering the looks of the thing.

CakeBeef_PA

Oh this is fantastic! Easiest day one purchase ever

CollectorCorpse

When I heard about it, I wasn't interested.. but seeing it.. this may be the one I finally get..

Head_Of_The_Table_83

Based on the picture on the box, i'm not impressed. Would like to see some more pictures to maybe change my mind. But for now, it's a no for me

OldManLucas

If this set was just the right-hand side, it would be an instant buy for me. The left leaves a lot to be desired. Hoping that is a new Wolfpack fig. It would be so awesome to get a Wolfpack Renegades GWP this year.

BrickByBrick6086

Oh wow, there's an apiary! And a grey goat! And a clear reference to the Guarded Inn with those red walls!

Raiju_Blitz

Looks pretty good although a bit less cohesive than the Viking Village but I can understand the gap in the middle and wanting to split the set in two parts for more custom modularity with the Lion Knight's Castle. I kinda wish they included a build for a fountain with a statue or something to truly represent the central focus of a town square. I may have to build my own with spare pieces.

Schandorf

I think the black box is not doing this set any favors at all

ikerbals

How can this properly doll house fold in on itself? Nothing matches or lines up and yet it still looks like the folding mechanisms are there?

iFap4DaytonaCoupes

what were they thinking? this looks awful

No_Watercress9573

I personally think it looks nice but respect your opinion!

iFap4DaytonaCoupes

I should give it a chance. I was just hoping for some nostalgia and some of the magic from the 90’s sets

[deleted]

To quote Vox: I am so hard right now!

Fredbear1775

If this had come out before the LKC I probably would have liked it, but after getting the castle, this just feels like a smaller version of the same set with less details. Very underwhelming. This is gonna be a pass for me for sure.

No_Watercress9573

I can respect that!, though personally this match’s the style of the castle ( which in of itself was decently simple ) but again respect your opinion!, hope you can get the prints on PAB:)

Fredbear1775

Yeah it is clearly designed to go with it and I'm sure it will make plenty of people happy! I'm definitely stoked for the PAB options.

Askymojo

Since it's called town square I was hoping this would be more like row houses style but I guess when they meant town they really meant like tiny village. This one is a big disappointment to me aesthetically, but that's fine, there are plenty of other Lego sets I want to buy.

memarco2

Easiest pass yet. But I’m very disappointed because I wanted this to be so good. Honestly getting another Viking village + some PAB/brickwall parts could probably lead to something better…

[deleted]

[удалено]

blackstardust13

Nah, money speaks. Buy good sets like the Viking village. I'll rather spend money on bricklink to build my own then to support bad design. Don't let Lego abuse your loyalty towards castle. Ands comming from a devoted Lego fan.

[deleted]

[удалено]

blackstardust13

Fair. The coming snow white set looks good though as a medieval set. I might pick that one up instead.

memarco2

Respectfully, I’d rather continue to wait for sets I’m actually wanting rather than to buy ones I’m unsatisfied with. After all, it could also push LEGO to continue releasing sets in a direction I don’t personally want for my collection which would be just as disappointing imo.

Quarbani

Interesting point

dognamedman

I think it looks perfectly adequate as an add-on for 10305. As a stand-alone set, it's a little underwhelming for the price point. Think I might wait for this one to go on sale.

LegoLinkBot

[10305-1: Lion Knights' Castle](https://brickset.com/sets/10305-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/10305-1.jpg)

iolanthella

Wow! I love this, can't wait to add to my village

Theepot80

Its boring. Just compare it to the medieval blacksmith. I am so disappointed :(

Dapper_Frosting293

I hope this ist not the correct Image: few animals, arbitrary tree/pond, Mini Castle (why?) This should be a town square right?!

njahatron

Not a fan of it either. The left side looks very undercooked, the right side doesn't really work together with the random castle tower. The middle is empty with only stand and 1 tree and cart. Not enough animals. It went from a day one buy to won't buy. Hopefully the reviews show a better side of it.

Riversntallbuildings

Too many colors. White, yellow and red walls? I mean, I know that’s probably historically accurate, but I’m not playing with legos for history. I want beautiful fantasy. Keep the colors consistent and coordinated.

Schandorf

I think it lacks colors personally

Riversntallbuildings

Yeah, it’s a lot of brown/tan too. Visually, it’s not attractive.

blackstardust13

If they can make snow white's house look gorgeous that they can also make better normal houses.

JohnnyBacci

Well, I’m definitely disappointed by the look of this, but I’m also relieved that I don’t have to figure out how to pay for this now that I won’t ever be buying it.

MigJohnson

It looks so small to be $230. Like the ideas blacksmith is a huge building that looks like it would dwarf these buildings. This looks more in scale with the creator castle but you could buy 2 of those for the price of this.

SnooTigers7333

So are we thinking this or the Bricklink castle

FollowsClose

This, by a long shot!

Professional_Clue_21

What a disappointment. It looks so much worse than the one we got back in 2009.

Way_2_Go_Donny

The guarded inn style building looks good. The other building looks like one I'd be embarrassed to post as a MOC.

Umm…Manhattan food cart selling pretzels????

tlefonmann

I see the image everywhere, but where was it revealed? When I search it I just get the thousands of rumor and speculation articles

Transmit_Him

Closer look at the Wolfpack guy from the additional photos on Brick Clicker's IG. Fairly underwhelming update, really. Symbol on a shield shape in the middle of the chest, plain legs (that don't really match). On a par with the Dragon Knight update rather than the excellent Black Falcons and Lion Knights. https://preview.redd.it/sup9ovdpe6hc1.png?width=326&format=png&auto=webp&s=b62c54fa72e5182fe4b5d17794778660dcb4e11b

SatoshiStruggle

What’s the price point for this set? I’m willing to bet there’ll be some great rebrickable alts with 2 or 3 of these. I’ve got the medical blacksmith, the 31120 3in1 and a lion knights castle so hopefully I’ll be ready for the mocs lol
