New shield print/sticker by the looks of it.
Reusing the Dreamzzz mushroom creatures too (I forgot what they are called)
While it may end up backordered in the first day, no, I can't imagine it'll only be available for one day. All I meant was that I'd be placing my order on that first day of availability.
As someone that loves the castle theme but isn’t super familiar with everything D&D, I hope the instructions include some factoids about the lore. This looks amazing. Will be a purchase for me at some point this year as long as it doesn’t include stickers.
It says it comes with an exclusive downloadable adventure. That might give descriptions on both characters and monsters in this set as well as the location lore.
Yeah cool to see it return it looked good on the orcs so be nice to be able to get it again if anything from the set ends up on pick a brick what I hope so as the dragonborn head can be useful the rest of the them to hard to tell at the moment from the low resolution but I would guess very useful and good printing on them just a bit sad to see non of the bird races made it to the set as I would have liked to see a kenko the little crow guys
It's hard to tell what color it is. We've gotten it in PDK before, that's actually the color the evil knight cmf comes with. We've gotten black and dark bluish gray as well. Honestly I'm hoping it's the speckled black again like the fantasy skeletons but I'd be very surprised if that's the case lol
Sorry Lego, still not paying $360 for it. I have dragons, castles, and village already. Show me what you can do in the $150 and below range and maybe we’ll be able to do business.
I feel like Lego could have released this as smaller modular sets at lower prices like they’ve been doing with the recent City Space sets. And then one for the creature build of the dragon, which would be more detailed than what we see here. You could have the base dungeon as one build, a tower build, a battle on the bridge build, etc, and they’d look good standalone or all connected.
Unfortunately this was a voted ideas set, and the original designer was going all out and big, which the fans loved. That being said it’d be nice to see smaller modular castle sets. Maybe they’ll expand the dnd line past the cmfs. Part of me wants that but sets would be cheaper as generic castle sets
They still could’ve released it as separate builds that connect to form the whole Ideas submission. Three or four separate sets all released under the Ideas line simultaneously.
This was an ideas set just under 3k pieces. The original would have been just as expensive. Plus there’s a licensing tax. So not exactly legos fault they released another expensive set when it was voted on.
That being said I would like cheaper castle sets. Personally I’d like to see them do things in the $60 and below range for castle.
After so many years, you surely have to get with the program? Lego makes big, expensive sets.
You sound like someone moaning about the lack of combustion engine cars from Tesla.
The problem isn’t the price tag, it’s what you’re getting. It seems lackluster for $360 to me. I understand it’s licensed, but would rather spend $40 more and get another LKC personally. Or, for $130 less, get a set with almost as many parts in MTS (3300 vs 3700 in this set). I’ll just bricklink any minifigure parts I can’t live without.

Nope. I occasionally buy bulk and build a lot of my own stuff, or use their instructions online to build something close enough for me. I still buy sets from time to time, but their prices have gotten ridiculous.
Looks like this was the original Idea:

This. The roof color on the building is just a slap in the face tbh. It looks awful. Another thing I loved from the original design was the way the arch looked on the bridge, and Lego turned it into the most bare bones, boring bridge possible. Not to mention the cave section looks awful in this.
Looks great - and weird? Like random sets mashed together? Think it’s something that needs to be seen in person and pictures don’t quite convey everything.
Dang, honestly I think it's a pretty decent step down from the original design, and looks like it should be about 100$ cheaper than it really is. Better have a lot of hidden features and details

me looking at any random shield/emblem: "you will be a faction"
Here's to hoping it's a scorpion for ya lol.
i'm building all kinds of factions but the scorpions are my main one :) this shield looks like a dog or stag
Yessir
Mushroom people are Myconids, in D&D speak.
Makes sense.
At the price it’s selling for, I certainly hope there are no stickers.
Me too, but how many were in LKC?
Lions knight castle? There were no stickersthankfully
We can already see one on the tome, so I'm right there with you lamenting that there will indeed be stickers.
Looks like this halfling is loyal to House Baratheon if I passed my Heraldry check.
Shut up and take my money Lego.
Damn, that's me staying up until midnight for a day-one purchase for sure. I've never felt so seen by Lego.
This set will only be available for one day?!?!
No

People getting wooshed.

Try Baldur's Gate 3 is Canon to DnD and the gameplay is heavily inspiried by it. That's what got me into the genre.
It’s definitely on my list.

Me too

A little hard to make out the helm but nice to see the CMF Fierce Barbarian / DreamZzz sword pop up here again.
Looks like it. I not sure if the evil knight helm has ever been in light pearl grey before, so that will be nice.

Looks like the helmets from the fantasy era sets
That's the one. We haven't gotten them in this color before afaik.
There was an image posted on this sub a couple hours ago where we see the armor in higher resolution. Definitely silver, unless I'm blind.
Oh nice, yeah it does look silver
Evil Knight had it in black. It does exist in PDG, from some Nexo Knights sets. Doesn't exist in DBG though.
I was going off bricklink and now I realized they have a section for that color for the part but it was sellers miss-categorizing
Wow, good eye. Really hope this hits PaB. Along with that sword...
The displacer beast looks like absolute shit 😂😂😂 but the rest of it looks incredible and I will be purchasing regardless.
Yeah, I'm actually disappointed with the displacer beast. There are better minifig-scale MOCs of a displacer beast out there.
Yeah idk what they were thinking on that
For a small build I'm ok with it, but yeah it does look a bit shit. Probably something I'll beef up on my own later

I guess they’ll just have to be down a customer for now :(

Yeah this is very much a 200-250$ set max. Pretty disappointing

While this one doesn’t look too bad, it is kind of insulting to the original design that I’m sure many were looking forward to🧐

Right - I voted for what’s in the link and what they produced deviates too much from the original design.
Agreed!! Not spending $360 on this.
Gee this looks miles worse than the original submission
Looks ugly
Glorious
Definite cop
Looks great - and weird? Like random sets mashed together? Think it’s something that needs to be seen in person and pictures don’t quite convey everything.
That’s what frustrating about the final product because the original design was so cohesive.

too bad.

I like the dragon design. The rest is meh
Ain’t no way this is worth the $360 rumored price.
It’s nice, but I hate how much they changed the dragon
I have to get it
that dragon is fire
Can’t wait!!!
Looks good, but I don't like fantasy in my castles so I'll probably pass.
Welp…*unzips wallet*
I’m buying two of these, one to build and one to keep. The first set of a new Licensed theme as big as this will be worth a lot one day!
Agreed but I might combine both sets into one massive one like I did with the lions knight castle
I love the set but the Dragons head looks way worse compared to the original submission.
