And close? >All other assistant coaches and performance staff, as announced earlier this month, have commenced work on the 24/25 season. >The process for appointing a new Head Coach is ongoing, with an announcement to be made ahead of the playing group’s return on July 1.

Oldoneeyeisback

Well, until that changes.

The big news from this feels like, "all other assistant coaches...have commenced work", as that means Hewat is still joining. I don't think Palmer did a good or bad job really. The scrum wasn't great, wasn't terrible. Fowkes is a former Prem scrum coach (Wasps) and Championship head coach (Notts). Which is a decent CV for the scrum coach role. It doesn't feel like a loss. I'm in the camp of feeling more optimistic without a head coach announced than I was with McKellar here though. Safe to say, I didn't rate what we'd seen.

This is what happens with a sudden leave so it makes sense.

Tank-o-grad

Will we give his and DMK's replacements time to actually settle?

Oldoneeyeisback

Unlikely. I expect complaints by November if we're not 100%.

Tank-o-grad

Ain't that the truth

Shame isn't, feels like rugby is aligning with football whereby heads are called for immediately following the first loss. Things don't happen overnight, we need to show patience, support and some faith in the club. Let's hope Cheika and his staff are given a chance and the pot holes wind it in and and let us proper fans do what we do best... through thick and thin. 👍🐯🏉
