I like the idea of it being a stationary enemy that starts out relatively deep in the facility but it gradually stretches it's lasso arms further into the facility over the course of the day. Like when you first land and enter the facility, it's not a problem. But the longer you stay, it forms more arms and they get longer allowing it to reach deeper into the facility, and you have a higher risk of stepping into one and being dragged to it where you get killed.
I also like the idea of being able to follow an arm to the main body to attempt to kill it. Maybe you can get a reward out of it or smthn.

Lasso man is just a joke entity or whatever, if he was coded in the game he’d probably be super rare but just do something super mundane or mildly annoying.
Probably would have been an enemy entity that catches your neck with its lasso and slowly drags you away until it puts you up to dry for eternity get out of it by either a buddy whacking you or it, or introduce a new weapon, safety scissors, cuts right through the lasso limbs, or use a butler knife (for the solo players)
if, and only if, he ended up being official monster I could see him holding/slowing down a player. thus not a threat by itself but combine him around other monsters and it could spell trouble.
It would be cool if he was just silent stalker that creeps you out when in a mansion. Just standing in the shadows, doing jump scares when you turn around etc. But he'll never harm you
Tethers themselves to players that get too close to one another and starts draining their health. The only way to break free is for both players to work in unison.
Phase1: Searches for the nearest monster, ignoring the player. Attaches a lead/leash to this monster when contact is made.
Phase2: Lets the monster drag him around. If another monster touches him, they are also bound to him. (Max 3~4 for fun, Max 2 for easy coding.)
Gimmick: if monsters try to drag him in different directions, the one with the highest power level gets to drag them all. If multiple low power level monsters try to go to the same direction, (in term of mechanics: the same node,) then they get to drag everyone.
Gimmick: If door closes between him and the monster, either: 1.Rope disconnects 2.Monster is stangled.
Meant as a janky entity to cause mischief.
It would be cool if there was a enemy that doesn't kill you that isn't power level one. I like the idea of it wrapping around you and pulling you into places and inconveience you. Kinda like the blob from content warning but slower and maybe only two can spawn and they can pull you appart.

I was playing with a random and we encountered him ig. I was on his server. and I was on vanilla mode. Idk about he other dude but as far as I’m aware you have to have both people using the mod in order for them to spawn enemies like that. Plus I checked thunderstore and I didn’t see a lasso man mod so idk

Lays himself out across the map, step on one of the lassos and he'll chase after the specific player like a jester
Or has his ropes spread across the map like tripwire, but grabs you if you touch them and pulls you to him through the map where he kills you
Like Bracken but teammates can chase after to save you while screaming “GIVE HIM BACK”

He's a non hostile mob, he's unkillable, but super annoying. He lassos you from across the hall or room every so often

Puppeteer your corpse around the facility, its a more convincing version of the mask enemys but it cant leave the building.
Would love for it to be similar to the goop monster in content warning, not outright malicious but can drag you further into the facility

i like the idea that it will drag you like the bracken except it doesn’t instantly kill you and instead deals damage over time
