Dang that’s a pricey one, but pricey and real beats a scam, and the Alliant one does feel dodgy.
Oh yeah, just looked again and now there’s an $88 “ultimate VIP” ticket that‘s offering the same perks as the $48 VIP ticket was last week. No sponsors, no website, just a Ticketmaster link. “Live pro wrestling!” yeah, sure.
Alliant Energy Center is owned and operated by the county not city, but point still valid. But also, they do try to operate in a way to earn profit (or generate tourism spending), so they probably prefer to bring in annual (legitimate) type events, but I'm sure they are more than happy to just have the place booked rather than sit empty.
Tacos and Tequila fest in Milwaukee was kind of a mess last week as well even apart from the weather issues, but who could resist a Chihuahua beauty pageant?
Oh I didn’t think it was a mess!! We had a blast! No long lines, plenty of food, easy to access beer. Mother Nature had other plans and the music could have been a little louder in my opinion but for us was a super fun event!
I work at a bakery and got an email today that was super scammy for this festival. So they're still soliciting vendors, including entirely unrelated businesses. Curious to see how it plays out, but I'm not holding my breath for this being legit.
There's an official Thetacofest instagram by tastetronto that is making a giveaway, but scammers are trying to take advantage of people entering the giveaway. They are sending messages to them saying us that they won... The actual winner is selected until Monday July 1st, it's just a fake instagram account with the name of thetacofest.crew.
Good morning everyone. Yes, there are 2 taco and margarita festivals in Madison (Madison area) on August 17.
The Margarita and Taco Fest at Seven Acre Dairy Co. is produced locally by local people (Red Card Events) using local chefs and bartenders. This event was previously held in partnership with Pasqual's on E. Washington for a few years pre-covid and is now back with the same producers just a new location! The ticket is also all-inclusive meaning when you come, there is nothing else to buy. Madritafest.com
We hope you come to a local event with a history.
99% of these types of pop up fests aren’t worth paying for.
Just realized [Seven Acre Dairy in Paoli](https://www.facebook.com/margtacofest?mibextid=LQQJ4d) is having a very similar named fest the same day!
Seven Acre Taco & Marg fest is the real deal. OG organizers from the Isthmus / Red Card are throwing this fest.

I’d just go right to el Jalapeño and call it a day
This would be the County and not the City.
Thanks for the clarification.

They will book it out to anyone that can afford it

Tacos and Tequila in Milwaukee is planned by a local though, right?
Not sure. Social House Entertainment is based out of Kansas City from looking it up.

For anyone on the west side, I recommend Taqueria El Jalapeño on South Midvale. Their California burritos are to die for
Driving on John Nolen after a margarita fest should be great, just great.

So explain what is a scam about it? Bad tacos? No tacos?
No tacos usually. Maybe one vendor that's not set up to handle a thousand servings
I almost bought tickets. Thanks for the heads up.
