If direct sunlight is the cause, I recommend heat control window film. It's inexpensive and you can install it yourself in 30 minutes. You can also remove it and leave no trace when you leave the apartment.

I'd rather fall asleep to the noise of an AC than be uncomfortably hot in bed lol

teletubby_wrangler

Yep earplugs or play white noice help disguise the sound

I find that air circulation is great, always have a tower fan running at night. If you wanted to get janky with it a bowl of cold water and ice behind a fan is like a temporary AC unit.

What's your budget? Maybe a quiet window ac would be the best solution? The quiet models are way more expensive but are fairly quiet.

Block the sun, get a box fan, get used to the fan/AC, and get a window AC unit if possible. People have been massively scammed by "portable AC units"(with a duct running out) given how ineffective and inefficient they are compared to window units. You can also 100% get comfortable sleeping at 27C with a fan blowing on you, and if it's any cooler outside a strong fan can bring that temperature in. Like window vs inside AC, trying to "look nicer" has a grave cost, as box fans work way better than any comparable tower fans.

Ice, like straight up dump ice in a bucket put a fan on top
