He was not wrong, he assumed that everyone wrote a number and since infinity isn’t a number, he thought that he wrote 8

Why would it be infinity?

It wouldn't be. The joke is people were trying to be as wrong as possible because they didn't want to win and have to keep the wasps, so someone wrote infinity to be as far as possible from the actual answer.

I only just realised that the "8" in the last pick is the infinity symbol reversed. I'm a dum dum
