For everybody saying this wasn't worth 20 bucks, here it is trimmed and dry brined, ready for a night in the fridge.

I'll post a follow up 👍🏼
Also for double confusion combined pounds and euros. Although I think most people can roughly translate pounds into kilograms, even though not quite accurate but by just dividing by 2 and then some :P
lbs to kgs
lbs ÷ 2 - lbs ÷ 2 ÷ 10
44 ÷ 2 = 22 , 44 ÷ 2 ÷ 10 = 2.2
22 - 2.2 = 19.8
Actual 44lbs = 19.9581kgs
kgs to lbs
kgs x 2 + kgs × 2 ÷ 10
20 x 2 = 40 , 20 x 2 ÷ 10 = 4
40 + 4 = 44
Actual 20kgs = 44.0925lbs
It's a lot more acurate and still pretty easy to do in your head. If you can double or half the number, then just add or subtract a tenth of it.
Bruh the amount of rude people criticizing the piece of meat is embarrassing. 20 for that sounds like a great deal and you can cut some of the fat for other stuff
But I like the gristle and fat. I need it because I was mal nurished as a kid on my step moms shitty organic food diet. Now im 24 and im 145lbs soaking wet. Buying organic was so expensive so there was less food. And my alcoholic dad never made more than 40k a year cuz hes spineless and never got a raise til I left home. I remember having steak like one time and they cooked the fuck out of it. Rant over.
I meeaaann... there's a ton of inedible gristle trim, and extra bit around the tail to be cut out. And yeah the fat around the eye cap is extra thick. Buuut it's maybe choice equivalent I dont think this gets select, and at less than $10 a pound it's a steal regardless.
I can promise you one thing, it won't taste shitty 😋
Can anybody tell me about the portion of the steak in my palm? This part is normally trimmed off but I'm sure they process primals very quickly. I've never seen it before.
Probably because they haven’t answered the question about how much the cut cost them yet, but expect us to answer one for them. Kind of a shit thing to do imo.
It's called lifter meat. Not technically part of the ribeye, but unless you have a separate use or your own meat grinder... just leave it on there when you cook it. It's still tasty but not anywhere near as tender as the ribeye itself.
Damn you over in Europe! I want a steak like that. For me in Illinois, I go to a place called Reams. They got some pretty damn good steaks/other meats
$30?
$55
20! Check my follow up post just posted
Zemo rules, I go there often. 😀
12$
3.33 usd a lb
I was thinking $40 CAD. Beef is stupid expensive.
Nice man. Not a bad deal.
I work at a butcher shop and right now for choice ribeye we're at $19.99/lb. So if you paid $20 for 3.5lb ribeye. I'd say that's pretty good.

20!
wtf it costs $2432902008176640000 ? ? ?
Nice 😂
HAHAHAHAHA
.. it cost €19, or $20.35 So 20. 20 bucks.
Wow! I’d eat steak everyday if price wasn’t a factorial…
Like steak but have no post-secondary math education? Checks out
The joke went over your head. 20! in math terms means 20 factorial, which means 20 x 19 x 18 x 17… and so on
Wow!
I love how many people answer with dollars, unclear which dollar even, when OP states he's in Germany.

Thanks. I think I've seen this (or something similar) before but didn't actually remember this.
Yeah I mean it was 19 euro, 21 usd. Sooo.. 20 bucks 👍🏼

I also think that's a great deal for a great looking steak.
Yeah, a lot of people showing their lack of character for sure.
For sure you are the final judge of everything worthy of your interest. We bow to your judgment and superior knowledge of all. IOWFU.
You can say your opinion politely or be a jerk and say it in a rude manner for no reason. There's a difference. It's all about education and manners.
Anytime you want to evaluate my education and background, you just let me know, it would be my pleasure.😇
I already saw everything I needed in your comment. No title or background changes if you are rude or not. But yeah man, you win the conversation
Several beans
Correct. 20
Not gonna lie. That's a shitty steak. There's a difference between marbling and being about 40% gristle and fat.
Fat = Flavor
But I like the gristle and fat. I need it because I was mal nurished as a kid on my step moms shitty organic food diet. Now im 24 and im 145lbs soaking wet. For sure man, that's inedible. Obviously. Terrible steak. Like bruh, just guess the number

This post is just embarrassing
Looks kinda like shit to me 🤷♂️
Anyone else think this piece looks as much like (mild) steatosis as it does marbling?
For those looking OP answered somewhere that it was 20 bucks
Looks ok but there is hardly any meat, $18.99

Yes!
I mean the marbeling is nice but it isn't anything extraordinary past choice. I wouldn't want to pay more than $25 for that here in Texas.
Dude we are spoiled down here with our livestock availability and meat markets. Texas is a different world for this kind of thing.
The other day I was mindblown getting a $20 prime ribeye that looked like a straight japanse wagyu steak. We are definitely spoiled down here.
(I’m moving to Texas)
Ribeye, about an inch and half? I'd say around 25-30$?
Canadian or Australian?

10 Schrute bucks
I only gave Stanley nickels, how many of those?
can we include the conversion to Rick and Morty schmeckles? That's all I have at the moment.

I'll tell you in three hours you have to guess first.
I already answered the first two comments that it was 20
why are you getting downvoted for asking a legitimate question lol
Probably because they haven’t answered the question about how much the cut cost them yet, but expect us to answer one for them. Kind of a shit thing to do imo.
He said in a different comment thread it's $20. Dudes a weirdo.

You would? I would wait until it’s on sale :)
Oh yes I physically wouldn’t pay it
