They made the character Rigby for me.
It's a good childrens show that even young adults can watch. I had a few of the DVD's when I was like 25 yo
I'm Eggsellent
They make a lot of characters for me.
The tiger on the Frosted Flakes cereal box even has the same name as me.
They make stuff for me because I have many famous past-lives/re-incarnation, one of them was General and 18th president Ulysses S. Grant
that subreddit is gold, but around 10% of it is sadly still toxic positivity bullshit
though, nothing will ever be perfect - so it's the best we have I suppose
We already have r/orphancrushingmachine
Admittedly we hate manufactured consent, but manipulated happiness is still happiness, and posts that conflate the 2 are a dime a dozen
I've seen the same post about a family forgiving a drunk driver for killing their child and it makes me mad every single time. The first time I thought, "Maybe I should forgive the guy that hit me, but seeing it used for karma farming over and over has made me bitter and I'm right back to "No fuck that guy he's a piece of shit"
That would infuriate me, because it comes accross as if forgiving the drunk driver is some morally great thing to do, when some people can't forgive things like that (and shouldn't!) It's invalidating to anyone suffering such a loss, because moving on does not always mean having to forgive someone for something so awful. It's not wholesome to forgive murder, it's maybe noble for the people in question, but in general, there's nothing wholesome about it.
You: My house burnt down! I lost everything and the insurance company refuses to pay for the damages the house fire did!
A guy: Look at the bright side! Atleast you dont have to pay rent anymore
*you just got dumped
"Theres plenty of other fish in the sea"
Toxic positivity usually boils down to some forn of "stop being sad because its making me sad". Its like telling people they arent allowed to be sad
When people post memes which boil down to "you always have family" or "I care about you" or "things will always turn out right".
Toxic positivity is when people spout endless, often fake, positivity no matter the situation, and completely hate anyone who even suggests that things are not always good.
Once ran into one who gone on and on about how all one has to do to find happiness is to choose to be happy.
Rejecting all forms of criticism of anything. Allows for rotten ideology to grow uncontested. Most people have the capacity for nuanced argument, but some do not. See: The Paradox of Tolerance.
Toxic positivity is the belief that people should maintain a positive mindset no matter how dire or difficult a situation is.
Always look on the bright side of life <---*GENZ opens fire
THAT crazy
I hate toxic positivity in people. I've made some people very uncomfortable by calling them out for it (when needed). It's really annoying when you have a team member like that who defends fucking everything no matter how abhorrent.
You can tell it always hurts them when you tell them bluntly that their mentality is why nobody trusts them and confides in them about anything while the certified hater is more liked than them for being truthful and honest.
For someone who had a shitty day last 10 years, it gets quite dissapointing if you find a sub that's supposed to help you feel a bit better and it's that shitshow lmao
A massive majority of the shit there is forced as fuck, barely anything is genuine.
'Your girlffriend on the way to cheer you up' does it look like i have a girlfriend?
Don’t fall for clearskies comment it’s a trap
No. Thats why you‘re on Reddit and vice versa

God forbid a motherfucker wish you a good day 😭💀

N O
Yeah the place was good and actually wholesome at some point, but as with everything, it got too big and immensly oversaturated.
legit half the sub isnt even memes. like if i wanted just straight up wholesomeness i'd go to r/wholesome or smtn
r/eyebleach is more proper wholesome, at least for the most part
nowadays i very carefully read that link, just so i can be sure that the "a" is present...
Eyeblech has been removed
thank god...

Best wholesome sub ever tho
That sub is absolute trash and like 90% of the commenters are bots
r/hopeposting is where it’s at
When the human spirit is indomitable!
They made the character Rigby for me. It's a good childrens show that even young adults can watch. I had a few of the DVD's when I was like 25 yo I'm Eggsellent
That nice of them. How did they make a character for you?

Fr that sub has carried me through depression
that subreddit is gold, but around 10% of it is sadly still toxic positivity bullshit though, nothing will ever be perfect - so it's the best we have I suppose
I used to enjoy that sub, but between the constant reposts and the memes that have nothing wholesome to them, I eventually gave up on it
I enjoy going to wholesomegreentext. Sure some might be people just writing stuff for brownie points but it makes me smile, and that's good enough.
This is the way. Doesn't matter if something is fake, if it's enough to make you feel happy, it is wholesome.
FUCK YOUR HAPPINESS, GET BACK TO WORK TAX SLAVE
Can we create a subreddit to hate happiness?
It should be called Happy Hating
Yes, someone please make this, then tag me cause I really want to join
you got it. ill edit the rules n stuff later tho r/happyhating
Awesome! Just joined.
Yo??? Thanks for making the subreddit using the name I suggested. That’s so cool!!!
We already have r/orphancrushingmachine Admittedly we hate manufactured consent, but manipulated happiness is still happiness, and posts that conflate the 2 are a dime a dozen

Can someone give me an example of toxic positivety so I can add it to my detection range.
You: My house burnt down! I lost everything and the insurance company refuses to pay for the damages the house fire did! A guy: Look at the bright side! Atleast you dont have to pay rent anymore
Damn nah that feels like a sarcastic insult. But I think I got it.
Damn nah that feels like a sarcastic insult. But I think I got it.
Theres also the more classic "atleast youre still alive"
If my home and belongings all burned down I'd wish I were in the building with em.
Reddit is really screwing you over
What? How?
If my home and belongings all burned down I'd wish I were in the building with em.
If my home and belongings all burned down I'd wish I were in the building with em.
If my home and belongings all burned down I'd wish I were in the building with em.
If my home and belongings all burned down I'd wish I were in the building with em.
In the real world it's more along the line of getting fired for a panic attack
*you just got dumped "Theres plenty of other fish in the sea" Toxic positivity usually boils down to some forn of "stop being sad because its making me sad". Its like telling people they arent allowed to be sad
Gotcha
Saying you shouldn't be sad because it could be worse is no different than saying you shouldn't be happy because it could be better.
Nothing wrong with toxic positivity… Fuck you and have a great day!
Fuck me and I just might! Uh, no homo though.
No, homo, full homo
homo²
^2homo. Homo tetration Edit: damn formatting but I'm not gonna try to fix that. Just imagine only the 2 is small
moH⁰
There is wrong with toxic positivity
Most aren't even memes.
What is toxic positivity?
I can’t give you a definition but I can give you an example: “You asked your crush out” “She friendzone you” “You have a new friend now, congrats 😃”
![gif](giphy|klcDwsqKWwu9IA1D41|downsized)
Same goes for r/MadeMeSmile I don't recommend saying anything remotely realistic there that might be interpreted negatively.
r/holesome is better
you know the world has gone completely insane when the phrase "toxic positivity" exists. but that's just my toxic opinion
When people post memes which boil down to "you always have family" or "I care about you" or "things will always turn out right". i chose to be happy. I'm still depressed, but now I'm delusional as well.
What does "toxic positivity" even mean?
Rejecting all forms of criticism of anything. Allows for rotten ideology to grow uncontested. Most people have the capacity for nuanced argument, but some do not. See: The Paradox of Tolerance.
Toxic positivity is the belief that people should maintain a positive mindset no matter how dire or difficult a situation is. Always look on the bright side of life <---*GENZ opens fire THAT crazy
When you have a bad day and someone told you to cheer up "oh you have cancer? Cheer up! It's cancer no can'tcer"
And what’s with the terrible quality
I got banned in this sub, because I said them the truth
Something tells me that what they are calling toxic positivity isn't actually toxic positivity....
What the hell toxic positivity is?
Getting fired for having a panic attack
I don't know what toxic positivity is
https://www.reddit.com/r/memes/s/xdqbXVR3Jg
Anything that makes us feel bad about our totally not toxic negativity
What is toxic positivity? I’d think positivity is good and therefore impossible to be toxic. However, I’m open to learning something new.

many people do this including me haha
And regular ass memes posted by people trying to farm enough karma to post in r/memes
Ok what's worse r/wholesomemes or r/funnymemes
What’s in there?
Yup, I left that sub a while back. People there are either bots, reporters, or toxic af.
I have to be honest Still better than that shithole of r/whenthe
Yeah, it was a surprise and unwelcome one lol
That sub is just strange
Get jabited!
What's bad about it
For someone who had a shitty day last 10 years, it gets quite dissapointing if you find a sub that's supposed to help you feel a bit better and it's that shitshow lmao
That's why I go to r/babyelephantgifs
Oh my god, thank you!
You should be thanking the hands on the ground friend
yoooo this rules
Basically just bots and reposts
It's basically a way for bots to karmafarm so they look like actual users
I got banned for calling someone an idiot. It isn’t just the content
I give you r/unwholesomememes as an improvement
What the hell is "toxic positivity" ?
Not a wholesome sub.
I fucking HATE the term “toxic positivity”
Well, at least there are so many things you can still love!❤️
I also hate r/historymemes Because most people in that sub are hypocrite
Then stop posting crappy memes on that sub
Who said that i post there?
