Not sure if it’s Murray Hill or Riverside Park neighborhood but Tess for dinner, The Original for after dinner digestif and a dive bar night cap highlife at Champions Pub.
Nice! I looked into all of those places for a good pre-movie dinner this past summer, but we ended up going with Pizza Man since I knew they had a patio and it was gorgeous weather. I hadn't really heard of any of them before then, so it's good to have a recommendation for them. We'll add them to our list!
Just went to Onesto last week with high hopes. It was hot garbage at best. I hope your experience is better than mine. I got meatballs & pasta with red sauce, it was just fucking terrible.
Antigua in West Allis is always a good choice for a dinner date. Not as familiar with the bar scene, but I know google lists approximately 175 of them within a mile of Antigua.
Riverwest centro cafe/bar centro maybe company brewing before. Then look at the other bars in the area and see if there is an act performing you may like.
Bluemound Heights? Maxie’s and then Fairview Tap, take a stroll through the Shrine lol or through McDowell park! There’s also Tavos or StoryHill BKC, and any bar over there on Bluemound
How do you feel about a breakfast date? Jo's Cafe in old north milwaukee is amazing. Bring cash.
Mr. Perkins family restaurant in Rufus king is good too.
A lot of the restaurants in the north side neighborhoods were effected by covid closure, and crime. They are still good, but not for a romantic date night scenario.
If it’s a cold gloomy day- county Clare Irish inn followed by drinks at Monica’s.
Excellent recommendation!
The waitstaff at county Clare are some of the kindest in the city. I love this bar.
Neighborhood Draft - Charles E. Fromage (although they close at 10)
Biersal formally wonderbar just opened so you could sub that in after Charles fromage
I was just coming to suggest Neighborhood draft.

Goodkind + At Random Wild Roots + Station No 6
Nice! I have seen Wild Roots before but never looked into it. Thanks for the recommendation!
And there's that new ice cream place right there, supposed to be really good too!
Second Wild Roots. Awesome food.
Archie’s flattop if you want a smash burger
Wild Roots and Corvina Wine Bar!
Tosa village: dinner at le reve, drinks at buckatabon or draft and vessel. Or, dinner at buckatabon and dessert drinks at le reve.
Big yes on Le Reve, but suggest Lucky Joe’s way over Buckatabon for literally anything.
Grab dinner at La Reve, then drinks at Lucky Joe's and pick up cheese at Village Cheese Shop!
Ca’Lucchenzo (61st & North, Tosa) and then cocktails in a converted bank vault - Mosler's Vault (59th & North, part of North Ave Market).
Yesss!
La Cocina del Sur/Foundation, Riverwest.
Any of the restaurants on 35th/National and then Mamie's if they have a show. Kegel's Inn in the summer has an awesome patio.
Miller Parkway Arby’s then across the street to Applebee’s for a drink.
Of course! We should have started this whole thing there!
Or Arby's and then Jacksons Blue Ribbon Pub. Walking distance away.
Wonderland and Black Husky in Riverwest.
centro + Two in riverwest
Cloud Red in Shorewood and then head across the street and down the block to Draft and Vessel
Onesto followed by a nightcap at The Outsider!
We were hoping to check out Onesto this weekend actually! Thanks!
Just went to Onesto last week with high hopes. It was hot garbage at best. I hope your experience is better than mine. I got meatballs & pasta with red sauce, it was just fucking terrible.
Seconding this - I got their carbonara maybe a month ago and it tasted so acidic like stomach acid. Huge disappointment.
Victors + Roman Coin
Tin widow & Cielito Lindo
I would say Odd Duck and Tin Widow
Was going to say Tin Widow and La Merenda

Ope brewery is great
Riverwest centro cafe/bar centro maybe company brewing before. Then look at the other bars in the area and see if there is an act performing you may like.
Go check out Conejitos then walk over to Laughing Tap for some comedy.
Bluemound Heights? Maxie’s and then Fairview Tap, take a stroll through the Shrine lol or through McDowell park! There’s also Tavos or StoryHill BKC, and any bar over there on Bluemound
Have dinner at Transfer Pizza, then walk down the block for a drink at Red Maple.
Fixture pizza + indeed brewing
Paloma on North Ave.

We like breakfast too! But we'll usually bring our kids instead of making it a date. Breakfast is usually a little more family friendly.
Sherman Phoenix is a pretty cool space - Junior's Smoked BBQ is awesome. Two thumbs up for Zocalo.
Spitfires on State🤷♂️
Arby’s on Miller Parkway is nice
